Chapter 547: Three Minutes, I'll Take You Down
Chapter 547: Three Minutes, I'll Take You Down
After the chaos settled...
"Alright, time to execute the plan—sneak in!" Nami declared confidently, clenching her fist.
Behind her, Luffy and Usopp stood with swollen bumps on their heads, meekly replying, "Roger that."
"Silvers Rayleigh said the ship's location is—" Nami paused, then rattled off, "After entering, turn left first, then right, then right again, left, left once more, then straight ahead until you reach a three-way intersection. Keep going straight, turn right, then go straight and left again. That's where they're hiding the ship. Let's move while the base is quiet!"
She turned to face the group.
Most of them stared blankly, dazed.
Only Robin nodded calmly. "That is indeed the correct route."
"Who can remember all that?!" Usopp wailed.
"Yosh! Let's go!" Luffy rolled up his sleeves and shouted.
"Wait, Luffy—did you actually memorize the directions?" Zoro asked, stunned.
"Huh? Directions?" Luffy tilted his head. "Forget that! Just follow your gut! Sunny, here we come!"
With a booming laugh, Luffy charged ahead at full speed.
"I knew it..." Nami groaned, slapping her forehead as Luffy's lightning-fast figure dashed toward the open gates. "Luffy! Wait for us!"
The crew scrambled to follow.
"Luffy!!!"
A thunderous voice suddenly boomed from behind. They turned to see a determined-looking Navy officer leading a squad straight at them.
"You dare storm a Navy base? Are you openly challenging the Navy?!"
The leader, wielding a rocket launcher, sprinted forward while aiming the barrel directly at them.
"Big Gun Wilbur!" Robin warned. "Watch out—he's dangerous!"
"Don't worry, Robin-san!" Sanji smirked, springing into action with a graceful leap.
Boom!
A cannonball roared from the launcher. As Sanji prepared to kick it away, the gunner bellowed, "Bebi! Jubei!"
The cannonball suddenly expanded, swelling to a size larger than Sanji himself before hurtling toward him. He struck it with a powerful kick.
Kaboom!!!
The impact unleashed a blinding flash of light. The explosion's shockwave sent the Straw Hats flying and kicked up a massive cloud of smoke and dust.
When the haze cleared, Wilbur's squad arrived to find the battlefield deserted.
"Unforgivable!!" Wilbur roared in fury.
"Commander, what now?" a Navy officer asked.
Before he could answer, a shadowy figure dropped down behind him.
"Wilbur!"
Klah, in his beastman form, crouched beside him, nostrils flaring. "Impossible! Pirates actually infiltrated the base?!"
"Commander Klah", Wilbur gritted his teeth, fists clenched. "A disgrace! I've betrayed Kuro's trust! But I'll rectify this—capture the pirates first, then I'll answer to Kuro. For now, sound the alarm! Alert every Navy unit on the island—Luffy's crew has breached the base!"
"Understood!"
The piercing alarm bells erupted across the base.
At the sound, every Navy officer within range mobilized. Transponder Snails blared urgent messages:
"Pirates have infiltrated Navy Base! Reinforcements needed immediately!"
"Straw Hat Pirates invading Navy Base! Requesting backup!"
"Alert Marineford! Dispatch warships to blockade all coastal exits!"
Amidst the chaos, Klah licked his lips. "They won't escape. Once inside this base, getting out is harder than climbing to heaven. Luffy's mine—everyone else, hunt down the rest!"
With that, he charged through the gates, following the scent of blood toward a specific direction.
Inside the base...
"Hey! Nami-san! Robin-san! Luffy!" Sanji called, wandering a dimly lit corridor.
The cannonball had scattered them all. Sanji found himself utterly alone.
"Damn it, everyone's gone!" He lit a cigarette, a vein throbbing on his temple. "Since when could cannonballs grow like that? This island's strength has spiked!"
Sengoku, Klah, Wilbur...
Three formidable foes already encountered. And Lida, whom Silvers Rayleigh called stronger than all of them, plus the island's ruler—Navy Vice Admiral Golden Lion.
"Troublesome", Sanji muttered, sniffing the air. "Better check for auras first. Hmm?"
His nose twitched toward a direction.
"Smells... delicious."
He followed the aroma to a grand door. Pushing it open, he found a massive kitchen empty except for one figure—someone in a Navy hooded cloak, long black hair cascading down, working at the stove.
"A Navy officer!" Sanji tensed.
The figure turned slightly, casting a glance toward the door with delicate brows furrowed.
"Ah~ What a vision from heaven!" Sanji's eyes turned heart-shaped as he slithered forward, spinning into a dramatic kneel. "Fate must have brought us together! How can one woman be so beautiful? Alas, our opposing loyalties divide us like a river! But for you, I'd gladly drown!"
The Navy officer faced him fully—a gentle beauty with soft black eyes, her hair styled in a princess cut tied with a white ribbon.
"Pirate?" Ju Geng asked.
"Indeed", Sanji nodded, stepping closer. "You're Navy, I'm a pirate. Our roles—"
Before he could finish, Ju Geng suddenly reached out, placing a hand on Sanji's shoulder.
"Izumo Throw."
Wham!
Sanji spun through the air like a tornado, crashing precisely into the kitchen wall.
Ju Geng withdrew her hand, eyes cold. "How did a pirate even get inside the base? Strange."
"Ow ow ow..." Sanji slid down the wall, groaning as he stood. "Damn it! She's a lady—I'm a gentleman! I never strike women!"
"You're a pervert who targets women?" Ju Geng arched an eyebrow, glancing back at her sizzling steak. She flicked three fingers. "Three minutes. I'll finish you by then."
