Chapter 547: Revenge
Kai Xiusu drove his weight down hard onto the Abyssal Dragon’s back, his sharp claws suddenly erupting through the scales like spikes, tearing open a series of gushing wounds.
"Roar—!"
The Abyssal Dragon reared upward with a deafening cry, thrashing violently, flailing its limbs toward the nearby hill. But Kai Xiusu seized the moment again—leaping forward with crimson speed, he lunged at the still-raw wound along the dragon’s flank, sinking his fangs deep and ripping flesh and skin clean away in one brutal motion.
"Spines—!"
A violent geyser of blood mist exploded from the dragon’s side, chunks of meat torn free, eliciting a gut-wrenching roar of agony. Blood rained down from the sky, drenching Kai Xiusu as he savagely tore into the beast, his draconic face twisted into a rictus of exhilaration—more monstrous, more terrifying than ever.
In moments, the dragon’s neck and head were reduced to ruin—scales peeled back, flesh torn away in ragged strips. A normal dragon would have already succumbed.
But Jelrazaks was no ordinary creature. He was a scion of the Abyss, a Demon Lord possessing a Divine Body, feared by the Celestial Legion and known only as the "Divine Abomination."
Even under the crushing weight of [Imperial Domain: Sealing], his willpower endured—fueled by an unyielding life force. The Abyssal Dragon writhed beneath Kai Xiusu, rebellion surging with every twitch.
Finally, with a violent heave, Jelrazaks tore the Red Dragon from his back, hurling him aside. From deep within his decaying throat, a mad, guttural whisper emerged:
"As long as I consume you… as long as I consume you… I can…"
But Kai Xiusu was already a crimson blur—dashing to the dragon’s side, his claws slicing through the massive, tens-of-meters-long limb in one swift motion.
"Shh—!"
Blood sprayed. A sharp, cracking sound rang out as the colossal left arm snapped clean off, revealing pale, exposed bone.
"Kai… Kai Xiusu!"
The Abyssal Dragon staggered, limping, turning with painful effort, spewing a foul gust of wind in a desperate attempt at retaliation.
But the Red Dragon was already streaking past his feet, tearing away another massive chunk of scaled flesh—this time from the left hind leg.
"Boom—!"
The final limb buckled under the crushing weight of the mountainous body. The dragon collapsed with a thunderous roar, its breath slowing, its form a ruin of broken flesh and shattered scale.
"Huff… huff…"
Within Kai Xiusu’s Imperial Domain, the once-terrifying Jelrazaks—bearer of Abyssal Power and the body of an Ancestral Dragon—was now nothing more than a wounded beast, helpless beneath his claws.
"Gurgle…"
Yet the dragon still struggled, lifting its head, stretching its neck toward the Red Dragon. Its eyes burned red-black, its expression a mask of feral fury and madness. It no longer cared about its dangling head, the torrent of blood pouring from its wounds—only one thing remained: the final, desperate will to consume the Red Dragon’s body, the instinct of the Avatar of the Apocalypse.
"Boom!"
Kai Xiusu crushed the dragon’s open, bloodied maw into the ground, sending up a violent cloud of dust. The neck snapped clean, leaving only torn flesh and a broken throat still clinging to life.
The Red Dragon slowly raised one claw. An invisible force descended—crushing, absolute—pressing down on the dragon’s skull, rendering it utterly immobile.
But Jelrazaks’ eyes remained locked onto the Red Dragon, filled with endless greed, hatred, and a cursed fury.
Kai Xiusu stepped forward, a faint, mocking smile playing at the corner of his lips. His pale golden eyes gleamed with quiet amusement.
"Tsk, tsk… Look at you now, Jelrazaks. Once the Lord of the Abyss—now just a beast on the brink of being torn apart."
"Huff… huff…"
The dragon gasped, its breath ragged. At the final moment, a flicker of false reason returned. Its maw split open, jagged bone exposed, and it let out a chilling, rasping laugh—like an ancient dragon-lich.
"Hah… Kai Xiusu… do you really believe you’ve won? Useless… Red Dragon. You’ve already been claimed by the Great Abyssal Will. I may have failed… but the world’s destruction is inevitable. And you… you can never escape. One day, your heart will be devoured. Your wings broken. Your head severed."
Jelrazaks’ voice was hoarse, distorted—his final curse, laced with vile hatred and unrelenting aggression.
"Jelrazaks."
Kai Xiusu remained calm, stepping forward to the dragon’s chest. He raised his claw—then brought it down in a single, decisive motion.
"Spines—!"
The sound of flesh tearing echoed through the air. The curse died mid-sentence.
A torrent of filthy blood erupted like a flood, the wounded flesh split open to reveal the inner organs—pulsing, glistening, and grotesque.
"Hmm?"
Kai Xiusu’s expression flickered with surprise.
Before him was not a beating heart.
Instead, a massive, winged demon—more accurately, a Balor Fire Demon—hung suspended in the chest cavity, its body tethered by a web of veins and membranes, feeding the dragon’s body with a steady stream of blood that shimmered with deep, chaotic power.
The demon and the dragon’s corpse were fused—flesh entwined, black-red chaos flames burning between them. They were no longer separate.
This was Jelrazaks’ true form.
"A corrupted demon heart… like Ashadelon. I never thought he’d actually follow through."
Kai Xiusu muttered, impressed despite himself.
Suddenly, the demon within the dragon’s chest snapped open its eyes—burning with a furious, vengeful fire. It laughed wildly.
"Kai Xiusu! No creature marked by the Abyssal Will can ever be freed! I’ll wait for you in the Bottomless Abyss! When I find you… I’ll make you understand—"
But Kai Xiusu had no patience.
The Red Dragon simply opened his maw wide—his throat flaring with a violent, spines-embedded flame.
"Boom!"
A thick column of fire erupted from his mouth, infused with the Edict Strength of the Imperial Domain. The flame struck the demon heart—reducing it to ash in an instant.
A shriek pierced the air—an invisible, long-shadowed spirit surged into the sky, screaming in agony, its voice echoing through the soul itself:
"Hahahaha! I’ll wait for you in the Abyss!"
Deep Abyss demons could never truly die—so long as they perished outside the Bottomless Abyss, their will would reform in the Blood Pool. Even the gods struggled to destroy them completely. The best they could do was seal them in the Stellar Realm.
But Kai Xiusu merely willed it.
The Imperial Domain tightened—crushing space itself. No matter the form—matter, mind, or spirit—nothing could escape.
The dragon’s spiritual scream cut short.
"Impossible… The Great Abyssal Will should have returned me to the Blood Pool… to rebirth!"
The Red Dragon flared his wings, rising into the air, tilting his head with feigned confusion.
"Didn’t you hear the Imperial Realm Proverb?"
With a single, effortless motion, Kai Xiusu extended his claw—snatching the fleeing soul mid-flight. His palm erupted in searing dragon flame.
"No—!"
"Kai Xiusu! We still have a chance! You could become a true Deity! You could—"
A scream tore through the air—ghostly forms writhing in the fire, screaming in agony, pleading for mercy.
"Red Dragon’s Revenge… Eradicate the Root."
Kai Xiusu’s expression remained cold. His pale golden eyes reflected the flames and the shadows of the dying spirit. A faint, fierce smile touched his lips.
He had waited too long.
The Emperor would never allow a demon—knowing his secrets, beyond control—to remain in the world.
