Chapter 546: Jerry's Gift (Second Update)
Chapter 546: Jerry's Gift (Second Update)
Jerry narrowed his eyes:
"Your Majesty, does Wakanda really have no more vibranium?
I’m giving you a chance to rephrase that!"
T'Chaka maintained his kind smile.
"Over a decade ago, a mercenary named Ulysses Klaue, along with his men, broke into Wakanda, killed our guards, and stole all of Wakanda’s vibranium.
I reported this to the United Nations long ago, and the UN has been sending people to help us apprehend the culprit, but they haven’t managed to catch him yet.
Moreover, last year, Ulysses Klaue sold that vibranium to Mr. Stark’s creation, Ultron, who later used it to create Vision, a member of the Avengers.
I’m sure, Mr. Jerry, you are aware of this."
T'Chaka’s meaning was clear: Wakanda was also a victim in this matter. They had already stopped pursuing the vibranium used to create Vision and had no intention of reclaiming it.
As a member of the Avengers, Jerry couldn’t reasonably hold this against them.
In fact, the initial decision to sell vibranium was opposed by the Elders' Tribal Council. It was T'Chaka’s attempt to integrate Wakanda with the rest of the world. However, this decision led to the death of the former border guard commander and many Wakandan citizens, due to the actions of T'Chaka’s brother, N'Jadaka, and greedy mercenaries. Now, the Elders' Tribal Council strictly prohibits any vibranium trade with the outside world.
Therefore, T'Chaka had to announce to the world that Wakanda had no more vibranium, as the rare and scarce material had all been stolen by mercenaries.
Wakanda’s highest leader is the Black Panther, but even he cannot act on a whim. The Elders' Tribal Council exists to balance the king’s power.
The United Nations believes Wakanda’s claim. After all, vibranium is so valuable that it’s logical to assume its quantity was limited, which is why it was previously sold in grams.
Additionally, from the outside world’s perspective, Wakanda is the most backward country, with soldiers using cold weapons and transportation by horse.
Faced with a group of ferocious international mercenaries, it’s reasonable to assume that Wakanda had no resistance and all vibranium was stolen.
Jerry smiled at T'Chaka.
"Your Majesty, I know everything you’ve said. However, I also know that your vibranium reserves have not been completely stolen. In fact, the stolen portion is just a drop in the ocean!"
"Mr. Jerry, you jest. You must have heard something from those mercenaries, but their words cannot be trusted."
T'Chaka’s expression didn’t change; he refused to acknowledge that Wakanda still had vibranium.
Jerry decided not to beat around the bush and said directly:
"Your Majesty, you should know that I am a wizard, a wizard with a very long lineage. In fact, my knowledge of Wakanda is far greater than you can imagine.
For instance, nearly a thousand years ago, a meteorite fell in Wakanda, and your capital, Birnin Zana."
Before T'Chaka could react, Jerry snapped his fingers.
Suddenly, a dark cloud appeared in the sky far away.
Then, several lightning bolts, as thick as arms, struck down toward what appeared to be a barren field.
However, the lightning was blocked by a massive energy shield in mid-air. As the shield appeared, a strange city, blending ultra-modern technology with ancient architecture, emerged from the barren field.
This is the capital of Wakanda, Birnin Zana.
The energy shield is a high-tech energy barrier developed by Wakanda through the study of vibranium.
It can make the entire city of Birnin Zana invisible, undetectable by the technology of any modern nation, and it has an incredibly strong defensive capability to protect the city's safety.
Before T'Chaka could argue, Jerry waved his hand, making the Yurt disappear, and pointed to the now visible Birnin Zana.
Seeing that Birnin Zana had been revealed by Jerry, T'Chaka knew any further words would be futile and apologized:
"I'm sorry, we just don't want to get involved in the wars outside."
"I understand. I don't want to disturb you Wakandans either, but I truly need some vibranium for research.
Of course, I also brought a little gift this time."
Jerry waved his hand, and two people under the Full Body Bind Curse were thrown out from the Ring Dimension.
T'Chaka was startled and exclaimed:
"Ulysses Klaue!"
"Yes, this is Ulysses Klaue, the mercenary who killed your border commander and stole vibranium.
The one next to him is the child of your deceased brother, who is plotting to re-enter Wakanda to contest the throne with your son and then lead Wakanda to wage war and rule the world."
Jerry explained briefly.
After watching "Black Panther" in the "Apprentice of Magic" world, he had a good understanding of Wakanda's secrets.
T'Chaka's brother, N'Jadaka, was sent to the United States as a spy. While engaged in espionage, he fell in love with an African American woman and had a son named Erik.
Due to his long-term espionage activities, N'Jadaka witnessed the unfair treatment and low status of African Americans, so he hoped that Wakanda would extend a helping hand to them.
This violated Wakanda's millennia-old principles and was rejected without mercy.
N'Jadaka then teamed up with the international mercenary Ulysses Klaue. Using his familiarity with Wakanda, he sneaked back to steal vibranium to create weapons to help his African American comrades.
However, he was discovered by the border commander. In the ensuing battle, the border commander and many Wakandan soldiers and civilians were killed by Ulysses Klaue's bombs.
Upon learning of this, King T'Chaka personally intervened to capture N'Jadaka but accidentally killed him during the struggle.
This led to Erik's return to Wakanda to seek revenge.
Jerry wanted to buy vibranium peacefully from T'Chaka, so he had Vision locate Ulysses Klaue's position through the internet, traveled to Busan, and captured both him and Erik.
"Thank you, Mr. Jerry. Since that is the case, please come to my palace. I will give you some vibranium as a token of gratitude for your help to Wakanda."
T'Chaka looked at Erik with a complex expression, sighed, and said to Jerry.
The lightning earlier was a threat, and now the delivery of Ulysses Klaue and Erik was a favor. With a combination of threats and kindness, and considering the Witch's power, T'Chaka knew he could no longer refuse.
According to Wakanda's intelligence, this Mr. Witch is not as kind as he appears on the surface.
