Chapter 543: Imperial Authority
In an instant, a tsunami of Black Mist surged forth from the Abyssal Dragon’s maw, spreading wildly across the ruins of Anstica like a devouring shadow, as if intent on swallowing the very world.
"Boom!"
The sheer strength of the Abyss formed a wall thousands of meters high, shrouding the phantom images of the Three Deities in chaos, blinding them completely. Everything became disordered, wild, and unpredictable.
Yet this power came at a cost.
Jelrazaks’ body, wreathed in swirling chaos, had expended most of its Abyssal Power—only about thirty percent remained. The colossal form of the dragon dimmed noticeably, its once-chilling, glowing eyes now dull and lifeless. The aura of dread that had once radiated from it was no longer overwhelming.
Jelrazaks twisted his head, locking eyes with Kai Xiusu in a gaze bordering on madness, his pupils pulsing with endless greed.
"Hahaha... The Chaos Wall can only delay the arrival of the Divine Judges in the Stellar Realm, preventing their physical manifestations. But if I devour you, Kai Xiusu... I can complete Karex’s body, becoming the true World-Destroying Dragon. Then, even the True Forms of the gods themselves will be powerless to stop me!"
So it was. Jelrazaks had sacrificed most of his Abyssal Power to block the imminent descent of the Three Justice Deities. Yet he still believed that even his weakened state—only thirty percent of his power remaining—was more than enough to crush the Red Dragon.
That Red Dragon was merely a pawn in his grand design, a tool to break the seal and house Karex’s Heart.
At that moment, within Karex’s corpse, the dragon’s blood surged violently, burning with an intense, seething heat. A terrifying aura of domination flooded the land, and the primordial might of the Ancestral Dragon finally erupted in full force.
The Abyssal Dragon’s face twisted into an even more grotesque snarl, its voice growing frenzied, descending into a guttural roar.
"Kai Xiusu, my beloved collaborator—honor yourself, for you shall become part of something great... something that will end the world!"
With a thunderous flap, the Abyssal Dragon unleashed its shattered, sky-obscuring wings and lunged forward, claws and fangs bared, aiming to crush the Red Dragon.
Gale Ravage. Space Shake.
In Jelrazaks’ mind, Kai Xiusu—though a powerful mortal—was still just a slightly larger insect. He could never hope to match the might of a Divine Abomination such as himself.
The full presence of the Ancestral Dragon roared forth, freezing the Red Dragon’s body with sheer terror. Every muscle trembled, every scale quivered.
Yet Kai Xiusu still let out a long, defiant roar.
Fighting against the hurricane-force winds, he beat his wings and surged upward, racing toward the highest peak of the Anstica Mountains—Mount Tiel.
Even after countless cataclysms, the King of the Snowy Mountains stood unshaken, towering over the land. Though it had endured dozens of massive avalanches, it remained defiantly intact.
Jelrazaks pursued relentlessly. His immense size meant each wingbeat carried him for kilometers, creating tempests that shook the heavens and the earth.
The Red Dragon and the Abyssal Dragon streaked across the sky—one fleeing, the other hunting. And yet, Jelrazaks was closing the gap.
"Hahaha! Kai Xiusu, you’re afraid!"
The Abyssal Dragon’s mad laughter echoed through the mountains, shaking the very peaks. The heavy snowpacks collapsed in cascades, pouring down like a waterfall of ice.
"Run all you want! Soon, you’ll realize your struggle is meaningless!"
Each wingbeat sent waves of ancient dragon blood surging through Jelrazaks’ body, fueling him with terrifying power. Black smoke poured from his jaws and nostrils like a living storm.
The jagged claws and fanged maw came within striking distance several times, nearly tearing the Red Dragon apart.
"Shhh—!"
Suddenly, Kai Xiusu accelerated again. He broke away, becoming a crimson meteor streaking across the sky.
With a thunderous boom, sonic shockwaves erupted around him—conical bursts of compressed air forming clouds of sonic fury. A dazzling trail of fiery light flared behind him.
In the blink of an eye, he had flown over ten kilometers, slicing through the wreckage-strewn mountains and landing at the base of the majestic Mount Tiel.
"Huff... huff..."
Kai Xiusu panted softly, his heart pounding. The Heart of Karex, hot as molten fire, beat wildly within his chest.
His pale golden eyes held no fear.
Only euphoria.
Pure, unbridled euphoria.
Power surged around him—raw, overwhelming, divine. Not just the strength of the Edict. No—this was something far greater.
This was the Authority of the 【Empire Domain】.
Ever since the prophecy had surfaced, Kai Xiusu had sent his phantom form to lurk in concealment near Mount Tiel for years. He had systematically transformed the surroundings into the very essence of the Empire Domain.
More accurately—this was his final battlefield, meticulously crafted. The stage for revenge he had long awaited.
Jelrazaks descended upon the mountain like a hurricane, laughing wildly.
"Kai Xiusu! You finally realize your insignificance. Are you surrendering? Good. Good! Become the final piece of my body. Together, we shall destroy the world!"
Faced with the oncoming Abyssal Dragon, the Red Dragon crouched atop the peak, claws gripping the rocky cliffside. He stretched his neck, raised his head, and unleashed a roar of majestic defiance.
"Come, Jelrazaks. Let us end this—here, on Mount Tiel!"
"ROOOOAAARRR!"
A crimson glow flared across his scales. The Heart of Karex within his chest pulsed violently, pumping the ancestral dragon blood through every vein.
Muscles bulged, sinewy veins writhed beneath his skin. Kai Xiusu’s body grew stronger, more massive.
He had unleashed the Bloodscaled Fury.
Then, the air distorted.
Flame vortices spiraled around him, and torrents of Fire Elemental Energy poured forth, reshaping his form.
Kai Xiusu transformed into a semi-elemental state—his body swelling, expanding. Within him, root-like basal vessels glowed with brilliant flame-light, channeling the energy accumulated over years.
With a violent tremor of the mountain, the Red Dragon stretched to over a hundred meters in length—nearly filling the entire peak.
Jelrazaks narrowed his eyes, a grin spreading across his monstrous face.
"Kai Xiusu... you’ve used that power! Continue, and you’ll become a living vessel of Abyssal Will—perfectly suited for my body!"
Indeed, a faint haze of blood mist began to cloud the Red Dragon’s pale golden eyes. Thick black smoke poured from his body, mirroring the Abyssal Dragon’s own.
This was the Will of Destruction, corrupting his mind.
But at that moment, the Supreme True Dragon Crown atop Kai Xiusu’s head blazed with silver light—like a silver moon illuminating the sky, dispelling the chaos of the Black Mist.
His pupils cleared, sharpened. The molten lava glow returned to his eyes—pure, uncorrupted.
Jelrazaks had landed on Mount Tiel. With a final, sweeping flap of his broken wings, he charged toward the peak where Kai Xiusu stood.
"Useless, Kai Xiusu! Bahamut’s remaining divine power cannot stop the arrival of the Great Abyssal Will!"
Indeed, black smoke continued to seep from gaps in the Red Dragon’s scales, creeping across his body—seeking to turn him into a true God of Destruction.
Kai Xiusu stared coldly at the approaching Abyssal Dragon, only a kilometer away. His voice was low, almost gentle.
"Then... what about this power?"
"BOOM!"
The full might of the Empire Domain erupted.
Absolute order. Unlimited authority.
The hurricane vanished instantly. The Black Mist dissipated in an instant. Within a radius of several kilometers, every living thing fell under Kai Xiusu’s control—plants, stone, air, wind.
This was not just power.
This was Edict.
This was Authority.
Kai Xiusu flared his wings and rose into the air. His pale golden eyes blazed with radiant light.
【Supremacy of Imperial Authority】
Jelrazaks lifted his head. In his black eyes, the image of the sun flickered like a mirage. The massive body—over three hundred meters long—shuddered.
For the first time, mockery and disdain vanished from his face.
On that terrifying visage, there now lingered something unthinkable—dread. Even fear.
An aura of intimidation.
A being of his rank, a Divine Abomination, felt intimidation.
It was impossible.
"Divine Realm... how could this be? This is the Third Era—sealed off from the gods! How could there exist a being capable of establishing a mortal divine realm?!"
