Chapter 542: Suffering a Terrible Beating (First Update)
Chapter 542: Suffering a Terrible Beating (First Update)
"You think that by temporarily sealing my Magic abilities, you can defeat me?
How utterly ignorant you are.
Very well, today I will show you what true despair is!"
After finishing the embarrassing performance with his clone, Jerry turned his gaze back to Tony and the others, signaling that they could begin the final phase.
Tony and the other Avengers who knew the plan exchanged looks and then charged at the demon-possessed Jerry in unison.
They had all been beaten up by Jerry’s Shadow Soldiers, and whether they knew the plan or not, they were all boiling with resentment.
Now that the Shadow Soldiers were gone, it was finally their turn to gang up on Jerry. And since Jerry couldn’t use Magic, he could only rely on his physical strength, making them all eager to take action.
"Hulk!"
The temperamental Hulk leaped into the air, swinging his massive fists and roaring as he launched the first attack at Jerry, who was several times larger than himself.
Dr. Banner knew the plan, but Hulk definitely didn’t, so in his eyes, the demon-possessed Jerry was just an enemy.
Especially after being beaten by the Shadow Soldiers, Hulk’s anger had reached its peak, and he held nothing back in his attack.
"Attacking from the air without being able to fly isn’t a good strategy."
However, facing Hulk’s full-force punch, Jerry merely smiled, and with a swift backhand, he slammed Hulk into the mud as if swatting a fly.
Hulk, standing less than four meters tall, was no match for Jerry, who, in his demon form, towered at eighteen meters. Hulk’s attempt to attack Jerry was like a premature baby, less than forty centimeters tall, trying to punch a full-grown adult.
The outcome was predictable.
Seeing the mighty Hulk get knocked away with a single strike, everyone realized that even with numbers, they wouldn’t stand a chance against Jerry without a well-coordinated strategy.
Even without Magic, Jerry’s demon form possessed terrifying offensive and defensive capabilities.
Thus, Captain America directed Spider-Man, Quicksilver, Drax, Groot, and Ant-Man, the close-combat heroes, while Iron Man coordinated War Machine, Falcon, Star-Lord, and Rocket Raccoon, the ranged heroes.
Thor, Scarlet Witch, Vision, and Elsa, the four most powerful and versatile heroes, were responsible for critical moments and saving the day.
And Hulk, despite being buried underground, with his incredible recovery abilities, didn’t need to follow orders; he just needed to keep drawing Jerry’s attention.
Following the pre-rehearsed attack formation, all the heroes leveraged their strengths and worked in perfect harmony, causing Jerry to be momentarily overwhelmed.
However, this only lasted for a short while, as none of their attacks could penetrate his defenses.
Each of Jerry’s powerful strikes was potentially fatal to the Avengers.
Daleo, as a Disaster Demon, had wreaked havoc in several northern cities without sustaining any damage. The numerous Sorcerer Guilds and Sorcerers in those cities had failed to harm him in the slightest.
Even the powerful ice Magic of the S-class Uru proved ineffective.
In the end, it took absolute, unmeltable ice to gradually drain his life force.
This demonstrated just how formidable Daleo’s defenses were.
In reality, among the Avengers, only four of them had a real chance of breaking through Daleo's defenses.
First is Thor. Unfortunately, he hasn't fully awakened the Odin Force yet, and he doesn't have a sharp Thunder Axe. Relying solely on Mjolnir's lightning is far from enough.
The second is Scarlet Witch. She has the potential to tear apart Thanos and, after studying the Dark Tome, has the power to single-handedly destroy Kamar-Taj and the Illuminati of the Multiverse.
If she were to unleash her full power in a fit of rage, she might be able to break through Daleo's defenses.
Unfortunately, she knows that the demon in front of her is actually Jerry in disguise, and this is just a show. How could she possibly get angry?
The third is Vision, with his super-intelligent brain, Vibranium body, and the Mind Stone providing energy. His potential is immense, and when he performs well, his strength is not to be underestimated.
However, his weakness is equally apparent. He is not skilled in combat and cannot fully harness the power of the Mind Stone.
His attack methods include close combat, phasing, and firing high-temperature beams from the Mind Stone.
His strength in close combat is not as great as Jerry's, phasing only helps him avoid Jerry's attacks, and the high-temperature beams cannot penetrate Jerry's defenses.
The last one, of course, is Jerry's sister, Aisha. With the 108 Mahjong Tiles created by Jerry and the Four Sacred Beasts, Aisha, if she were to encounter Daleo alone and unleash her full power, might not win, but she could at least hold her own.
However, she is now facing Jerry, not Daleo. So the Magic she uses against Jerry, though impressive, does zero actual damage.
Therefore, in the current situation, Jerry only needs to prevent these seasoned fighters from hitting any vulnerable spots, and he is effectively invincible.
From this position of invincibility, his attacks are merciless, each one vicious, adhering to the principle that as long as he doesn't kill them, he can beat them to a pulp.
After all, he can repair broken equipment with the Repair Spell and heal injuries with the Healing Spell, even if the process is painful.
Thus, after half an hour, Iron Man's War Armor was mostly shattered, and he knelt on the ground, spitting blood, out of the fight. Captain America's shield was nowhere to be found, and he lay in a crater, unable to muster the strength to get up.
The others were similarly injured, with broken bones and spitting blood, their battle equipment almost completely destroyed.
Even the most resilient Hulk was knocked unconscious and transformed back into Dr. Banner after being hit in the head with a hundred consecutive heavy blows. Vision, who could phase to avoid attacks, was torn in half by Jerry the moment he reappeared in solid form.
In short, the scene was so brutal that many watching the live stream had to cover their eyes.
If someone were to say this was just a show, a deception by the Avengers, no one would believe it.
The only one left unharmed, floating in the air, was Aisha, who was now trembling with fear.
"I didn't expect the gap to be so large!"
Tony, looking at Jerry, who was only slightly out of breath, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and said helplessly.
Though it was just a show, the fact that Jerry could beat them so badly without using Magic was a significant blow to their pride.
He had thought, at the very least, it would be a draw. After all, as a demon, Jerry hadn't used his Magic or his army of Magic creatures; he had relied solely on his physical strength.
