Chapter 536: Magic Mark and Memory Alteration
### Chapter 536: Magic Mark and Memory Alteration
After glancing at the newly activated mission, Ivan couldn't help but marvel at how the System’s nonsense was getting more and more elaborate, with the mission description making him want to punch something.
However, having taken on many such missions, Ivan gradually developed a habit of only analyzing the difficulty and rewards.
As for the rest?
He simply ignored it as if it didn't exist!
Compared to the previous mission, the Mission Reward for tidying up Knockturn Alley was undoubtedly much richer. Those three Legendary Points had Ivan drooling.
If he could get them, he could perform another Bloodline Fusion!
Regarding the other reward, the Magic Mark, Ivan didn't know much about it and could only guess that it might be something similar to the Dark Mark.
Although he wasn't sure if it would be useful, Ivan thought it would be good to learn about this kind of knowledge.
Maybe he could even find a way to remove the Magic Mark!
After all, Dawgert had once been a Death Eater and had a Dark Mark on his wrist. If Voldemort ever really returned, this mark would become a ticking time bomb. If possible, it would be safer to remove it as soon as possible.
However, how to complete the mission was a headache for Ivan.
From the Mission Objective and Mission Description in the System Bar, it was clear that the main focus this time was to gain the recognition of the Wizards in Knockturn Alley.
It was obvious that this wouldn't be an easy task!
There were roughly three hundred Wizards in Knockturn Alley, with a small portion living in the district and the majority scattered in the outskirts or ruined areas.
The composition of the people was very complex, including poor Wizards who couldn't make it in the Wizarding World and those who came here to hide from trouble. The most notable feature was their fierce and unruly nature.
Even the Ministry of Magic paid little attention to this place, making the management difficulty evident.
The only method Ivan could think of was to force his way in, one by one, and make each person submit to him, then drive out those who caused trouble!
However, the impact of such an approach would be too significant. Even if he did carry it out, these people would likely only submit outwardly and might secretly sabotage him, making it uncertain if the mission would be considered complete.
As for the hint in the mission notes, Ivan found it hard to refrain from criticizing. He knew his own capabilities very well; where did he have any Supreme Power?
Even with the boost from his enhanced Runic Inscriptions, his Magic was still far from Dumbledore's.
Relying solely on force to subdue everyone was almost impossible!
After much thought, Ivan decided to take a more conciliatory approach. For example, he could form an Auror Squad to transform Knockturn Alley into a civilized district with a peaceful and orderly community!
That way, most people would likely recognize his control over Knockturn Alley, and he could then drive out those who caused trouble during this period. In a few years, he should be able to achieve some results!
Although this method would take a long time, Ivan couldn't think of a better solution for the moment.
*Thud*~
Just as Ivan was pondering, a dull sound suddenly echoed through the spacious room.
Ivan turned to see that one of the unconscious Death Eaters had woken up, and the sound was from his body hitting the edge of a table.
"Ah! I almost forgot about you!" Ivan slapped his forehead, feeling quite embarrassed, and walked over to the person.
"Dark Wizard!" The Dark Wizard saw Ivan approaching and immediately screamed in terror, his bound body struggling to move backward.
"Shut up!" Ivan's face darkened, and he silenced the man with a Silencing Charm. "You seem to have regained your energy. Good, let's continue!"
"Uhh, uhh, uhh" The Dark Wizard frantically shook his head, his mouth wide open but unable to speak.
When he saw the young witches and wizards pointing their wands at him, his heart sank. He was already beginning to regret agreeing to the other's demands.
Being subjected to repeated Legilimency in a short time felt like someone was shoving a stick into his brain and stirring it wildly. In comparison, he would have preferred a Cruciatus Curse; that might have been more bearable.
"Legilimency!" Ivan waved his wand and entered the Dark Wizard's mind once more.
The Dark Wizard's pupils dilated, his body tensed, and he struggled desperately to expel Ivan's Magic from his brain.
Ivan increased the intensity of his Magic, showing no mercy. These Death Eaters were all scum, each responsible for multiple murders or repeated heinous crimes.
For instance, the Dark Wizard in front of him was a staunch Wizards supremacist, harboring extreme hatred for Muggles. He took pleasure in torturing them and had brutally murdered over a dozen Muggles before being wanted by the Ministry of Magic.
While viewing the memories, Ivan almost lost control of his anger. He treated these Wizards as lab rats, continuously pushing the limits of Legilimency.
He even combined his knowledge of Memory Charm and Occlumency to experiment with modifying a Wizard's memories.
After about ten minutes, Ivan's mind was exhausted, and he stopped the Magic. The Dark Wizard's body twitched uncontrollably before collapsing like a dead fish, lying motionless on the ground.
"Do you remember who you are?" Ivan asked, then lifted the Silencing Charm with a wave of his wand.
"I am the Undercover Agent Sir planted in the Wizarding Market!" The Dark Wizard paused for a moment, seemingly trying to recall something, and said blankly.
"No, that's not right." However, a few moments later, the Dark Wizard's expression grew increasingly distressed. He muttered to himself, and finally, he looked at the young witches and wizards in terror, screaming, "What have you done to me? You demon! You promised to spare me!"
"No, I only promised to spare your life if you cooperated with my Magic practice, and that's all!" Ivan waved his hand and explained.
He always kept his promises. Moreover, he needed to stop killing, so even though these Dark Wizards had committed numerous crimes, Ivan would only erase all their memories and send them to do hard labor, allowing them to atone for their past actions.
Of course, this was only if they could survive the Magic experiments without breaking down or going insane.
"Never mind, why should I explain so much to you? You'll forget everything soon anyway! I'll have to explain it all again tomorrow." Ivan shook his head, finding it amusing.
Hearing this, the Dark Wizard suddenly realized something and felt a chill down his spine. He couldn't remember anything that had happened over the past three days.
