Chapter 529: Aisha's Partner (Second Update)
Chapter 529: Aisha's Partner (Second Update)
"Everyone's here!"
Phantom Shift appeared beside Thor, and Jerry noticed that, apart from Thor, Tony, Steve, Dr. Banner, and other familiar faces were mostly in the room.
"Not everyone, though. Your sister Aisha and little Peter are at the base, training with Sam. Barton retired and we didn't notify him."
Tony shrugged and said.
Ever since Jane Foster was diagnosed with late-stage cancer, Thor had brought her to the Avengers' base for treatment.
After all, there were top biological scientists like Dr. Banner, who created the Extremis virus, and Dr. Hansen, along with some biological experts from S.H.I.E.L.D. who could help.
Unfortunately, Dr. Banner's treatment plan could turn Jane into a woman with a split personality, similar to the Hulk. Thor didn't want to risk the awkwardness of Jane transforming in the middle of an intimate moment.
Dr. Hansen's Extremis virus was unstable and had a chance of failing or exploding. Its primary function was regenerating limbs, not curing cancer cells.
So, Thor turned to Jerry, hoping Jerry's magic could cure Jane's cancer.
If that didn't work, he would have to resort to turning Jane into a female Hulk.
"Little Peter? Peter Parker!"
Jerry's face showed some surprise.
Tony curiously asked:
"Yes, Peter Parker. He's a kid who was bitten by a spider and developed superhuman abilities. He calls himself Spider-Man and, like your sister, enjoys fighting crime in the city. I was worried he might lose control and cause trouble, so I brought him to the base to train with Aisha."
"No wonder Aisha said she recently met a very chatty friend!"
Jerry suddenly remembered Aisha mentioning a few days ago that she had met a new friend who was nice but very talkative. It turned out to be Spider-Man, Peter Parker.
"He's quite chatty, almost as much as Quill. Do all the Peters on your planet talk so much?"
At that moment, Gamora, standing to the side, chimed in with a comment.
She recalled how Peter had started babbling nonstop when he first met her, curious like a little kid.
"Hey, Gamora, don't say that about Peter. I think we get along great. Now everyone calls us Big Peter and Little Peter, and it's pretty cool, you know."
Peter Quill pulled out his elemental gun and struck a pose he thought was cool. Gamora rolled her eyes in response.
"Thor, shouldn't we focus on how to save Jane? Jerry, you said you can cure Jane, is that true?"
Thor downed a large glass of beer and looked at Jerry with hope.
Jerry smiled and nodded, then pulled out a bottle of potion he had prepared and tossed it to Thor:
"Have Jane drink this potion. She should be cured in a few days!"
"Jerry, I knew you were the most reliable. I don't even know how to thank you!"
Thor caught the potion and his face lit up with joy. His beloved Jane wouldn't have to become a violent female Hulk.
His dignity as a man would be preserved.
"If you really want to thank me, get me some Uru Metal when you have the time. I need it for some research."
Jerry thought for a moment and said to Thor.
His twelve sets of golden armor performed well, but their hardness was slightly lacking. The Libra Armor had exploded during an experiment due to an excessive output of magic power.
So, this time when he returns to the Main World, he plans to get some Uru Metal and Vibranium to see if he can upgrade his gear.
At the same time, he intends to use this opportunity to upgrade his ring as well.
Uru Metal is an extremely rare metal from the Nine Realms, originating from the Dwarf Kingdom. Most of the famous Asgardian artifacts, such as Gungnir, Mjolnir, Loki's Dagger, and the Destroyer Armor, contain this metal.
"No problem, once Jane recovers, we'll have the wedding. At that time, Odin will allow me to take Jane back to Asgard, and I'll bring you some Uru Metal from the warehouse."
Thor nodded enthusiastically.
As the future heir of Asgard, getting some Uru Metal from the warehouse is no big deal.
The only issue is that he is currently restricted and cannot return to Asgard freely.
However, once Jane recovers, this will no longer be a problem, as per Asgardian law, he must return to Asgard to receive the blessing of Odin and the Queen when he marries Jane.
Watching Thor excitedly leave the room with the potion, Jerry turned to Steve and asked:
"How is Aisha doing? Is she performing well?"
Since the construction of the Avengers base, Steve has been in charge of training the new Avengers, including handling crises that S.H.I.E.L.D. can't solve.
Steve nodded first, then hesitated a bit before saying:
"She's excellent. She inherited your Magic abilities and can work with almost any team. She's also very talented in combat. Recently, she teamed up with young Peter and took down a dangerous individual named Killgrave, who can control people's minds.
However, she keeps insisting on seeing you, saying she has something important to tell you."
"I see. I'll go see her, but I can't do it in this form."
Jerry thought for a moment, then used his Transformation Magic to change into Hermione's appearance.
His current transformation isn't the same as the Illusion Magic he used before, nor does it require the Polyjuice Potion. It's a more realistic bodily transformation, similar to Disguise Mastery.
This transformation was made possible after he saw Ultear use her Transformation Magic and then found similar magic books in the Fairy Tail Library, which he then improved upon using his own Magic principles.
"Jerry, after you see Aisha, don't leave right away. I have something important to discuss, something that concerns all of us Avengers."
Just as Jerry was about to follow Steve to check on Aisha's training, Tony's expression turned conflicted, and he spoke up.
Jerry was slightly taken aback, guessing what it might be, and then smiled.
"Sure thing!"
At this point, the only event that could make Tony so conflicted and affect the entire Avengers team is likely the Sokovia Accords.
Although his presence prevented significant casualties in Sokovia and even saved the entire city,
Ultron's appearance and the expansion of the Avengers team have undoubtedly made the government officials of various countries feel a sense of crisis.
Originally, as the top officials of various governments, they were the most influential people in the world.
However, the emergence of the Avengers and other superpowered individuals has disrupted this status quo. Without restrictions, how could they feel at ease?
This is evident from recent news reports.
