Chapter 525: The Big Fish and the Shrimp
Chapter 525: The Big Fish and the Shrimp
"Master, I'm not used to you like this."
The hood of the cloak stood up, and Wade heard a faint voice.
"Don't talk nonsense", Wade said. "Make yourself look more ordinary."
"Wouldn't it be better to turn invisible?"
The cloak grumbled, changing color from top to bottom to a plain black, almost blending into the night.
Wade looked around, helping a fallen young student to his feet. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine..." the girl said, looking up and recognizing the young wizard in front of her. She immediately shouted, "You, you're Harry Potter!"
In the dark, people immediately turned to look in their direction.
Harry had appeared on the Mirror of Truth several times and was now a world-renowned "star wizard." Even students from other countries could recognize him instantly.
Wade frowned. "It's chaotic here. Go into the forest quickly."
"O-Okay."
The girl nodded, her eyes fixed on his face. She stumbled away toward the woods after Wade gave her a gentle push.
Wade surveyed the area and, like other well-meaning wizards, ran toward the most chaotic spot.
However, compared to the others, his height was noticeably shorter.
Wade had just used a Stupefy spell to knock out a goblin when someone suddenly grabbed his arm. He turned to see Sirius Black.
"Harry!" the man called out, his face filled with worry. "What are you doing here? Never mind, come with me!"
He pulled Wade into the forest. Wade didn't resist, glancing at the man's back with a slightly disdainful look.
As they ran past a palace-like tent, the man suddenly yelped and fell, rolling into the shadow behind it. He lay on the ground, clutching his leg and groaning in pain.
"What happened?" Wade asked from a distance, genuinely concerned.
"My leg... I think it's broken." He reached out, struggling to say, "Help me up, Harry."
"Sure." Wade responded, extending his hand. But before the man could grab it, Wade pulled his hand back.
The man, grabbing at air, looked at Wade's serious and concerned face, wondering if he had said "give me a hand" instead of "give me five."
—Should I say it again?
He pretended his leg was in pain and was about to speak when he saw Wade fumble in his pocket and hand him something.
The man looked down... it seemed to be a badge.
"What's this?" he asked, holding the badge.
"A one-way ticket", Wade said with a smile. "Have a pleasant journey, Mr. Torka."
Garr Torka, disguised as Sirius Black, looked up in shock. "How did you—"
Before he could finish, he felt a hook in his navel pulling him up, and he was lifted off the ground!
"Bang!"
The vampire landed, rolling a couple of times. When he looked up, he saw a huge furnace in front of him, with burning coals glowing a fiery red, the heat almost singeing his hair.
Garr scrambled backward on all fours, bumping into someone's legs with the back of his head.
He turned to see an old man wearing peculiar goggles, holding a long-necked glass bottle, looking down at him.
"...Wade?" the old man called out tentatively.
"Wade Gray?"
Garr was startled and looked around, expecting to see Wade's chilling face.
But there was no one.
"Isn't it?" Vervellet muttered in disappointment. "I thought Wade had finally used the Portkey I gave him... Who are you, young man?"
"I..." Garr looked at him, his heart pounding. Just as he was about to probe the man's identity, the door opened.
"Full Body Bind!"
Before he could see who had entered, a spell hit him. Garr fell to the ground like a board, his limbs stiff and unable to move, only his eyes rolling around.
"Let me take this guy, Vervellet." Antoine grabbed Gellert by the leg and dragged him toward the door, grinning. "He's a wanted criminal. Wade can't deal with him right now, so he sent him over."
"Uh, uh."
Vervellet was still a bit confused, but since it wasn't Wade, he didn't bother to ask. He just picked up the badge Gellert had dropped on the ground, blew on it, and wiped it with his thumb a couple of times.
"This brat, giving him something to save his life, and he just tosses it around carelessly."
The old man grumbled in dissatisfaction, then recast the Portkey spell on the badge, put it in a small bag, wrote "Wade Gray (To)" on it, and sent it off with an owl.
Watching the gray bird fly away, Vervellet couldn't help but sigh and muttered to himself:
"Getting noticed by Gellert isn't an easy thing... Wade, you must take good care of yourself!"
...
Two flowers bloom, each with its own story.
Wade, who had intended to catch a big fish but ended up with a shrimp, continued to pretend to be Harry, wandering around. On the other side of the camp, the real Sirius Black found himself in a very awkward situation.
Two and a half hours earlier, the match had ended, and people were leaving the stadium. Sirius knew the Weasleys were responsible for Harry's safety, so he quietly followed the Malfoys as they left their box.
The crowd was dense, and Lucius Malfoy didn't notice he was being followed.
In fact, it was hard to follow anyone in such a crowded environment. Less than five meters out of the stadium, Sirius was pushed around and lost sight of the family.
But he wasn't worried. He swayed slightly, and a large black dog appeared in the crowd. His Animagus transformation was extremely proficient, and the night was dark, so no one noticed.
The black dog sniffed the air, catching a whiff of the perfume, and confidently stepped forward, weaving through people's legs. Soon, he saw the family's pale blonde hair.
Draco Malfoy was waving his wand, unconsciously mimicking Krum's dive on the field, and said excitedly:
"I thought he was going to crash—perfect Wronski Feint! Genius tactic! If I could master that skill, I wouldn't lose to Potter and his scar in the match!"
"Then what?" Lucius Malfoy cut him off, sneering. "Accidentally break your neck? Draco, I thought you knew—Quidditch is just a game; you don't need to use dangerous tricks to please the crowd!"
"I... I just... I just want to beat Potter! I hate losing to him!"
"Then practice more spells!" Lucius Malfoy said irritably. "I'd prefer you to outperform Harry Potter or crush him in a duel!"
Draco's pale face turned red.
"Your father is right, Draco", Narcissa said, using her long fingers to smooth her son's wind-tousled hair. "Don't risk your life for this game. The Quidditch World Cup isn't as important as your safety, let alone a school match."
The black dog nearby snorted, giving the spoiled blonde boy a disdainful look.
As they spoke, they had walked to a quiet corridor, away from the other spectators.
"Narcissa, take Draco to the forest and don't come back until the chaos is over", Lucius said, then looked at his son. "Follow your mother and don't wander off, or you'll lose your allowance for next semester!"
Narcissa's pale face showed disagreement, but she said nothing, nodding silently. Draco immediately asked, "Father, what are you going to do?"
Lucius leaned on his cane, a cold smile on his lips.
"A night of revelry needs some entertainment", he said. "We're going to find some Muggles... to liven things up."
