Chapter 522: Boros: I Need Some Excitement in My Life
Chapter 522: Boros: I Need Some Excitement in My Life
In the sky...
After mercilessly defeating Geryuganshoop, Tornado gently lowered her hands, and the massive storm that had enveloped the shattered spaceships, stretching for thousands of meters, slowly dissipated.
She retracted her hands, placing them gently over her chest as she gazed in the direction of Geryuganshoop's remains, letting out a proud little hum. "Hmph! Underestimating me, huh?"
"Oh, nice work."
Feng Ye, floating not far away, clapped lightly.
Even though Feng Ye's demeanor was calm and his smile natural, it still gave Tornado an odd feeling. She stuck her tongue out at him and said, "Don't get too cocky over there. I'll get you back for this someday!"
Feng Ye lowered his hands and smiled amiably. "It's just a word written on your body. No need to hold a grudge over it."
Tornado huffed in annoyance. "Then let me write something on you, you jerk!"
"That's out of the question."
Feng Ye smiled faintly. "We'll see about that after you beat me... Anyway, there's one more monster left. We'd better hurry or we'll miss it."
As his words trailed off, Feng Ye's figure flickered and he vanished into the spaceship.
Tornado, who had been about to say something, stopped as she saw Feng Ye disappear. She withdrew the hand she had extended and instead made a small fist, her mouth twisting in a pout. Then she, too, transformed into a streak of light and chased after Feng Ye, entering the spaceship.
...
In the spaceship's core power room...
"...It's because of a prophecy."
Boros, clad in his metallic armor, descended step by step from his seat and approached Saitama, explaining, "A prophet made a prediction that on a distant planet, there would be someone capable of giving me a challenging fight."
"This was twenty years ago. It took a long time to get here, and my subordinates thought the prophecy was a load of nonsense, just to keep us occupied temporarily. But now I'm sure of it."
As he drew closer to Saitama, a glint of excitement shone in Boros' single eye.
It had been a long time since he had encountered a worthy opponent.
Invincibility and overwhelming power had become boring.
His subordinates, his combatants, Geryuganshoop, and even this spaceship meant nothing to him. All he craved was for his dull life to be infused with some excitement once more!
"Come on, spice up my life a little!"
"That's why I'm here!"
Boros' eyes gleamed with enthusiasm as he looked at Saitama, a smile spreading across his face.
Bang!!!
In the next moment, Saitama's fist connected with Boros' chest and abdomen, causing his entire body to arch backward like a shrimp as he was sent flying.
"Are you an idiot? Invading someone else's planet just because you're bored... Oh."
Saitama spoke expressionlessly, but then he paused in surprise as he saw the section of the spaceship directly behind Boros suddenly explode.
Emerging from the ruptured opening in the shattered ship cabin was Tornado, her body glowing with a faint green light. And flying straight toward her was the backward-tumbling figure of Boros.
"Huh?!"
Tornado was momentarily taken aback but quickly used her psychic powers to defend herself. However, Boros, propelled by the force of Saitama's punch, flew backward with astonishing speed and power, crashing into her hastily erected psychic barrier and causing it to crack profusely.
Just as Boros was about to shatter her psychic barrier and slam into her, a fist enveloped in thunderous light shot through the space beneath her arm and struck Boros in the back.
Bang!!!
The armor on Boros' body exploded into pieces.
He flew out once more, this time colliding head-on with Saitama.
"Ah..."
Saitama, who had been watching Feng Ye and Tornado, now turned his gaze back to Boros and, expressionless, kicked out at him. The kick landed squarely on Boros' chest.
Bang!
Boros spat out a mouthful of blood, his body flying upward and smashing into the cabin ceiling, which he promptly broke through.
He continued flying upward, smashing through multiple layers of the spaceship until he finally burst through the entire vessel, allowing a ray of sunlight to shine through the gaping hole and illuminate the cabin.
Tornado glanced upward before turning back to Saitama, a displeased look on her face. "Hey! What are you doing, barging in here and smashing things around? Watch where you're going!"
"You're the one who suddenly barged in from over there."
Saitama retorted.
But at this moment, he didn't feel like engaging in a lengthy conversation with Tornado. Boros' strength had taken him slightly by surprise. It was a rare occurrence for someone to withstand a punch from him and not die, the first since the Ten-Tails. This piqued his interest somewhat.
Saitama crouched down slightly before leaping upward through the hole Boros had made, chasing after the latter's retreating figure.
Tornado followed suit, flying through the gaping hole and out of the spaceship's cabin, eventually reaching the top of the ship.
On the ship's top...
Boros, his armor shattered, unleashed the energy within him. His skin turned a deep blue, and an aura of terrifying power emanated from his body.
Standing tall, he looked ahead at Saitama, Feng Ye, and Tornado, who were making their way towards him. His eyes gleamed with excitement as he declared, "With just one hit, you shattered the armor that restrained my energy. Indeed, you are strong..."
"Now it begins! It will only be meaningful if I defeat you like this!"
As Boros finished his somewhat impassioned speech, his body vanished from sight, leaving only a streak of light as he rushed towards Saitama and Feng Ye.
At this moment, Boros's speed was beyond imagination, far surpassing what the naked eye could track, leaving only a flickering trail of light in its wake!
Whoosh! !
Moving at this incredible speed, Boros appeared before Saitama and threw a punch.
Saitama lifted his right arm casually, as if it were an afterthought, and blocked Boros's punch. Despite appearing slow, Saitama's movement effortlessly matched Boros's speed!
Boom! Boros's punch landed on Saitama's right arm, but it was like a mere tap against a thick, sturdy rock, having no effect whatsoever.
After landing the punch on Saitama, Boros didn't continue his assault or pause; he vanished again, reappearing beside Feng Ye, and threw a punch aimed squarely at his cheek.
Feng Ye remained calm and collected.
With his arms folded in front of him, he made no attempt to defend himself, and it seemed he would be hit. But at the last moment, Boros's punch only connected with thin air!
All that remained was Feng Ye's afterimage! Unbeknownst to Boros, Feng Ye had subtly moved back, creating just enough distance to dodge the attack!
"So fast..." Boros's pupils contracted slightly.
Saitama felt heavy and difficult to move against, but Feng Ye gave off an eerie feeling. Even with his energy unleashed, Boros struggled to match Feng Ye's speed!
He had barely caught a glimpse of Feng Ye's movement!
At that moment, Tornado flew up from the hole behind them.
Boros, having missed his punch on Feng Ye, flipped in the air and appeared before Tornado, driving his knee towards her.
Buzz! ! !
Tornado's psychic barrier sprang to life, but under Boros's attack, it cracked like ice, spreading countless fractures in all directions.
Even without unleashing his Meteor Burst form, Boros, in his energy-liberated state, surpassed Tornado in power!
Crack!
The psychic barrier ultimately shattered.
As Boros's knee continued its trajectory towards Tornado, she felt her body lighten as a hand grabbed her, lifting her up slightly.
Once again, Boros's attack found only air.
Feng Ye, floating in the air, held Tornado by his side and smiled casually. "This guy's power surpasses those previous monsters. Be careful."
"... " Tornado remained silent, her eyes steely with determination.
She hadn't been careless earlier; she had erected her psychic barrier with full focus and power. Yet, it had still been broken!
Up until now, only three people had broken through her psychic barriers: the God-level monster Ten-Tails, Feng Ye the Thunder God, and now Boros!
Anyone who could shatter her psychic barrier was a formidable opponent she might not be able to defeat.
"Looks like this final boss isn't some weakling..." Tornado muttered, her eyes narrowed in concentration.
Just then, Feng Ye set her down and looked towards Saitama, who was not far away.
Saitama also turned to face Feng Ye, raising a fist. "I got here first."
"Alright, then you go first." Feng Ye smiled gently and gestured for Saitama to proceed. He then took Tornado by the hand and moved to the edge of the spaceship.
