The day after Slughorn's Christmas Dinner Party, the Hogwarts Express began to transport some students back to London. On a landscape blanketed in thick snow, the red train engine brought a splash of color to the quiet, white expanse.
"Malfoy and Snape had a secret conversation last night. I think they're definitely planning something sinister", Harry told the five people in the compartment after Ginny asked him about what he had overheard.
"Snape seemed very worried about Malfoy, but Malfoy dismissed him", Harry whispered to Liam, Hermione, Ron, and Ginny. "Snape thinks Malfoy might be expelled, but Malfoy said Katie being under the Imperius Curse had nothing to do with him. Then they talked about how he learned Occlumency from Bellatrix and mentioned that someone had given him a job he's working on. He also said he doesn't need Defense Against the Dark Arts. Snape mentioned that he and Malfoy's mother made an Unbreakable Vow to protect Malfoy and help him. Oh, and Crabbe and Goyle are Malfoy's assistants."
"Unbreakable Vow?" Ron's eyes widened. "An Unbreakable Vow can't be broken. If you break it, you die. When I was five, Fred and George tried to get me to make one. I almost did, but Dad caught me just as I was shaking hands with Fred. He was furious; it was the only time I ever saw Dad get as angry as Mum."
"So I think Malfoy is definitely up to something dangerous and evil, and Snape knows about it. Otherwise, they wouldn't need an Unbreakable Vow", Harry concluded.
"I agree with you", Ginny, sitting beside Harry, squeezed his hand. "I believe you."
"Professor Snape—surely he wouldn't be involved in any of Malfoy's schemes, right?" Hermione asked hesitantly. She still preferred to trust authority figures. "Besides, Professor Dumbledore trusts him."
"Of course", Liam said, noticing the displeased looks from Harry and the others. He squeezed Hermione's hand. "We have no concrete evidence to prove that Malfoy is up to anything evil, let alone that Professor Snape is involved. Remember, Snape is a member of the Order of the Phoenix. Without solid evidence, our accusations would be inappropriate."
"However", Liam paused, "Malfoy is definitely doing something secretive at school, and Snape knows about it. Given the current state of war, it's essential to assume the worst and be prepared. So, Harry, you need to inform Professor Dumbledore about this the next time you see him."
"Right, Dumbledore first. I might also need to talk to Ron's dad and Sirius Black", Harry agreed, clenching his fist for emphasis.
Ron, who was about to say something in support of his best friend, was interrupted by a light knock on the compartment door. Through the glass, Liam saw Lavender Brown waving at Ron. Ron walked over to the door, opened it, and they had a brief conversation before Lavender left.
"Anyway, Harry, I support you unconditionally", Ron said as he returned to his seat. "And you should come to The Burrow with Sirius Black and the others this year. Of course, I hope Liam and Hermione can come too."
During the rest of the journey, Ron found an opportunity to leave the compartment, likely to spend some time with Lavender before the holidays.
The next morning, after finishing breakfast and preparing to leave for the plantation in Norway, Rose Crystal suddenly emerged from the Multiverse General Store to tell them that an emergency had occurred.
"Big Brother, the Cullen Family from Twilight has sent us an urgent plea for help", Doll suddenly flew out from a blue-glowing dimensional gate as Liam and the others were walking to the hallway, handing over a piece of paper. "I found this while on my routine patrol of the worlds, in the cabin where we used to live. They contacted us using the information we left before we left."
The paper was actually a postcard, which simply stated that the Cullen Family was in a life-threatening situation and needed Liam's help.
"I think we'll have to delay our meeting with the Werewolves, including Lupin, by an hour", Liam said. "Let's go see what's happening with the Cullen Family first."
The two of them stepped through the dimensional gate and arrived at the small wooden cabin in the Twilight world just as Brie was walking in from outside. She approached Liam, looking somewhat excited. "You finally made it. I thought you might not come."
"What happened?" Hermione asked, grabbing Brie's arm. "We came as quickly as we could after seeing your message."
"Here's what happened—" Brie calmed herself down after seeing Liam and the others, then explained the recent events. Five minutes later, Liam and the others finally understood what had transpired.
"So, Bellatrix's daughter, Renesmee, has been discovered by the Volturi, and they want to kill the infant under the pretense of the law, is that right?" Liam summarized after listening to Brie's account.
"Yes", Brie nodded at Liam. "That's why we need your help. We've already gathered 17 people and the Quileute werewolves, but we still have a significant power gap compared to the Volturi. That's why we reached out to you."
"We will do everything we can", Hermione said. "It's hard to tolerate someone killing an innocent infant for their own gain. By the way, is the Cullen Family still living in the same house?"
Receiving a nod in response, Liam and the others Apparated to the front door of the Cullen family's large house. The house was bustling with people, and in the nearby woods, a few vampires were practicing combat, including Bellatrix and Edward. Upon seeing Liam and the others appear suddenly, a young woman with long golden hair, her hands crackling with electricity, rushed over, while a brown-skinned man who looked Middle Eastern released a wind blade with his outstretched hands.
"Stop, they are friends", Bellatrix shouted, but it was a bit too late. The two vampires' attacks were already incoming. However, Liam simply waved his right hand, and a ring on it emitted a circle of white light, knocking away the advancing vampires and their attacks. This made Bellatrix's warning seem more like it was directed at Liam and the others.
"It's good to see you", Bellatrix said after a brief explanation. Liam and Hermione were then introduced to the vampires who had come to help, such as Electric Kate, who had attacked them, and Benjamin, an Egyptian vampire who could manipulate natural elements and had released the wind blade.
Upon learning that Liam and Hermione were the original providers of the Dragonblood Fruit, the vampires expressed their gratitude to Liam. The Dragonblood Fruit had significantly reduced the chances of them being discovered by humans. Additionally, they were amazed by Liam and Hermione's strength, finding it hard to believe that pure humans could possess power on par with vampires.
After a bit of conversation, everyone returned to the Cullen house, where Renesmee surprised Liam and Hermione. Standing before them was a girl who looked about six or seven years old.
"Didn't we only leave for a few months?" Hermione asked, her eyes wide. "Do vampires grow that fast?"
"We're not sure", Bellatrix replied. "Theoretically, vampires can't have children, so we're not entirely clear on this. For me, as long as Renesmee grows up healthy, that's all that matters."
