Chapter 513: The Hikikomori Vampire Ancestor
Chapter 513: The Hikikomori Vampire Ancestor
Naturally, Yecheng and Squirrel's decision was something that Yalbert and the Guardians of the Necropolis of Nazarick could not agree to.
After Demiurge's explanation, they had just realized the potential threat to the Supreme Sovereigns in this world.
Without confirming the safety of the surroundings, it was out of the question for Yalbert to let the two remaining Sovereigns of Nazarick venture out alone.
Considering the unknown dangers of the other world, Yalbert's concerns were valid. After some hesitation, Squirrel finally agreed to let the fully armed Yalbert and Satiya accompany them as escorts.
The reason for choosing Yalbert and Satiya was simple. Yalbert was the strongest tank character in the entire Necropolis of Nazarick.
As for Satiya, her single combat ability was the strongest among the Guardians, ensuring that if any unexpected situations arose, the two of them could at least guarantee the safety of Yecheng and Squirrel.
To gather information, they needed to seek out intelligent life forms. Using Squirrel's scouting magic, they quickly located a nearby village called Kahn Village.
"Squirrel, let's split up. It'll be more efficient this way.
You head to Kahn Village, and I'll search the surrounding area. We might stumble upon some unexpected gains."
Upon hearing Yecheng's suggestion, Yalbert, already fully armed and clad in black full-body armor, was about to say something, but Squirrel interrupted with an outstretched hand.
"That's fine. With your strength, even with Satiya, if you encounter danger, it's unlikely that we'd be of much help."
Squirrel had great confidence in Yecheng's abilities, thinking that if even Yecheng and Satiya struggled against an opponent, he might become a burden.
The 'Kahn Village' he had just observed through his scouting magic didn't show any powerful individuals, so he agreed to the split-up.
Watching Yecheng and Satiya gradually move away, Squirrel turned to Yalbert beside him and said, "With Yecheng and Satiya's strength, even if they encounter an unbeatable opponent, escaping should be easy for them."
Yalbert could only nod in agreement to Squirrel's words.
What Squirrel didn't know was that Yalbert disagreed with splitting up not because she was worried about Yecheng's group but because she was concerned about Squirrel's side.
As everyone knew, Squirrel was a magic chanter, a typical high-damage, low-defense character. As a close-combat novice, Yalbert was apprehensive about her ability to protect Squirrel alone if they encountered a formidable foe.
After parting ways with Squirrel's group heading to Kahn Village, Yecheng and Satiya began wandering aimlessly around the area.
With Yecheng's purposeful search, they soon discovered a unit hidden south of Kahn Village.
Upon seeing a group of Radiant Canon members dressed in priestly attire, Satiya, clad in a full-body crimson armor and embodying the Blood Valkyrie, drew her weapon, a long syringe spear.
"Lord Yecheng, they're lowly creatures. Should we eliminate them all?"
As a Layer Guardian of the Necropolis of Nazarick, Satiya shared a common flaw with most of its members: viewing all life forms outside Nazarick as inferior trash.
Satiya's Justice value is -450, which undoubtedly makes her an extremely evil villainous character in the eyes of humans.
And just like her abysmally low Justice value, when Satiya laid eyes on the members of 'Radiant Canon', her first instinct was to consider eliminating these humans.
"Satiya, have you forgotten the purpose of our mission? You were created by my dear friend Perorokino, and although he's not here right now, I'd like you to use your brain more and not rely solely on force to solve problems.
Otherwise, you might find yourself at a disadvantage in this regard one day."
Yecheng was well aware that Satiya was created by Perorokino specifically to counter Squirrel. Satiya's individual combat prowess was undeniable, and very few in the entire Necropolis could defeat her.
However, her flaws were equally evident. Satiya was not one to think much, and due to her skill, 'Blood Frenzy', she often found herself in a state of frenzy.
If Satiya were still the NPC she used to be, these flaws wouldn't be considered flaws at all, given the inherently low intelligence of NPCs.
But now, due to the crossing over, the NPCs of Necropolis had become living, breathing lifeforms. Satiya's personality, in this context, became somewhat of a headache.
"Ah, even the stern demeanor of Lord Yecheng is so charming. I'm being scolded, but my state of mind is getting a little out of hand."
While Yecheng was earnestly reprimanding Satiya, the latter's face turned crimson, and her body began to tremble involuntarily, even uttering a rather embarrassing line.
Since Satiya was a manifestation of Perorokino's H-Game preferences, she embodied a combination of bisexuality, sadism, masochism, necrophilia, and other unusual sexual fetishes. Yecheng was aware of this.
However, according to Yecheng's knowledge, Satiya's obsession with skeletons should have been directed towards Squirrel's skeletal frame, right? But why, when Yecheng looked at Satiya now, did he feel that her gaze towards him was even more intense than the love she showed Squirrel in the original storyline?
Yecheng had no idea that, as a token of gratitude for resource sharing, Perorokino had added the setting of 'Obsessive Adoration for Yecheng' to the vampire girl he created.
And the original settings for the NPCs, after crossing over into this world, had become ingrained in their souls as inherent traits and preferences.
The original Satiya liked Squirrel simply because of her preference for skeletons and his strength.
But the setting Perorokino added to Satiya was something that transcended mere preference; it could even be considered part of her personality.
To be honest, if not for Yecheng's status as the Supreme Sovereign, Satiya, with her body heating up, might have already pounced on Yecheng and executed him on the spot! After all, she was 'Madly Obsessed with Lord Yecheng', and the love of a hikikomori was vastly different from ordinary affection. The term 'hikikomori' implied a heightened level of madness and disregard for consequences!
"Satiya, calm down, calm down. Our top priority right now is gathering information.
So, you stay here and calm yourself, while I try to blend in with them to gather intelligence. If anything happens, you can respond accordingly."
Looking at the vampire girl's increasingly distressed state, Yecheng was genuinely close to wetting himself. He knew Satiya was a bit eccentric, but he hadn't expected her to be this crazy!
