Chapter 511: We Will Be Your Most Loyal Servants!
Chapter 511: We Will Be Your Most Loyal Servants!
"Reducto! (Sectumsempra)"
"Colloportus! (Seal it!)"
Several spells shot over, blocking all of Ivan's possible escape routes.
Ivan had never intended to dodge, nor did he plan to use the Magic Ring. His body began to transform rapidly before the beams reached him.
A large amount of black mist continuously poured out of his body, drawing the surrounding light towards it.
In the next second, before the spells struck, a pale, decaying arm suddenly emerged from the black mist, blocking the incoming beams. The magical light had no effect on the bony arm.
As the black mist spread in all directions, a tall, cloaked, and eerie figure appeared before them.
"Dementor?!" The Gray-robed Enforcer's eyes widened in shock. He wondered if he was still dreaming, as a young witch or wizard had just transformed into a Dementor right before his eyes.
Ivan ignored them, focusing on adapting to his new form. As he had expected, transforming into a Dementor made his body immune to most spells.
He had long planned to use Boggart transformation in combat but never had the opportunity. Now, with these Dark Wizards almost defeated and Dobby as a backup, it was the perfect time to test his ideas.
The two Dark Wizards behind the Aurors completely broke down. They could feel that this was no illusion; just looking at the figure drained their courage and joy, leaving them with nothing but endless painful memories.
"What kind of monster is this?" one of them screamed, taking a few steps back and falling to the ground. He then crawled away in the opposite direction.
The other Dark Wizard, losing his senses, brandished his wand and shrieked, "Avada Kedavra! (Avada Kedavra)"
A green beam shot towards Ivan.
Ivan easily dodged, his lightweight body being much more agile than usual.
Although he knew that the Killing Curse had no effect on Dementors, he was not a real Dementor and did not intend to risk his life to test it.
After a brief adaptation to his new body, Ivan spread the large cloak of his grotesque form and shot forward like an arrow, quickly approaching the two remaining figures.
"Expecto Patronum! (Expecto Patronum)" The Gray-robed Enforcer did not lose his mind like his subordinates. He swung his wand with the remaining courage, summoning the Leopard Patronus that had been defeated by the Unicorn Shadow to shield himself.
The black mist spread throughout the alley, and as the grotesque figure approached, it began to swell and transform.
A withered, scabbed arm, revealing stark white bones, extended from the mist. In less than a second, it grew to the thickness of a waist, piercing through the ethereal Patronus and effortlessly shattering the Protego spell protecting the Gray-robed Enforcer. It then slammed him into the wall behind them with great force.
The loud impact echoed through the narrow alley, and the brick wall collapsed in moments.
The poor Gray-robed Enforcer, like a rag doll, was held in Ivan's large hand. Several of his ribs were broken, and a steady stream of crimson blood flowed from his mouth, dripping onto Ivan's fingers.
Ivan released his grip with disdain, and the Auror he had been holding slipped from his hand and fell to the ground, silent.
Dead? I only used a little force.
Ivan was somewhat surprised. This was the first time he had used the Boggart transformation in a real combat situation. During close combat, he transformed from a Dementor into a Giant, wanting to test the close-combat capabilities of this form, but he unintentionally killed the Auror.
Ivan shook his head. The other party was, after all, a commander, and he had intended to keep him for interrogation.
The narrow alley suddenly became eerily quiet, even the cries of pain ceased. The few Dark Wizards lying on the ground, struggling, stared blankly at the scene, momentarily forgetting their pain.
The sole standing Dark Wizard looked up at the massive Giant in front of him, who was at least six or seven meters tall. His body trembled, the crazed look had vanished, replaced by fear and despair that gradually crept up his mind, and he was so startled that he didn't even notice his wand slipping from his hand and falling to the ground.
Clang
The slight sound of the wand hitting the ground was clearly audible in the quiet alley, catching Ivan's attention.
He turned his head and stared at the other party with his eyes, as large as an adult's fist. Just as he was considering how to handle the situation, the Dark Wizard abruptly fell to his knees.
This was entirely unexpected by Ivan, but the discarded wand and the trembling body as he knelt down made it clear to Ivan how deeply terrified the other party was.
Realizing he no longer needed to waste Magic, Ivan canceled the Boggart Transformation. His massive body rapidly shrank, and the Magic that had filled his entire body gradually returned to its original state.
Ivan sensed that the brief transformation had consumed a third of his Magic. Combined with the previous Unicorn Shadow and the two powerful spells, only half of his Magic remained.
Ivan's behavior to conserve Magic was misinterpreted by the Dark Wizard as a signal. He suddenly remembered something and, both terrified and eager, quickly crawled to Ivan's feet, trembling as he kissed the hem of his Wizard Robes.
"Sir! Please forgive my ignorance. It was the Despicable Nott Family who used their honeyed words to deceive us, and they gathered some stubborn resistors who foolishly tried to oppose your rule!"
The Dark Wizard spoke carefully, his head bowed low, not daring to look at Ivan's face. His tongue trembled, and his words were stammered.
The other surviving Dark Wizards, too, dragged their injuries to Ivan's feet, mimicking the act of kissing the hem of his robes, and cried out, denouncing the Nott Family's ignorance and cruelty. They professed their newfound loyalty to Ivan, offering everything to gain his forgiveness!
Although Ivan had returned to his form as a thirteen- or fourteen-year-old young witches and wizards, the youthful face appeared even more terrifying to these people than the visage of a Giant or a Dementor!
Ivan's displayed strength was too overwhelming. They could not fathom how a child of ten or so could possess such terrifying combat power, and his effortless Transformation ability had shattered their understanding!
Imagination and speculation often lead to a quicker breakdown than reality.
After all, the unknown is the greatest fear!
