Chapter 511: Sealing Again (Third Update)
Chapter 511: Sealing Again (Third Update)
A dramatic scene unfolded as the terrifying black energy column, which had been emitted by Daleorla, passed through the portal in front of Jerry and then burst out from the top of Daleorla's head.
It then slammed directly back into Daleorla's own head.
Beating oneself, huh? How about that?
Spatial and Time have always been the two most important types of Magic for Jerry. He even believed these had more power than the elemental Magics of earth, fire, wind, and water, which form the basic elements of the world.
Even a simple portal, which seems to be just a convenient tool for travel, can have terrifying effects when used skillfully.
This was especially true against magicians who had no expertise in spatial magic, or against demons like Daleorla, who had a powerful body but a less intelligent mind.
The black energy column dissipated, leaving behind a massive crater on the island, almost completely penetrated.
Inside the crater lay Daleorla, who had been hit perfectly by his own Demonic Roar and was now on the brink of death.
If it had been the regular version of the Demonic Roar, Daleorla's body would not have been so badly affected.
However, after being pierced through the heart by Erza and falling from a height of several thousand meters, the fact that this was the most powerful version of the Demonic Roar, with all of Daleorla's magic power poured into it, led to the current dire state.
Thankfully, being a demon, Daleorla had some resistance to demonic energy; otherwise, the Roar would have purified him on the spot.
"U-You can actually do that!!!"
Everyone was shocked by Jerry's unexpected maneuver.
Jerry had truly taken spatial magic to a whole new level.
They had all fought hard, draining their magic power, only to inflict minor injuries on Daleorla.
But Jerry, using his portal magic, which was typically used to save effort and travel, had effortlessly brought Daleorla to the brink of death with minimal magic power expenditure. It was utterly speechless.
"Seal!"
Seeing Daleorla reduced to a half-dead state as expected, Jerry took out a rice cooker from his spatial ring. A Phantom Shift appeared above it, and he used the Seal magic to easily seal Daleorla.
A powerful Disaster Demon, acquired!
"Jerry, didn't you say that the Wind Magic Cooker was your family heirloom? How come?"
Lucy, watching Jerry appear with the rice cooker, shifted from shock to confusion.
Jerry smiled.
"Oh, I've mastered the technique to create these Arcane Devices. This is a new one I just made!"
"Um, it hasn't been that long since you last showed us that family heirloom. That's pretty fast!"
Lucy muttered to herself.
Compared to Lucy's usual teasing, Ultear, hidden in the shadows, was truly gritting her teeth.
When she saw Jerry take out the Wind Magic Cooker again, she realized she had definitely been tricked.
The so-called precious family heirloom and the reluctant expression were all fake. The Wind Magic Cooker was clearly something Jerry had multiple copies of, and he had switched it out that day.
Moreover, she noticed that Jerry seemed to be collecting the demons created by Zeref, just like their Demon Heart guild.
It was too much of a coincidence that he had sealed a Cursed Demon last time and a Disaster Demon this time.
"Looks like I need to report this to the Master after seeing Gerald. This mysterious magician named Jerry will definitely affect our grand plan in the future."
"Still, it's finally over!"
Despite the complaints, Lucy let out a huge sigh of relief when the terrifying Daleorla was finally sealed by Jerry. She plopped down on the ground, utterly exhausted.
The others also heaved heavy sighs of relief.
The battle with Daleorla had been incredibly stressful, both for those who fought and those who watched from nearby, like Lucy and the others.
However, once they regained their composure, they discovered a new issue.
The Fairy Tail guild's age-old problem persisted: even though they had won the battle, the damage to the area was severe. The temple was almost completely destroyed, large craters dotted the landscape, trees had turned to dust, and half of the small island was on the verge of breaking off.
"Jerry!"
Everyone turned their gaze toward Jerry once again.
There was nothing they could do in this situation. Only Jerry’s time magic could fix it.
"You all go back to the village and rest. The work ahead is extensive, and I need some time!"
Jerry didn’t hesitate. Compared to the others, who were exhausted, he had barely used any energy, just a few Phantom Shifts and portals.
Hearing this, the group helped each other up and made their way to the village on the edge of the island.
Jerry could use spatial magic to teleport back to the village once he was done, possibly even arriving before them, so they didn’t need to wait for him.
After everyone had left, Jerry flew into the air and cast a Reparo spell, restoring the damaged areas of the island, including the temple, to their original state.
However, after using Reparo, he didn’t immediately Phantom Shift back to the village. Instead, his figure flashed, and he appeared on the trunk of a tree in the forest behind him.
"Ah, isn’t that Lady Ultear? What a delightful interest in sightseeing. Are you here on vacation?"
Ultear, hiding behind the tree, was watching her mother, Ul, who was supporting two apprentices as they left with the others. The sudden voice behind her almost made her fall off the tree trunk.
Turning around, she saw that Jerry, who had just used spatial magic to leave the air, hadn’t returned to the village but had instead appeared on a nearby tree trunk behind her.
"Ahem, I received intelligence that a powerful demon capable of threatening the kingdom's safety might appear on this island, so I came to investigate. You did a great job sealing the demon, Fairy Tail!"
Ultear’s mind raced as she quickly fabricated a plausible excuse.
Her opponent was proficient in spatial magic. Unless she set a specific trap, even with her abilities, she couldn’t eliminate him.
As a member of the Council, her position was still very useful, so she couldn’t afford to be reckless. She had to find a way to deal with this.
"Oh~~, I see!"
Jerry’s lips curved into a meaningful smile.
Ultear, clearly not wanting to dwell on the issue, tried to leave after her explanation:
"Since the matter is resolved, I’ll be on my way."
"Hold on, Lady Ultear. I have one more favor to ask of you."
But at that moment, Jerry used a Phantom Shift to block her path.
