Chapter 51: Uchiha Itachi, Let Me Count Your Future Evils
(Extra Chapter – Requesting Your Continued Support)
Just as Izumi stood there, her face frozen in shock and utterly lost, she suddenly heard the voice of Iizumi Senior.
But the words weren’t directed at her—no, they were meant for Itachi.
"I saw one of the greatest 'evils' in the Ninja World within you. I’ve seen it before. And now, I still see it. No matter how much turmoil my butterfly wings stir in Leaf Village, the evil within you… it hasn’t changed at all."
Uchiha Iizumi spoke with a calmness even colder than Uchiha Itachi’s own.
He stood motionless, his gaze fixed on the glowing prompt hovering above Itachi’s head.
His eyes—unblinking, piercing—could clearly see the countless words inscribed there.
A chaotic, overwhelming cascade of white characters, each as tiny as a mosquito, packed tightly together. Each one a chilling premonition.
This…
This was the ultimate evil Uchiha Itachi would commit one year from now—the Night of the Massacre.
Victims included the elderly, women, children, infants. Men and women, shinobi and civilians—no one was spared.
Every single life extinguished in one night.
Uchiha Itachi’s brow twitched faintly.
Evil? What was Iizumi talking about? He didn’t understand. Deep down, he believed himself untouched by evil.
At that moment, Izumi—still dazed and stepping into the room—suddenly remembered something.
Her pupils contracted.
"Senior… Your eyes… You saw the 'evil' on Itachi-kun?!"
Eyes?!
Fugaku Clan Head and Uchiha Itachi instantly locked onto the most crucial word.
They realized—this wasn’t just metaphorical.
Iizumi hadn’t meant it figuratively.
He’d literally seen the evil.
Izumi knew something they didn’t.
Something hidden.
Something likely tied to the Sharingan.
"Yes, I saw it," Iizumi said.
"The evil within you constantly stirs the killing intent in my heart. But reason tells me—this evil isn’t from the past, nor is it happening now."
Itachi’s eyes flickered.
Fugaku’s mind raced.
"Iizumi… What did you see in Itachi?" Fugaku locked eyes with him, trying desperately to mask his rising agitation, though his voice still trembled with urgency.
"Your eyes… Can you see things we cannot? Is this a power unique to you? Have you awakened that legendary ability?"
Uchiha Iizumi rose from his seat, stepped forward, and stopped just one meter away from Uchiha Itachi.
An eighteen-year-old. A twelve-year-old.
A gap of decades in height.
Itachi’s foot instinctively slid back an inch.
Chakra began gathering in his eyes—without thought, without command.
The distance was too close.
If Iizumi attacked, even with perfect reaction time, his body wouldn’t be fast enough to evade.
Yet…
Iizumi did nothing more than calmly recite what he had seen—adding only a brief preface:
"Uchiha Itachi… Let me count your future 'evils'."
Something about the tone made Itachi’s chest tighten.
It felt like every secret inside him had been stripped bare.
"Next year. One night. Uchiha Hazuki dies—slit through the heart by a kunai. Perpetrator—Uchiha Itachi."
The room fell silent.
Itachi. Fugaku. Izumi.
All three froze.
"Uchiha Hazuki… wasn’t she…?"
Especially Izumi—her breath caught mid-sigh. Her eyes locked onto Itachi like a trapped animal.
"That’s… my mother…"
"Next year?" Fugaku’s voice was hoarse.
"Iizumi… You’re… seeing the future?"
If this was linked to Iizumi’s eyes, then it could only be the power of the Mangekyō Sharingan.
Fugaku suddenly recalled fragments—pieces that now fit together.
Now he understood why Iizumi always seemed to know when someone had committed a crime.
Now he understood why his conviction rate had been 100%—never once a false accusation.
This wasn’t just a Sharingan.
This was something terrifying. Something legendary.
A true Mangekyō ability.
Itachi stood frozen.
"My… future evil?"
Iizumi ignored their shock. He continued, voice soft as a whisper from beyond death.
"Same year. Same night. Uchiha Kakusi dies—decapitated by a katana. Perpetrator—Uchiha Itachi."
Fugaku’s eyes widened in horror.
Uchiha Kakusi…
His childhood friend. Now running a ramen shop with Uchiha Compound.
"Same year. Same night. Uchiha Izumi dies—killed in a Sharingan genjutsu. Perpetrator—Uchiha Itachi."
The air shattered.
Fugaku’s gaze snapped to Izumi—now trembling, pale, staring at Itachi like she’d seen a ghost.
Itachi instinctively turned to look at her.
"Iizumi…?" Fugaku’s voice cracked.
So many questions. So much dread.
But before he could speak, Iizumi’s next words silenced him completely.
"Same year. Same night. Uchiha Mikoto dies—found dead in the family hall."
Fugaku’s fist clenched so hard his knuckles cracked.
His pupils trembled. His breath faltered.
Even Itachi—lost in shock—snapped his head up.
"Perpetrator…"
"Uchiha Itachi."
"Same year… Same night…"
One by one, names poured from Iizumi’s lips—each unique, each devastating.
Their deaths were all the same.
Sliced through the chest.
Beheaded.
Throat slit.
Pierced by shuriken or kunai from afar.
All the fastest, most efficient ways to kill—Itachi’s specialty.
All victims bore the Uchiha name.
Many were people Fugaku recognized.
And most…
They weren’t even awakened.
Not even shinobi.
Just ordinary Uchiha civilians.
And yet—
Every single one—
All of them—
Died at the hands of Uchiha Itachi.
Fugaku had lost count.
Until he heard his own name.
His body went numb.
"This… is the evil I see in you, Uchiha Itachi.
This… is the future.
It will happen one year from now.
On that night.
The Night of the Massacre.
After this… the Uchiha clan will cease to exist."
Uchiha Iizumi’s hand—silent, sudden—closed around Itachi’s throat.
He moved slowly.
Even a civilian could have dodged.
But Itachi didn’t move.
"Still… want to know why I wanted to kill you years ago?"
…
…
