True to its name, the city-destroying calamity demon was not only terrifyingly resilient in defense but also possessed extraordinary strength. Its speed and reaction time far surpassed those of the cursed demons Jerry had previously bound.
After a series of intense clashes, the entire temple was reduced to ruins, and even the ground of the island began to crack from the powerful destruction.

The main reason they could maintain this balance was Uru's powerful Ice-Make Magic, which restricted Daleolar's movements and prevented many of its powerful attacks from landing.
Otherwise, the battle would have ended long ago.
However, this precarious balance was extremely dangerous because Daleolar had been using only physical attacks and had not yet employed its demonic Magic, thus expending almost no magic power.
In contrast, Uru and the others had been continuously casting Magic attacks, depleting their magic power at a rapid rate.
"This can't go on. We need to land a fatal blow that will deal enough damage to kill it completely!"
Uru watched as her Ice-Make: Infinite Blade sliced through Daleolar's defenses, leaving numerous wounds. However, within a few breaths, Daleolar had completely healed.
She realized that Daleolar's defense was not the only issue; its regenerative abilities were also astonishing. The damage they inflicted was almost instantly restored.
"I need time!"
Erza, flying in the air to dodge Daleolar's attacks, shouted back.
Clearly, Erza was confident she could deliver the fatal blow, but she needed Uru and the others to buy her some time to restrain Daleolar.
"Got it, leave it to us!"
Uru and her two apprentices exchanged glances and prepared to use their Ice-Make Magic in a desperate attempt.
"Ice-Make: Rose Garden!"
Uru was the fastest to act, casting her most powerful and most draining Magic after Absolute Ice.
Numerous thorny roses and thorns instantly enveloped Daleolar, not only restricting its movements but also embedding the ice spikes deeply into its body.
However, the ice roses and thorns held for only three seconds before Daleolar, covered in blood, shattered them with sheer force.
"Ice-Make: Giant Ape!"
Following Uru, Leo cast his Magic.
A giant ice ape, nearly as large as Daleolar, appeared behind the demon and wrapped its arms around its waist.
Unfortunately, despite the similar size, the strength difference was vast. The ice giant lasted less than a second before Daleolar broke its arms and shattered it with a single punch.
"Ice-Make: Prison!"
As the ice giant broke apart, Gray's Magic was already in motion. A large rectangular ice prison rose from the ground beneath Daleolar, locking it in place.
"Roar!"
The successive ice restraints only served to fuel Daleolar's rage.
With a loud roar that echoed through the sky, Daleolar grabbed the sides of the ice prison with both hands and tore it apart with sheer force. The massive, solid ice prison was violently ripped into two halves.
Fortunately, the ice prison had managed to delay Daleolar for a second.
Uru's Rose Garden delayed Daleolar for three seconds, Leo's Ice-Make Giant Ape for one second, and Gray's Ice-Make Prison for another second, totaling five seconds.
What did Erza and Natsu do in those five seconds?
Let's rewind to five seconds ago.
When Uru used the Rose Garden to restrain Daleolar, Erza quickly pulled Natsu, who was still trying to attack, and rapidly retreated. She then instantly switched to the Black Feather Armor, which allowed her to fly.
"Armor change, Giant Armor!"
The bright yellow armor, which maximized strength and possessed the Anti-Demon Spear, appeared on Erza's body.
"Natsu, I need all your firepower support!"
Turning to Natsu, who was still a bit dazed, Erza shouted. She then positioned herself as if throwing a javelin, raising the Anti-Demon Spear over her shoulder and channeling all her remaining magic power into it.
"Got it, leave it to me!"
Natsu immediately understood and gathered all his magic power into his right fist, using Dragon Flame as propulsion. He then punched the rear of the Anti-Demon Spear.
"Boom!"
The powerful dragon fire instantly enveloped the entire Anti-Demon Spear, and at the same moment, Erza used all her strength to hurl the spear towards Daleolar.
The five seconds were up. As Daleolar turned around, still not fully comprehending the situation, the Anti-Demon Spear, powered by Erza and Natsu's combined magic power, struck true, aiming directly for its heart.
"Shriek!"
Black demon blood splattered everywhere. The Anti-Demon Spear, bolstered by the full magic power of Erza and Natsu, finally pierced through Daleolar's heart, leaving a terrifying hole in its chest.
"We did it!"
Lucy and the others, who had been moved to the periphery by Jerry, jumped up in joy at the sight of Daleolar being impaled through the heart.
However, Jerry, floating high in the sky, shook his head.
"Such a tenacious life force!"
He could clearly sense that, while Daleolar's aura had diminished significantly, it was far from dead.
Sure enough, the city-destroying calamity demon Daleolar, with a gaping wound in its chest, did not collapse as everyone expected. Instead, it knelt on one knee and touched the writhing hole in its chest.
"I didn't expect you to be able to wound me this badly, but a demon's vital point is not in the heart!"
With that, Daleolar raised its head and opened its mouth, then roared at Erza and Natsu, who had exhausted their magic power:
"Die!"
A terrifying magic power surge erupted from Daleolar, and countless magic particles converged in its massive mouth.
It had been thoroughly enraged and was about to use an extremely destructive demon magic.
"Be careful, Ice-Make, Shield!"
Uru, seeing Daleolar's stance, immediately tensed and used the last of her magic power to create a massive ice shield in front of Erza and Natsu.
