Chapter 501: Heading to Demon Island (First Update)
Chapter 501: Heading to Demon Island (First Update)
"Poor Laxus, I'm sorry!"
Jerry silently apologized to himself.
It turned out that he had been feeling like he had forgotten something. He had forgotten to bring Laxus down. Laxus was still floating high above the guild, continuously falling from ten thousand meters.
There was no way around it. He had only intended to give Laxus a small punishment, letting him fall for an hour or so. However, he had become so engrossed in learning Magic that he completely forgot about it.
If it weren't for Erza's reminder, he might not have remembered for days.
"That's good. We're all guildmates, so we should get along well!"
Erza patted Jerry on the shoulder, nodded in satisfaction, and then turned to head home.
Seeing Erza's figure disappear, Jerry quickly used Phantom Shift to return to the guild, opened the Teleportation Portal, and brought Laxus, who had been falling for hours, back to the second floor.
However, when he used Phantom Shift to leave again, he vaguely saw Happy carrying something in his mouth, darting out of the guild's window.
"Jerry, I... I'm going to kill you!"
After falling for hours, Laxus finally touched the ground, and his anger had reached a boiling point. His body emitted an extremely terrifying lightning aura.
At the same time, Jerry, who had teleported back to his house, saw the terrifying lightning from the direction of the guild. After a moment of thought, he began a series of modifications to his villa.
There was no way around it. Although Laxus had been at fault initially, it was just some harsh words. Hanging someone in the air at ten thousand meters for hours was indeed a bit too much.
So, if Laxus came to seek revenge, it would be quite a dilemma for him. He couldn't just kill Laxus outright.
It was better to hide for a while and wait for Laxus to cool down before addressing the issue.
Ten minutes later.
Laxus, having found Jerry's address from the guild records, appeared in front of 25 Cyvila Street, his body crackling with furious lightning, determined to avenge himself.
However, what he saw before him was not the house Jerry had bought, but a square patch of empty land.
A large sign was planted in the empty land, with a series of prominent words carved on it:
"To ensure a quieter environment for studying and researching Magic, I have moved my house. If any guildmates need to find me, please leave a note in the box below. Thank you!"
Next to the large sign was a metal box that resembled a mailbox.
"Jerry!!!"
After reading the message on the sign, Laxus felt his lungs about to burst with anger. After a furious roar, he could only leave in frustration.
Meanwhile, in the ten-thousand-meter-high sky above Magnolia, Jerry, holding a high-powered telescope, watched Laxus leave from his window and let out a sigh of relief:
"At least I was quick enough!"
Just now, he had used an Activation Spell to animate his house and carved a Floating Spell Rune on it, allowing the house to remain hidden at ten thousand meters.
Since he could fly and teleport, it didn't matter where his house was, as long as Laxus couldn't find it, he wouldn't be bothered.
With his ability to use Phantom Shift, if he truly wanted to hide, Laxus would never find him.
Once Laxus calmed down after some time, the matter would be over.
Two days later, at night, in a house floating ten thousand meters above Magnolia City.
Jerry was practicing summoning various Magic weapons from within his body, rapidly switching between them.
The twelve sets of armor he had commissioned from the Majick Device Store at great expense were still being made, and it would likely take some time before they were completed.
So, over the past two days, he had been using the Magic weapons he had bought to practice Transformation Magic.
"Master, Miss Erza is here!"
Just as he was enjoying his swordplay, a gentle female voice suddenly echoed in the room.
It was the intelligent housekeeper he had created two days ago using an Activation Spell.
Fortunately, unlike the rough and rugged warrior from the Divine Realm, this time it was a gentle and soft-spoken young lady.
She inherited some memories from certain maid anime he had watched in his previous life.
"It's so late, what does Erza want?"
With a hint of curiosity, Jerry walked up to the door and opened it.
Because of Transformation Magic, Erza was the only person in the guild, besides the Master and Mirajane, who knew his house was floating ten thousand meters above the ground.
"Jerry, the Master needs you!"
Erza, wearing a sexy Black Feather Armor with her hair in a high ponytail, flapped her black wings and stopped outside the door, her face serious.
"Come in and talk."
Jerry stepped aside, curious.
"Is Laxus still causing trouble at the guild? If the Master can't handle it, have him come to me, and I'll have a good chat with him."
Feeling truly frustrated, Laxus had been causing a commotion in the guild with his Thunder God Tribe over the past two days, demanding to know where Jerry was currently living.
So he was considering that if this guy didn't settle down, he would have to find a time to show him the gap in their strength.
Lightning was also one of the Magics he was particularly skilled at.
"That's not the issue. When I returned to the guild today, Laxus was severely scolded by the Master and then sent on an S-Class Mission with his Thunder God Tribe. They shouldn't be bothering you for a while."
Erza explained.
Jerry nodded.
"That's good. If it's not Laxus, did another guild member cause some damage and need me to fix it?"
The Master usually called him for such matters.
Erza shook her head again and directly stated the real reason for her visit:
"Two days ago, Natsu, Lucy, and Happy violated guild rules by sneaking an S-Class mission request from the second floor and taking on the S-Class mission.
The Master sent Gray to bring them back, but there's been no word from him yet.
For safety, the Master wants you and me to go to the mission location and bring them all back to the guild for punishment."
S-Class missions were extremely dangerous, and Makarov was worried that if they were delayed, the lives of the three might be at risk. So, for safety, he had urgently sent Erza, who had S-Class strength, and Jerry, who could open a Teleportation Portal to instantly reach the destination, to bring them back.
"Sounds like Natsu's style. No problem, where is the mission location?"
Jerry wasn't concerned about this sudden emergency mission. After all, for him, it was just a matter of opening a couple of Teleportation Portals, which wouldn't take more than a few minutes.
Erza took out a map and pointed to an isolated island off the coast of Hargeon Port.
"The mission location is here, the Cursed Demon Island—Garnet Island!"
