Chapter 50: Wizard Outfit, You Deserve It!
Chapter 50: Wizard Outfit, You Deserve It!
At S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters,
Director Nick Fury stood by the window, patiently listening to his capable assistant, Agent Maria Hill, give her report.
"So, General Ross's capture team was completely defeated by Dr. Banner, who transformed into the Hulk, at Culver University in Virginia!"
"Yes, Dr. Banner has already taken General Ross's daughter, Dr. Betty, and fled from Culver University. They’ve disappeared without a trace!"
Hill nodded.
"Have we found out where they might be heading next?"
Nick Fury turned around and asked.
Hill handed the report in her hand to Fury:
"Based on the email communication records of Dr. Banner, which our logistics department's technicians retrieved from the system, he has been in contact with someone called Mr. Blue. It seems he is trying to find a way to restore his body to normal.
Therefore, we believe he will likely take Dr. Betty to find Mr. Blue!"
"Mr. Blue? From the Biological Cells Department at New York Grayborn College, Dr. Samuel Sterns. So, they’re heading to New York?"
Nick Fury frowned as he looked at the information about Mr. Blue in the file he held.
"Yes, General Ross has already received the intelligence from us and has taken his team to ambush around Grayborn College, hoping to capture Dr. Banner and take him back for study. What about us?"
Hill's face showed a questioning look.
Nick Fury thought for a moment and then replied:
"General Ross is part of the military, so we can't interfere too much with his actions. However, given the current situation, their chances of success are slim.
You should go to New York yourself. If Dr. Banner escapes this capture, try to track his location without alarming him!"
"Yes, Director!"
Hill nodded and prepared to leave.
Just then, Nick Fury seemed to remember something and called out to Hill.
"During your trip to New York, take some time to meet this young man and gather information about him. Find out his true identity!"
Hill took the file Nick Fury handed her, which contained photos of Jerry wearing a wizard outfit, riding a flying broom into a fire, and other records of his recent heroic deeds.
After Hill left, a female agent wearing a black combat suit, with red-brown curly hair and an athletic build, entered the room.
"Natasha, how is your situation?"
Fury asked, unsurprased by the visitor.
The visitor was none other than Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff, a versatile S.H.I.E.L.D. agent skilled in disguise, infiltration, hacking, and combat.
"I have successfully infiltrated Stark Industries and am currently working as Tony Stark's secretary. However, from my observations, Tony's physical condition seems to be deteriorating, and his mental state is also unstable."
Black Widow provided a detailed summary of her mission progress and the intelligence she had gathered.
"Palladium poisoning, I see. Continue to monitor Tony Stark's physical and mental health, and report any issues to me immediately!"
Fury's expression remained unchanged as he listened to Black Widow's report.
A week later, in Queens, New York.
"What do you think about the wizard who recently appeared?"
"Wizard? I watched the live stream where he saved people from the fire. Whether he can actually do magic or not, I really like him. I think he's a hero, yes, that's exactly what I think!"
"I don't think he's a kid at all. He might be a dwarf, or a short old man, or maybe he's under a curse that made him shrink. You know, wizards in stories are always like that!"
"I think he's just a kid, maybe he goes to a school that teaches magic. In fact, I've always believed in magic, and I even set up a website for it.
Wizard, if you can see this report, please visit my website. Our Url is xxxx."
"Oh, what wizard? He's just a freak, a clown with some tricks. I don't believe in magic; we should believe in science!"
"You mean that elegant wizard who saved my life. I like him, or rather, I love him. He's a kid? No problem, I can accept a relationship with a younger man!
By the way, Mr. Little Wizard, I'm very rich and can support you. Give me a call when you have time, my number is xxxx."
"Alright, that's all for today's street interviews. It seems that most of our citizens still have a lot of love for the wizard who saved over twenty citizens from the fire. I'm your favorite Lucy, see you tomorrow!"
Sitting on the couch, Jerry watched the news report about himself and felt quite satisfied.
While some people in the interviews expressed dislike and distrust, the majority still approved of him, especially those he had saved.
No one can be liked by everyone, and Jerry was well aware of this.
His goal wasn't to make everyone in the city love him; he just needed the majority to approve of him and maintain a positive image.
After all, he had saved those people to earn Little Red Stars.
"Jerry, why does the broom the wizard rides seem so familiar?"
At that moment, Elsa's words made Jerry's heart tighten.
He had forgotten that when he returned two weeks ago, he was holding a flying broom that Elsa had seen. At the time, he explained that he bought it to sweep the house.
While a flying broom looks similar to a regular broom, wizards have made many improvements over the years, so there are some visible differences.
With the wizard using magic becoming a sensation on various TV shows, Elsa, who was heavily obsessed with magic, wouldn't let this opportunity pass.
Now, her top idol was the wizard Jerry was portraying.
"Cough, I think, as the Ice Queen, you need a new magic robe, just like the wizard's, and a broom just like his. I saw Annie and Susan buying the same ones the other day!"
"What? Annie and Susan bought new gear without telling me? Humph, how dare they!"
When Elsa heard that Annie and Susan had bought the same wizard gear, she immediately forgot about the flying broom.
"Exactly, I bet they lost to you in the last battle and are trying to secretly buy stronger gear!"
Jerry quickly nodded and continued:
"How about this? Since we have nothing to do now, I'll take you to Lina's Magical Boutique to buy a better set than theirs!"
"Really? Jerry, you're the best! A thousand times, ten thousand times better than Dad!"
Elsa, thrilled at the prospect of Jerry taking her to buy the wizard's gear, jumped up on the couch, instantly forgetting about the flying broom.
