Chapter 491: The Humorous Hijacking (Part 2)
As expected, Lyon didn't obtain any information about the location of the Corlock Royal Palace, and he couldn't help but smirk in resignation.
Thinking he would gain something but ending up empty-handed, Lyon didn't bother explaining to the hijacker. The Corlock Kingdom's royal palace was, in fact, mobile. He merely straightened his wrinkled clothes and sat back down in his seat.
The female reporter, who had been listening in on the entire conversation, struggled to hold back her laughter, her cheeks turning crimson. She leaned closer, biting her lip, and whispered with a hint of amusement:
"Why are you talking so much to him? Why not just knock him out?"
"I do have the ability to knock him out, but if my first reaction to encountering a situation is to rely on force instead of thinking first, I might become..." Lyon paused briefly, glancing at the female reporter before continuing without changing his expression, "I might become a brainless brute. So, I prefer to solve problems using wisdom as much as possible."
"..."
Damn it! You can say whatever you want, but why do you suddenly pause halfway through your sentence and then glance at me?
"Oh, right."
As the female reporter glared at him, slightly annoyed, Lyon turned his head slightly and looked at the stunned male hijacker sitting next to him. He asked:
"I remember at the beginning, you said that 'we' took over this airship. So, you must have an accomplice, right? Where is your partner?"
My accomplice...
Upon hearing Lyon's words, the male hijacker's expression froze for a moment, and he quickly shook his head, denying it, "You must have misremembered. I don't have any accomplices!"
Alright, not only does he have an accomplice, but his partner is also hiding among the passengers and hasn't revealed themselves yet.
Lyon nodded at the hijacker's words but didn't pursue the matter further. Instead, he touched the ram horn that was protruding from his sleeve cuff and quickly scanned the souls within the airship.
As expected, after Lyon's few words defused the hijacking crisis, most people didn't dare to speak up, but their souls were secretly rejoicing. Among them, one soul stood out with its anger and impatience, as noticeable as a xenon headlight on a truck.
"Is your accomplice the person sitting three rows behind us?" Lyon turned around and looked at a young girl in the seat. With a smile, he asked, "And it seems that you are the 'mastermind' behind this? Your brother here is just the muscle. Considering how he's protecting you and the resemblance between you two... Are you siblings?"
"..."
This person... How terrifying. Lyon's gentle smile hid a sinister shadow, causing an unsettling chill in the hearts of those who locked eyes with him. The girl in the seat didn't respond but stood up, pulling out another homemade nail gun. She aimed it at Lyon, her teeth clenched as she said:
"You must be someone important, right? If you don't want a hole in your head, order your people to take control of the control room immediately and help us hijack this airship!"
"But this airship is self-driving..."
"Stop lying!" The slender young girl interrupted, her voice equally thin, "If it's just weather recording, why would they need seven or eight people in the control room? Even if this airship is self-driving, there must be a way to adjust its course from the control room!"
Hmm, she figured it out. This girl seems a bit smarter than her brother.
"?!?!"
Upon hearing the young girl's words, the male hijacker jumped to his feet, his eyes filled with a mix of shock and anger as he glared at Lyon.
"You lied to me?"
"I didn't lie, I just didn't tell you everything. Besides..." Lyon replied, then turned to the petite female hijacker, who seemed younger than Anna. He raised an eyebrow and said, "You seem smarter than your brother. So, you should know that the location of the Corlock Royal Palace is not fixed, right?"
"Mind your own business! I'm asking you to get someone to the control room and hand over control of this airship, or I'll kill you!" The female hijacker gritted her teeth, her eyes darting fearfully at Lyon.
"But even if I listen to you, won't I still die?" Lyon countered.
"You two are planning a suicide attack with this airship. As a passenger stuck up here, I'll eventually die anyway, right?"
"You won't die if you just cooperate!"
Seeing that Lyon was still uncooperative, the female hijacker angrily flicked off the safety of the nail gun, her lips pressed tightly together. "We've checked, and there are twelve sets of lifeboats with airbags below the rear cabin. That's enough for everyone on board to evacuate. If you just cooperate with us, not a single person on this airship will die!"
Hmm, that was actually true...
Lyon stroked his chin thoughtfully after glancing at the female hijacker's soul.
"So, when your brother was masked, you didn't stop him because you intended to let him live, and you, who could find the palace, would stay in his place..."
"Shut up!" The female hijacker's heart raced as Lyon laid bare her thoughts in a few words. She stomped her foot in frustration and shouted, "You're not allowed to speak! Get someone to the control room now, or I'll shoot!"
"Then go ahead and shoot!" Lyon glanced at the nail gun in the female hijacker's hand and smiled. "As soon as you pull the trigger and fire the nails, I'll have someone take over the control room. We'll go wherever you want. How does that sound?"
"What?! You're right! Our guns are just props!"
The female hijacker's lips turned white as she bit them, and the gun in her hand remained silent. The VIP cabin, which had been silent out of fear, finally spoke up, relieved that the hijackers' attention had shifted from them.
"You scared me..."
"They're fake!"
"Damn it! You're trying to scare us with fake guns?!"
A fat merchant sitting next to the female hijacker, wearing a silk shirt and weighing at least 300 pounds, suddenly stood up. He waved his hand, which was so fat that oil might have oozed out if squeezed, and slapped the female hijacker.
"You..." The slap never landed as the female hijacker's brother rushed forward, kicking the fat merchant to the ground. He drew a small rhino horn dagger from his pocket and waved it at the surrounding passengers. "I have a knife even without a gun! If anyone dares to touch my sister, I'll..."
"So she really is your sister, oh right..."
Lyon took out a long-unused sniper rifle from the Mirror World, flicked off the safety with his index finger, and asked with a smile, "Want to guess if my gun is real or fake?"
