Chapter 491: Iron Fist Ayong Makes a Move
Chapter 491: Iron Fist Ayong Makes a Move
"You're not playing fair!" Tie Kaicheng patted Lao Miaozi on the shoulder.
Lao Miaozi was taken aback, not understanding Tie Kaicheng's words.
"You told Aji to run, but why didn't you tell me to do the same?" Tie Kaicheng asked, "Do you really think I'm a match for the boss's three henchmen?"
"But you didn't kill anyone sent by the boss," Lao Miaozi said, his face full of confusion.
"But I saved all of you," Tie Kaicheng said, "and I even incited them to go after Aji. Strictly speaking, I'm also an accomplice."
Lao Miaozi blinked, "Then you should leave too?"
Tie Kaicheng smiled and asked, "If I leave, what will happen to your family?"
Lao Miaozi's cheeks twitched as he replied dryly, "We're just an ordinary family. The boss won't hold a grudge against us."
"So you think you can take this hit for us?" Tie Kaicheng said with a smile.
"Of course not!"
The response didn't come from anyone in the courtyard, but from outside.
The next moment, there was a loud "bang," and the wooden gate, which was not very sturdy to begin with, shattered into pieces, sending splinters flying in all directions. Had anyone been standing closer to the gate, they would surely have been injured by the flying debris.
Behind the shattered gate stood a fist that had yet to retract its momentum.
What a heavy fist! Tie Kaicheng nodded, acknowledging the distinct style of Kongtong. It carried the authentic internal energy of Wudang, but with a unique twist, making it extremely powerful.
As the wooden gate broke apart, it revealed a solidly built, lavishly dressed middle-aged man standing at the front, with seven or eight people behind him, all glaring menacingly at the group in the courtyard.
The middle-aged man took slow steps forward, blowing on his clean fist as if to remove nonexistent dust and splinters, but he didn't look at Xie Xiao Feng. Instead, he turned his gaze to Tie Kaicheng.
"Head Escort Tie!"
"You know me?"
"I don't know you, but someone does." The middle-aged man replied calmly, "The boss may never leave Dongcheng, but there's nothing happening in the three rivers and five lakes that he doesn't know about."
"I've heard about that." Tie Kaicheng nodded, "The boss is known for his generosity and wealth, with hundreds of brothers from all over, and incredibly well-informed."
"Since you're aware of that, you shouldn't meddle in the boss's business." The middle-aged man said.
"I've never interfered in the boss's affairs, and I even thoughtfully gave that coachman a suggestion." Tie Kaicheng smiled, "It's just that this useless Aji didn't turn out as expected. That's his own problem now."
The middle-aged man narrowed his eyes, a satisfied smile spreading across his face. He had thought that Tie Kaicheng had lost his nerve and didn't dare to go against the boss.
"I've long heard that Head Escort Tie blinded Mei Changqing with one sword and killed the Wudang traitor, Bai Mu, with another. Once this matter is settled, we should get to know each other better." The middle-aged man offered a deal.
Wa Wa and Lao Miaozi looked at Tie Kaicheng with a hint of disappointment in their eyes, thinking that he had backed down out of fear of the boss.
However, they soon understood and accepted it. The boss's influence was formidable, and it was only natural for them to feel this way.
After dismissing Tie Kaicheng, the middle-aged man finally turned his attention to Xie Xiao Feng, "So you're the useless Aji?"
"I am." Xie Xiao Feng replied calmly.
While everyone else thought that Tie Kaicheng had lost his nerve, he didn't see it that way. The light martial arts skill that Tie Kaicheng had just displayed was proof of his strength, and he certainly wouldn't be afraid of a mere local bully from Jiangnan.
Xie Xiao Feng understood Tie Kaicheng's intention, as the latter had made no attempt to hide it. He wanted to force Xie Xiao Feng to take action and witness the spectacle! Although Xie Xiao Feng didn't know why Tie Kaicheng was doing this, he wasn't curious about it.
"Whatever you call yourself is none of my concern," Xie Xiao Feng replied nonchalantly.
"My name may not concern you, but my fist certainly will," Ayong said, his voice cold.
"Oh?" Xie Xiao Feng raised an eyebrow.
"You killed three of the Big Boss's men," Ayong stated. "Do you know what happened to those who dared to do the same in the past?"
"No idea," Xie Xiao Feng admitted.
"They all died," Ayong said, his voice filled with satisfaction. "Some had their intestines punched to mush by my iron fist, others had their chests caved in by Iron Head, and there were those whose skulls were smashed into their chests by Iron Tiger's palm strike."
"Oh." Xie Xiao Feng's tone remained indifferent.
"You don't seem scared at all," Ayong observed, his eyes narrowing.
"I have no reason to be," Xie Xiao Feng stated simply.
"You've got guts, I'll give you that. No wonder you dared to take those seven or eight knife wounds and defy the Big Boss himself," Ayong chuckled. "Since you're so brave, I won't take advantage of you. If you can take a punch from me, I'll consider you a real man, and we'll forget about what happened earlier today."
"Please." Xie Xiao Feng's attitude turned icy as he faced Iron Fist Ayong; he had no time for pleasantries.
However, his cold demeanor caused Wa Wa and Lao Miaozi to misinterpret his intentions. They thought that he had given up and was ready to die under Ayong's fist.
Ayong noticed Xie Xiao Feng's attitude and nodded, "Your attitude is quite irritating, I must say."
As he spoke, he began to stride towards Xie Xiao Feng, each step measured and identical, his arms swinging with increasing amplitude. His right hand was already clenched into a fist, gathering power with each passing moment.
But it wasn't Xie Xiao Feng who snapped first; it was Lao Miaozi.
"Damn it, if we're going to die, then let's die!" Lao Miaozi roared, preparing to charge towards Ayong. "What's so great about your fist? If you've got the guts, hit me first!"
Before Lao Miaozi could even take a step, however, a hand landed on his shoulder, immobilizing him instantly. "Don't interrupt my show," Tie Kaicheng said, his voice calm but commanding. Lao Miaozi, despite his robust physique, stood no chance against Tie Kaicheng's strength.
Ayong paid no heed to Lao Miaozi's outburst and instead focused on Xie Xiao Feng, standing before him with a cold smile. He swung his fist in a powerful punch aimed directly at Xie Xiao Feng's face, intending to smash it to pieces, to the extent that even his closest kin wouldn't recognize him.
"Bang!"
The sound of collision was followed by the sickening crunch of breaking bones—not once, but over a dozen times.
Ayong's face contorted in shock as he realized his fist had been deformed by the impact.
His Iron Fist, honed over three decades, capable of splitting mountains and cracking even the Shaolin Temple's renowned hard Qigong, had been shattered just like that?
Ayong let out a miserable cry and crumpled to the ground.
Xie Xiao Feng slowly retracted his hand, letting it hang naturally by his side, as steady as Mount Tai itself. Not a scratch marred his skin.
"Go back and tell your Big Boss that if he wants my life, he'll need to send someone better. This sort of trash isn't even worth my time."
