The purchasing manager nodded, "Yes, his youngest daughter is named Jian Weini. Is there a problem, Boss?"
Nie Zhan had seen Jian Weini before; she was beautiful but rather arrogant. He couldn't imagine why Nie Zhan would be interested in her, mainly because, aside from Lu Jiaxin, he had never shown any favoritism toward other women.

That evening, when Nie Zhan returned home, he told Lu Jiaxin about the incident involving Jian Weini. "Don't worry, I've already instructed them to find a suitable replacement construction materials supplier," he assured her.

Nie Zhan curiously asked, "Why did you want to help Yu Meiton so much?"
Not only had she requested that Wan Sheng sever ties with the Jian family, but she had also stood up for Yu Meiton and scolded Jian Weini at Fu Lin Men. As far as he knew, Lu Jiaxin wasn't usually this hot-blooded.
Lu Jiaxin explained, "Because she's my friend! When I see a friend being ridiculed, of course, I want to stand up for her if I have the ability to do so."
Nie Zhan smiled and said, "No wonder Sister-in-law likes you so much. Being your friend is truly a blessing."

The next morning, Jian Weini went to Five Blessings Jewelry to find Yu Meiton and apologize. "Meiton, I'm sorry. I was out of line yesterday. I hope you won't hold it against me," she said.
