Chapter 481: The Clever Weasley Brothers
Chapter 481: The Clever Weasley Brothers
This was the first time Cona had come so close to a dragon, and it was a novel experience for her.
However, Norbert didn't seem to share her enthusiasm. As soon as they landed, he immediately stood up and flew away without looking back, deliberately flicking his tail at the ground as he left, splashing Kyle with dirt.
Norbert clearly didn't have the talent to be a Seeker, as the large clump of dirt traced a graceful arc in the air and landed right on the Snidget's head, who had just emerged from the bushes.
The poor Snidget, still disoriented, was hit by the dirt and sent back into the bushes, leaving behind a string of angry squeaks.
"Oh... that was a big clump of dirt. I hope it's okay," Cona asked with concern.
"Don't worry," Kyle said, listening to the Snidget's squeaks, "it's not only fine, but it can even swear."
After that, he didn't pay attention to the Snidget and continued walking with Cona.
Nevertheless, despite the spaciousness of his box, it was mainly designed to accommodate Norbert's movements and prevent him from feeling cramped.
As for other aspects, such as the number of magical creatures... it was a bit meager.
Over the past few years, he had gradually gathered more Bowtruckles, Mooncalfs, and Erumpents from the Forbidden Forest, but even with this collection, the half-forest space still felt somewhat empty.
Especially the area covered in snow, where not a single inhabitant could be found.
However, Cona didn't feel the same way. Everything here excited her.
Moreover, she discovered a large clearing in front of the forest filled with rows of round, plump Stinging Kale.
"Is this food for the Mooncalfs?" she asked curiously. "It must be quite troublesome to grow these."
"It is indeed troublesome, but this isn't food for the Mooncalfs," Kyle said. "And you need to be careful. Don't ever go in there. In a sense, it's even more dangerous than the dragon."
As he spoke, he picked up a stick from the ground and threw it casually, hitting a Stinging Kale.
The next second, the Stinging Kale, which had appeared normal a moment ago, suddenly split open.
Cona's eyes widened in surprise as she saw a mouth full of sharp teeth.
The stick was quickly bitten into pieces, and Cona could even hear the distinct sound of teeth grinding.
"Is this a Stinging Kale?" she asked in disbelief.
"Yes," Kyle nodded. "So be careful when you pass by here. And you saw the Venomous Tentacle behind the Stinging Kale, hidden behind the rocks, right? And the Mandrakes in the flower pots next to it.
Oh, and you know about Devil's Snare, of course. The yellow flowers on its left are Deadly Nightshade, so be careful not to touch them. If the pollen gets on your body, it'll be uncomfortable for a long time."
Cona listened quietly as Kyle named each plant, and her face grew more peculiar with every mention.
She couldn't help but feel that there wasn't a single normal plant here; they were either poisonous or extremely dangerous... In this situation, the large patch of Belladonna and Sage next to them seemed a bit excessive.
Oh, and there was the dragon from earlier...
Cona blinked and couldn't help but ask, "Are you preparing for the Triwizard Tournament?"
If she thought about it carefully, releasing all these creatures would mean that no challenge would be too difficult, unless the task was to duel with Professor Dumbledore.
Even a single dragon could sweep through everything.
"Triwizard Tournament? Of course not. I just like planting flowers; it's a personal hobby," Kyle shook his head and said. "I don't even know if I can become a champion. Moreover, some of these creatures can't be exposed. Like the dragon and the Venomous Tentacle; if others find out I have them, the Aurors might come to invite me to the Ministry of Magic for a visit."
"You know... " Conner whispered.
But Kyle didn't care. After all, it was impossible for outsiders to enter this place, and it was very safe.
Even if someone found out, it didn't matter. Newt had extensive experience in this area and only needed to copy the reference answers directly. It was very convenient.
Conner stayed in the box until noon before leaving. During that time, she also drew a sketch on the parchment.
Apparently worried about losing the parchment, she didn't write much. She only used different colors to mark the danger levels of each area.
For safer areas, such as the bushes in front of the entrance and the belladonna and sage flower beds, she used lighter shades of yellow and pinkish-white, corresponding to the Snidget and flowers.
The area representing the sky was circled in red... Kyle thought that must be Norbert.
As for the patch of stinging kale and venomous tentacles, it was painted entirely black.
Conner had covered the parchment with abstract markings, even more so than the illustrations in the Dream Interpretation Guide.
Kyle could guarantee that if anyone else saw this, they would never guess what it was. The secrecy level was maxed out.
The two returned to the small room at the entrance. After Conner carefully put away the parchment, she followed Kyle out of the box, ready to go to the Great Hall for lunch.
Conner hadn't eaten much in the morning, and after walking around in the box all morning, she was already hungry. If it weren't for this reason, she could have stayed in the box all day.
The two walked from the eighth floor to the entrance hall.
However, just as they reached the Great Hall's entrance, Fred and George suddenly appeared, one on each side, standing like a wall.

"You must have gone to see the box!" George said confidently, without waiting for Kyle to speak.
"How do you know?" Kyle asked.
"Because we went to look for you!" Fred said.
"But you weren't in the Common Room...
"Nor in the library or Hagrid's Hut..."
"The Room of Requirement's door wouldn't open..."
George smiled, as if he understood everything, "Don't think about it. You must have been inside so that no one would find you when you and Conner went to see the box!"
"Alright, I admit it," Kyle shrugged. "You guessed right. It's the weekend, and I just happened to have time."
"Kyle, did you forget what you promised us..." Fred said with a stern expression. "George, I think we need to do something to help this forgetful gentleman remember what he said."
"I completely agree, Fred," George said with a sinister smile.
The two rubbed their fists and then... pulled out a handful of fart bombs from their pockets.
There were over ten of them, and they were the latest version from Zorko this year, with an even richer flavor than before. If they all exploded, everyone in the Great Hall would be affected.
"Let's talk this over," Kyle immediately conceded. "It's just taking you to see the space inside the box. Of course, I remember, but you weren't in the Great Hall this morning, so I couldn't call you..."
"But the Room of Requirement is right next to our Common Room," Fred said, narrowing his eyes. "Why didn't you go and call us..."
Kyle smiled awkwardly. "Well... would you believe me if I said I forgot?"
"Hmm..." Fred sneered. "What do you think?"
"Alright, how about this afternoon?" Kyle said. "I'll take you after lunch."
Fred and George looked at each other and then put down the powerful weapons in their hands.
"Okay, you said it."
