"Wait! I'll take you there! Just don't harm my daughter!"

At the last moment, the queen finally cried out.

Uchiha Madara withdrew his hand, remaining silent.

He felt no guilt for his ruthless tactics. After all, Madara was a cunning and ambitious hero, and he cared little about the means as long as they served his ultimate goal.

Still, using a child to threaten a defenseless woman wasn’t something he wanted to make a habit of—it was rather unmanly, after all.

Approaching the queen, who held her daughter tightly with tears in her eyes, Madara extended a gentlemanly gesture, inviting her to lead the way.

The queen hesitated slightly before making a request:

"Lord Madara, please allow me to settle my daughter first. Once I’ve put her to sleep, I’ll take you there…"

But just as the queen turned to leave, Madara seized her shoulder, his tone chilling and calm:

"Your Majesty, to save time, bring your daughter along. Besides, if anything unexpected happens, you two can keep each other company on the journey."

Gulping audibly, the queen swallowed her fear. There was no escaping this now.

She had no choice but to comply.

With the queen leading the way and Madara following closely behind—technically, it was three of them—they navigated through the palace’s winding corridors, descending flight after flight of stairs until they finally reached the Leyline Altar hidden beneath the palace.

Activating a mechanism known only to the queens of Loulan, the mother and daughter led Madara inside.

The space opened up into a vast, dimly lit chamber. Though the lighting was poor, the sheer size of the area was impressive.

At the center lay a deep, ominous pit descending into the earth. In the middle of the pit stood the altar used by generations of Loulan queens to control the Leyline, connected to the edge by a narrow bridge made of stone bricks.

Madara approached the edge, peering down into the dark abyss below.

Sure enough, the surging streams of purple light within were none other than the infinite Leyline chakra—a reservoir so vast it defied measurement.

Activating his Rinnegan, Madara studied the scene more closely. The reason the Leyline chakra remained so tranquil was due to a faint sealing barrier enveloping it, suppressing its explosive potential like a dormant volcano waiting to erupt.

As Madara scrutinized the Leyline, the queen and her daughter began to quietly retreat… then retreated further… and even further still. Madara, engrossed in his observations, failed to notice their movements.

Finally, seizing the opportunity, the queen leapt toward the stone door with her daughter in her arms. Activating the mechanism outside, she slammed the heavy stone door shut, sealing Madara inside completely.

The room plunged into near-total darkness, illuminated only by the faint glow of the Leyline’s purple chakra.

Turning to face the sealed stone door, Madara sneered dismissively:

"Tch! Women! Do you really think this is enough to trap me, Uchiha Madara? With a single powerful attack, I could shatter this door! And what about the Wood Release technique Mayfly? Is that just for show? Truly, Loulan may be prosperous, but its people lack vision!"

Shaking off his irritation, Madara turned his attention back to the boundless chakra below. Like a starving man gazing upon an enticing feast, he rubbed his hands together eagerly and leapt directly into the pit!

"Shinra Tensei!"

As he descended, Madara unleashed a Shinra Tensei, creating a massive breach in the sealing barrier surrounding the Leyline. Without hesitation, he dove headfirst into the torrent of Leyline chakra, plunging into it like a diver entering water!

The breach he created quickly began to seal itself, thanks to the sophisticated self-repairing properties of the barrier. Fortunately, the seal held firm; otherwise, the Leyline chakra would have erupted catastrophically!

Once submerged in the so-called infinite Leyline chakra, Madara immediately sensed something familiar. This… was unmistakably natural energy!

Having witnessed Hashirama Senju’s Sage Mode and use of natural energy, Madara recognized it instantly.

Upon reflection, it made sense. Given that this was a Leyline hidden deep underground, it couldn’t possibly be ordinary chakra refined by humans!

This realization thrilled Madara. Perhaps his own Sage Mode was within reach!

If he could absorb this natural energy, he might finally unlock his Sage Mode—a crucial step toward elevating his power to the next level!

Setting aside all other thoughts, Madara floated amidst the endless sea of natural energy, closed his eyes, crossed his legs in meditation, and focused his mind. He began absorbing the surrounding natural energy through every pore in his body.

Meanwhile, the Leyline began to stir restlessly.

The Leyline had been accumulating chakra for centuries, suppressed under the sealing barrier. Now, with Madara acting as a conduit, the Leyline’s energy surged uncontrollably toward him. He didn’t even need to actively draw it in—the chakra flooded into his body like a raging river!

What followed was a fierce battle between man and nature.

Would Madara succeed in fully absorbing and assimilating this natural energy, evolving his essence and ascending to new heights? Or would he be overwhelmed and consumed by the sheer enormity of the Leyline’s power, vanishing into nothingness as part of the natural world?

Moreover, there was another pressing question: Could Madara’s body withstand such an overwhelming influx of chakra? After all, this was an entire underground Leyline!

This process would take time. For now, Madara sat silently within the Leyline, calmly channeling and refining its energy.

Outside, however, chaos erupted in the wake of Madara’s actions.

After sealing the stone door, the queen hurried away with her daughter. When no movement or sound came from within after a while, she reluctantly decided to seal the area entirely, leaving Madara trapped inside.

Meanwhile, Konoha and Sunagakure found themselves once again thrown into turmoil by Madara’s sudden appearance.
