Chapter 479: Give Me More Fun!
Chapter 479: Give Me More Fun!
"You're truly beyond redemption, Oger!" Sag gritted his teeth. "Today, you'll die here! See this? Our wrath—after enduring your oppression for years, we've finally reached our limit. We will rise up!"
"Rebellion? With these weaklings who can't even grip a blade?"
Oger's gaze swept downward, spotting a citizen clutching a weapon looted from a pirate. He sneered, "You have such sturdy frames, yet you can't even hold a sword steady. How dare you dream of rebellion?"
Clomp clomp clomp!
As his words fell, heavy footsteps suddenly echoed from behind the crowd.
Under the torrential rain, a massive group of pirates surged forward.
"Hurry! These rebels are creating chaos—this is our chance!"
"Perfect timing! Let's seize the Palace during this uprising. I know for a fact there's unimaginable treasure inside!"
The approaching force was a chaotic mix of pirates and rogue mercenary bands, their faces twisted with greed and malicious grins.
"Sag! More are coming from behind!" a citizen cried, his face paling.
Though they'd summoned the courage to resist, this was a scale of violence he'd never witnessed before. There were too many!
Even if their numbers were greater, the sheer magnitude of the threat left them trembling with fear. None had ever faced such a scene.
"That's right", Oger suddenly interjected. "Did you hear them? There's treasure here!"
He rose, walking to the massive spear impaled in the wall. His gaze swept over Dick before declaring, "See that wall behind me? This is the wealth I've accumulated over five years. I've stored it all behind there—treasures forged from your blood and tears. Pity. I originally planned to expand it further, but no matter. After crushing you today, I'll have more than enough to keep expanding for even greater riches."
With that, he seized the spear, fingers flexing as he shifted into a throwing stance.
"Oger, no! These are your own people!" Dick screamed in horror.
Oger ignored him completely. Stepping forward, his pupils constricted as he hurled the weapon.
Hiss!
The silver-white long spear became a wisp of white light, exploding through the air above the crowd. The shockwave sent countless people reeling backward, some collapsing outright from the impact.
Boom!!!
The spear descended from the heavens, piercing straight through the pirate crew. It carved a massive gash through their densely packed ranks, shattering the ground and sending pirates flying. At the epicenter, the spear stood embedded in the earth, skewering multiple bodies.
The sheer devastation froze everyone in place.
The pirates stood paralyzed, staring in disbelief.
"Why do I still rule this Kingdom despite having so few soldiers and all this chaos?" King Krayen Oger mused coldly, fixing Sag—who was drenched in cold sweat—with a piercing stare. "Obviously... because I'm strong!"
"A minor setback, but no matter."
Crash!
Oger snapped back, punching his throne into splinters. His hand plunged beneath it, ripping up the floorboards.
From the wreckage emerged a black great spear identical to the silver-white one.
Bang!!
Oger vanished in a blur, reappearing with the spear to strike.
Sag's body jolted backward as the crowd parted like a tidal wave.
Oger materialized behind the chaotic throng, standing between the citizens and pirates.
"Scatter!" he sneered, his malevolent grin widening. "Whether you're peasants or pirates, experience the terror of five years ago!"
"This speed... this impact force", Dick muttered, watching citizens stagger to their feet. He swallowed hard. "Five years as King haven't dulled your edge, Oger?"
Thud!
Oger planted himself, swinging the spear in a wide arc. A gust of wind erupted from the blade, felling citizens to his left. As he pivoted right, he added more force, the wind slicing like a blade through the pirates.
Hiss!
The gust cleaved several pirates at the waist, while the following shockwave sent others flying.
The crowd, already thinned by the earlier strike, now lost another layer.
Planting the spear upright, Oger roared with laughter. "In the face of my military might, who could possibly succeed in rebellion?!"
His words left the citizens pale with fear.
They'd been lucky—mere bruises from the shockwave. But if the pirates continued resisting, they'd share that fate.
Oger's overwhelming power brought despair.
"Exactly that expression!" Oger laughed. "That look of fear, numbness, and helplessness—take it home with you! Since you've entertained me today, I'll forgive this transgression. But remember... accept my oppression! Endure the chaos and plunder! The Krayen Kingdom will forever be my 'hunting ground,' a paradise for those who embrace chaos!"
"No! I won't be bullied anymore!" A burly citizen clenched his blade, tears streaming down his face. "Never again! Since we've risen up, even if we die, I'll show you our resolve!"
"That's right! I won't return to that life! Pirates can be killed—and so can you!"
"Destroy him! Overthrow this Kingdom! Our lives belong to us!"
The citizens rallied, their resolve hardened rather than broken by Oger's words.
"That's the spirit!!"
From the path Oger had carved through the crowd, Sag emerged resolute, unflinching as he faced the King. "I—we—will never be bullied again! Even if the sea emperor himself came, he'd only claim our corpses!!"
"Is that so?"
Oger's lips curled into a smile that quickly twisted into a malevolent grin. He raised his spear, lowering his stance as the blade gleamed coldly in the rain.
"Hey, pirates! Give me more fun!"
He turned to the hesitant pirates. "Crush them, and I'll forgive your rebellion."
"Y-yes! Of course!" A trembling pirate tightened his grip on his weapon, forcing a malicious grin. "If we only need to subdue these non-resisters, we can handle it easily. His Majesty, the Krayen Kingdom, is yours to command!"
"Exactly, Your Majesty! We came to help you all along—no ulterior motives at all!"
"My men, honor our King's command! For letting us hunt freely before, help him suppress these peasants!"
"That's the plan!!"
The pirates roared in unison.
Oger swung his spear backward, pointing at the crowd.
Boom!
A shockwave erupted from the tip, piercing a pirate's skull and continuing through several more behind him.
"Too noisy", he said coldly.
"Captain!!"
The unaffected pirates screamed in terror.
"How?! Our captain had a bounty of 40 million—killed in one strike?!" one stammered.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, Oger vanished, reappearing beside the silver-white spear.
"Move aside. Don't block my path."
Swinging the Black Gun, his blade carved through pirates. Their chests bore gaping wounds, and the shockwaves sent more flying.
"Captain!"
"First Mate!"
The strike sent panicked cries through the pirates.
Oger's lips curled into a malevolent grin. With a strike of his Black Gun, he sent the silver-white spear soaring. The weapon flung its impaled corpses into the air.
"Charge!" Oger bellowed.
"Attack!!"
Under Oger's might, the pirates roared as they surged forward.
"We won't lose!!" Sag shouted, gripping his weapon as he led the citizens into battle.
The silver-white spear spun through the air, landing beside Kuro who watched from above.
"Hm?"
Kuro tilted sideways as the spear rotated past him, landing solidly between the colliding forces.
Bang!
Sag drove his blade into a pirate's skull, discarding his flintlock and hoe. Though his frame wasn't imposing, he seized the silver-white spear and swung it with all his might.
Meanwhile, Oger's long spear pointed skyward at Kuro. "You too, pirate! You clearly didn't hear me—disobedience irritates me, so..."
Thud!
His foot struck the air, propelling him upward. The Black Gun's blade swept forth with Armament Haki, rushing toward Kuro.
"Die!!" Murderous intent blazed in his eyes.
