Chapter 476: Building the Ice Camp
Chapter 476: Building the Ice Camp
After ending the call with Su Yu, Xue Wenli immediately contacted the Treasury Department of the People's Bank of China.
The Treasury Department searched their internal system and provided her with an address. The address was for a warehouse located at the Fourth Ring Road in the eastern part of the Imperial Capital, where 93 tons of gold freshly transported from the largest gold refinery in Tanzania were stored.
Xue Wenli promptly forwarded the address to Su Yu.
Su Yu leaped from the ninth-floor window and, upon reaching the ground, cast the [Portal] spell to teleport to the Imperial Capital.
Half an hour later, a silver portal appeared above the Yunlu Mountain Psychic Spring. Su Yu emerged from the portal, bringing with him the 93 tons of gold from the Imperial Capital.
As he stepped out of the portal, Su Yu looked down to see the entire Yunlu Mountain base.
Three months ago, the Singer Civilization had destroyed all the Skorl expeditionary forces on the top of Yunlu Mountain, leaving the summit covered in powdered debris and filled with chaotic psychic energy.
Once the chaotic energy dissipated, the Blue Planet Construction Corps climbed to the top of Yunlu Mountain to build the base.
Three months have passed since then.
Through three months of construction, the Blue Planet base on the mountain top has taken shape. Rows of buildings stand on the flat summit, equipped with numerous precision instruments both inside and out. Compared to three months ago, the transformation is nothing short of miraculous.
At the halfway point of the mountain, three military bases form a triangular defense around the summit. On the mountain top, over a hundred ancient greats from various countries reside.
As soon as Su Yu appeared, over a hundred different psychic senses probed him.
Once they recognized his identity, these psychic senses became much friendlier and withdrew.
At that moment, two figures flew up from the base below, heading toward Su Yu.
Both were elderly men with kind faces and youthful appearances.
One of the elders wore an ancient-style yellow Tang suit and a black headcloth, exuding a regal aura.
The other elder wore simple civilian clothing, and except for his ability to fly, he looked like a common old farmer from the mountains.
"Are you Su Yu, my young friend? I've heard about you from the relevant departments," the elder in the yellow Tang suit said with a gentle smile, speaking in a mix of ancient and modern Chinese. "I am the Emperor of the Tang Dynasty, Li Shimin. The one beside me is a senior from the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Tao Yuanming."
Su Yu quickly bowed to them. "Greetings, honored seniors."
"What brings you here?" Tao Yuanming asked, stroking his beard as he looked at Su Yu.
"I'm here for this. It's something produced in the game world," Su Yu said, reaching into the space attached to his necklace and pulling out a miniature version of the "Ice Camp."
This miniature camp was about the size of a student's desk, exquisitely crafted. If it were a building model, even a master sculptor would find it difficult to create such a lifelike piece.
"This is..." Emperor Taizong squinted his eyes and stroked his chin. "It looks a bit like the 'Chaos Bell' artifact I've seen, which contains a world within. Young Su, does your artifact also contain a world?"
"Something like that," Su Yu nodded. "According to the game's description, this building, once completed, can recruit many creatures."
As Su Yu chatted with the two seniors, another figure flew up from below.
This figure was wearing a "Lencot 003 Type Mech." Due to lack of experience, his flight was somewhat wobbly.
Su Yu looked at the person's face and immediately recognized him as none other than Snow Leopard, Zhong Feng.
Perhaps because he needed to operate his mech, Zhong Feng was a step behind the two seniors.
"Su Yu, how did you get here? And what's that?" Zhong Feng's mech rose to the same height as Su Yu, and through the transparent helmet, he saw the "Snow Camp" in Su Yu's hand, his eyes widening in recognition. It looked so familiar!
Su Yu smiled. "This is the 'Snow Camp.' You should be familiar with it. It's the same camps from the illusionary battle earlier. After winning the championship, the system rewarded me with five golden camps."
"Is this really the Snow Camp?!" Zhong Feng was astonished. He never expected the game to offer such a reward.
However, Tao, the senior, furrowed his brow and asked, "I haven't been paying much attention to the game world. Could you tell us what this Snow Camp is?"
"How about this," Su Yu suggested, turning to him. "I'll construct this Snow Camp, and you'll see what it does once it's built."
"Alright." Tao and Emperor Tai Zong exchanged glances and nodded in agreement.
...
Su Yu looked down at the base below.
The construction requirement for the Snow Camp was a flat, 100x100 meter area. However, the mountaintop was densely packed with buildings, leaving no space large enough for the camp.
Since there was no available space, Su Yu had to create it himself.
He first stored the "Snow Camp" back in his necklace and then landed on the side of the hill.
"Ice Blade Sword!" With Su Yu's incantation, a massive, hundred-meter-long sword made of solid ice formed in front of him.
He chose a lower position on the hill and swung the sword horizontally, slicing through the solid mountain as easily as a knife through tofu, creating a deep, hundred-meter-long gash.
Then, he flew up a bit and swung the sword vertically, clearing out the middle section of the hill. A platform of over a hundred square meters was now complete.
Seeing how effortlessly Su Yu accomplished this, Zhong Feng couldn't help but wipe the sweat from his forehead.
Sixth-stage Holy Domain mages are incredibly powerful! It seems the mathematical models created by experts still fall short in estimating the strength of high-level cultivators.
Su Yu, unaware of Zhong Feng's thoughts, took out the "Snow Camp" from his necklace and placed it in the center of the platform, allowing it to begin construction autonomously.
The Great Cultivators at the mountaintop base noticed the commotion and flew down to observe, their curiosity piqued. They were familiar with the native cultivation methods of Blue Star, but this foreign civilization's technology was entirely new to them.
As the Snow Camp began to construct itself, it rapidly grew in size. Cold mist enveloped it, and a thick layer of snow and ice covered the entire camp, expanding it from the size of a desk to a 100x100 meter structure.
The Great Cultivators used their divine senses to probe the interior of the building, while also discussing among themselves.
"Is this a magical artifact from the game?"
"Looks like it."
"Wait, I can sense life inside it!"
"That's right, I can sense it too. There must be some form of life within."
One of the Great Cultivators, gazing at the snow-covered camp, asked Su Yu, "Young friend Su Yu, how long will it take for this structure to be completed?"
