Chapter 470: Lord of Demons
Chapter 470: Lord of Demons
At the same time, beneath the Explosive Tunnel...
Lute's expression shifted subtly. She turned her head toward an empty space, murmuring, “An unexpected enemy has appeared… again?”
Of course, she only muttered that much before refocusing. Before her lay a far more pressing challenge.
Just over a hundred meters ahead of Lute, a manifestation of dark power drew near.

“So even I cannot analyze him…” Lute whispered, her voice icy. “And after crossing the hellgate, he absorbed most of this city’s darkness in just half an hour.” She scoffed, “Hmph… truly worthy of the name—Lord of Demons.”
The demonic figure in the distance heard her words. A cold smirk curled his lips. The swirling darkness around him halted, then spiraled inward, vanishing into his body like a vortex.
At last, the Lord of Demons revealed his true form.
His face retained a vaguely human silhouette, but his youthfulness belied his power—barely thirty, with sharp, imposing features. His four pupil-less eyes glowed with intense white energy. His teeth were razor-sharp like a beast’s, his ears pointed like an elf’s. A cascade of white hair spilled past his waist, writhing behind him like a living thing.
On his forehead, two obsidian ram horns jutted skyward, while additional blade-like horns protruded from his temples. His body was sheathed in jagged black armor resembling scorpion tails, serpents, and blades fused into his flesh, clinging to his muscular frame like an extension of his being.
——
Shifting focus elsewhere, let’s see what Feng Bu Jue faces.
“You!” Hong Hu immediately recognized X-23. Twenty-Three was the only derivative being he’d encountered before, and this scenario marked his first meeting with Feng Bu Jue—how could he forget?
“You three should leave now,” Twenty-Three said, stepping from behind Feng Bu Jue. Her current attire was bizarre—a thick white suit resembling a space suit, her neck down wrapped like a Michelin tire.
“You… this can’t be real!” Y2-Shining dimmed his glow, his expression obscured by a darkened visage. His voice, though, betrayed panic. “How could you reach here? This scenario has already…”
“I have no dutyanswer for you,” Twenty-Three cut him off. “Don’t expect to stall time.” She chuckled, her gloves splitting as twin steel blades emerged. “By the time ‘Dragon’ or ‘Kua Duo’ arrives to save you, you’ll be in pieces.”
Before her words faded, a flash of steel blurred.
Twenty-Three struck, swift and merciless. The blade from her finger bones pierced Y2-Shining’s throat. A golden data stream, glowing like liquid, seeped into his wound, spreading irreversibly through his body.
Y2-Shining wasn’t dead yet, but he knew his fate was sealed.
Twenty-Three withdrew the Blade Guild slowly—painfully slowly—to avoid his ink-black blood staining her suit.
“This ending… Lute never told you about, did she?” she remarked coolly.
Y2-Shining’s booming voice cracked into a whisper: “Death… doesn’t always mean the end.”
“No,” she corrected, her blade fully retracting as the golden data completed its corrosion. “In our world, there are no gods, no faith, no redemption. Death is the end. So… better off dead.”
Seconds later, the energy-enhanced Second-Level derivative, Y2-Shining, ceased to exist. As data, he was redundant—trash—a persistent residue slated for deletion. No restoration possible.
“Why are you still here?” Twenty-Three muttered without turning, striding past Hong Hu.
Hong Hu and Zhao Ying Wang stood frozen, Zhao especially stunned, frantically wondering, “Who is this? Was there anyone like her among the fifty contestants?”
Tian Ma Xing Kong, sprawled on the ground, fired questions: “What’s happening? Did someone else arrive? Hey! Why’s everyone quiet? Is anyone alive?”
“Perfect timing… I have questions for you,” Feng Bu Jue smiled at Twenty-Three approaching him.
“This isn’t a safe place,” Twenty-Three said, her expression unchanged despite Y2-Shining’s demise. “Ask them later. Follow me now.”
“I still need to handle something here. My companions are heading that way,” Feng Bu Jue pointed toward the Explosive Tunnel.
She interrupted: “You cannot go there. You’re the most critical among the Ten—you must not be compromised.” She glanced toward his indicated direction, then asked, “One of your allies is Wang Tan Zhi, correct? The other is Matcha Su with him?”
Feng Bu Jue nodded. “Yes.” He’d ask about her clairvoyance later.
“Then no problem,” Twenty-Three replied. “Matcha Su is also among the Ten. My partner will ensure her safety. I’ll contact our team to update them on your status.” She paused. “In short—leave with me now.”
