Chapter 47: Tsunade's Meeting with the Imperial Trio!
Chapter 47: Tsunade's Meeting with the Imperial Trio!
In the Hokage's office, Tsunade, Kakashi, Shikaku Nara, and Shizune stared in astonishment at the now-restored Imperial Lee, Neji, and Obito, who resembled their village's Lee and Neji but had notably more robust physiques.
"They're so well-built..." Tsunade muttered, her eyes widening at the sight. "Are all people from other worlds as robust as you? One is over six feet tall, and the other is about six feet two inches..."
"The Lee and Neji from another world feel so different from ours," Shizune whispered.
Kakashi, on the other hand, stared at Imperial Obito, his eyes filled with memories.
"Ahahaha! It's because we've practiced the martial arts taught by His Majesty, so having a strong body is normal! If you cultivate it in the future, your body can be just as robust!" Imperial Lee laughed, giving them a thumbs-up.
Tsunade and Shizune shuddered at the thought of such massive muscles on their delicate beauty.
"The three of you do bear a striking resemblance to Konoha's Rock Lee, Hinata Neji, and the late Uchiha Obito. However, looks alone are not enough to prove anything unless..." Tsunade fixed her gaze on Imperial Neji and Obito's eyes, pondering for a moment before continuing.
"This?" Imperial Neji murmured softly.
A burst of blue veins appeared around his eyes.
Imperial Obito's eyes turned blood-red, and three spinning tomoe slowly rotated within them.
"Byakugan! Sharingan! It's real! Could they really be Neji and Obito from another world? Does that mean other worlds truly exist?" Shikaku exclaimed, astonished by the changes in their eyes.
"In the entire ninja world, only the main house of the Hyuga clan possesses the Byakugan that can see through objects, and the Sharingan is even more extraordinary. This strongly suggests that their identities might indeed be as Naruto said... Otherwise, it's hard to explain," Kakashi agreed, his voice laced with wonder.
"Well, do you believe us now?" Naruto asked, rubbing his nose triumphantly.
"I believe it about seventy to eighty percent now..." Tsunade said cautiously.
"What? You still don't trust us, Granny Tsunade? That's not fair!" Naruto pouted, feeling slightly aggrieved.
"As ninjas, we must maintain a level of skepticism about things that exceed our understanding," Tsunade lectured. "It's unwise to believe everything we're told, Naruto."
"Alright, alright! If you say so, Hokage-sama," Naruto sighed, feigning resignation.
"So, you still don't believe us?" Imperial Neji said flatly, his expression devoid of emotion. "It seems that no matter how much we explain or provide proof, you won't be convinced."
"That's right," Tsunade nodded. "Unless you can take me to your world and let me see it with my own eyes, I will continue to have my doubts."
"I understand," Imperial Neji replied. "However, traveling through time and space requires certain items, and we'll need some time to prepare."
"Items, huh..." Tsunade and Shikaku shared a glance, feeling slightly relieved.
Regardless of whether these individuals were truly from another world, Konoha was safe for now. If their claims were true, they could have easily sent an army of a million Kakashis to conquer the ninja world instead of engaging in diplomacy.
"However, regarding this matter, we hope that the three of you will put on a splendid performance with us."
Imperial Lee broke into another hearty laugh. "Don't worry, Tsunade-sama! We'll show you the splendor of the Empire soon enough. I'm sure you'll fall in love with it just like Naruto did!"
"Oh... I certainly look forward to it," Tsunade said with a nod and a smile.
An awkward silence filled the room.
Until...
"Kakashi... why didn't you protect Rin in this world?"
Imperial Obito suddenly fixed his gaze on Kakashi and asked, his voice cold.
"Rin... I'm sorry..."
Kakashi was taken aback, his face filled with guilt. He didn't offer any explanations; he simply hung his head low.
"Sorry? Is that all you have to say? You, Kakashi of this world," Imperial Obito said, his brows furrowed as his fists clenched tightly.
"As for you, Uchiha Obito—or at least, that's what I'll call you for now—from another world. It seems you already know about Rin's death. She died a hero's death in the war. Kakashi's grief over her loss is no less than yours. After all, he was her husband in your world, wasn't he?" Tsunade spoke up, feeling that even if this person was Obito Uchiha from another world, he had no right to question their Kakashi like this.
"Rin's... husband," Imperial Obito repeated, his face freezing as he felt a burning sensation on it.
Yes!
That damn Kakashi was Rin's husband.
Even in this world, the bond between them must have been just as strong, if not stronger...
What could he say to that?
"Ah... you're right, Hokage-sama... I overstepped my bounds. After all, I'm just an outsider," Imperial Obito said, his expression turning cold as his rationality returned.
"Hokage-sama, please don't say that," Yamato interjected. "Even though Obito is from another world, I believe his bond with Rin is just as strong as it is in our world... He wouldn't have wanted to see her die."
"That's right! That's right! It's just like when I went to the Imperial Capital and Uncle Minato and Aunt Kushina treated me so kindly! Even though we're from different worlds, some emotions are universal! I understand how you feel, big brother Obito!" Naruto added.
"I understand where you're coming from, but the fault doesn't lie with Kakashi," Tsunade replied. "In the midst of war, it's already difficult to preserve one's own life, let alone the lives of others. Besides, Kakashi was only thirteen at the time."
In her heart, however, she cursed Yamato and Naruto for their naivete.
Those two idiots! Why are they being so friendly to these possible visitors from another world? They're constantly taking their side!
Don't you know you're from Konoha?
"I spoke out of turn," Imperial Obito said, his expression turning cold as his rationality returned.
Recalling the Uchiha clan massacre, he immediately sensed something amiss and asked, "As an outsider, it may have been inappropriate for me to question you about Rin. But as members of the Uchiha clan, even if we're from different worlds, we share the same heart and strength! So, can you tell me if the Uchiha clan in this world was truly destroyed by that beast, Uchiha Itachi? Did he really kill his own parents?"
