Chapter 47: The Hyperactive Elixir
Chapter 47: The Hyperactive Elixir
Silence.
The hall was completely still, as if not a breath was being taken.
Everyone stared in shock at the scene before them, mouths agape and unable to utter a word.
What was going on?
The fight hadn't even started, so why had this guy already conceded?
In the hall, only Viscount Silvermoon's eyes suddenly brightened, as if a realization had struck him. A look of surprise flashed across his face.
"What did you do to him?"
A man who seemed to be the muscular warrior's friend suddenly lunged forward, yanking the warrior to his feet and glaring furiously at Su Nan.
Su Nan replied coolly, "Just a little trick. Want to try it yourself?"
Under Su Nan's indifferent gaze, the man's expression faltered, and the words died in his throat.
At that moment, the muscular warrior regained his senses.
Recalling his actions, his face turned a deep shade of purple, and with a roar of rage, he drew the battle axe from his back and charged at Su Nan.
Everyone was taken aback.
The two knights standing guard beside Viscount Silvermoon instinctively moved to intervene, but in the next second, they saw Su Nan wave his hand. A blinding bolt of lightning appeared out of nowhere, piercing through the air and striking the warrior.
Crack!
In the blink of an eye, the warrior was lying on the ground, charred and motionless, his fate unknown.
The hall fell into silence once more.
Everyone gaped at the fallen warrior, unable to process what had just happened.
A high-ranking knight, defeated so swiftly and cleanly?
What was that bolt of lightning?
Clap, clap, clap!
Suddenly, applause broke the silence, drawing everyone's attention.
Turning their heads, they saw Viscount Silvermoon standing and clapping, a smile on his face as he looked at Su Nan.
"Sir, your skills are impressive. As you said, if you can eliminate that wraith, the entire reward will be yours!"
His words caused the knights' faces to darken.
However, no one dared to object.
Not only had Viscount Silvermoon made his decision, but the power Su Nan had displayed was enough to deter any thoughts of resistance.
Some of the more experienced knights had already guessed Su Nan's identity.
Knowing they stood no chance, they silently turned and left.
Before long, the hall was empty except for Su Nan.
Viscount Silvermoon, unperturbed, stared intently at Su Nan and asked, "May I ask your name, sir?"
"Ang MacLean."
"If I'm not mistaken, Sir Ang, you are a wizard, correct?"
"Yes."
"Excellent."
Despite his earlier suspicions, Viscount Silvermoon was visibly elated to hear Su Nan's confirmation.
"With you handling it, I'm sure the wraith will be no problem!"
"The wraith is not an issue," Su Nan said coolly. "However, before I deal with it, I have other conditions."
"Please, state them."
"I would like the thousand gold coins as a reward to be paid in advance, and I want it in the form of materials of equal value, which I will specify."
Viscount Silvermoon hesitated for only a moment before agreeing readily.
"Of course. What materials would you like?"
Su Nan handed over a list, which included the materials needed to create a secondary hyperactive elixir, as well as a set of alchemical tools.
The Synthesis Cube had limited space, and he hadn't brought the tools with him this time, so he needed to purchase a new set.
Viscount Silvermoon glanced at the list, relieved to see that the items were not particularly rare. He smiled and said, "I will have someone procure the items as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can rest in my manor."
Su Nan did not refuse and nodded in agreement.
Viscount Silvermoon then called for his butler and instructed him to show Su Nan to a prepared room and to take good care of him.
Once Su Nan left the hall, one of the knights couldn't help but speak up, "My lord, you trust him so easily?"

Once Su Nan left the hall, one of the knights couldn't help but speak up, "My lord, you trust him so easily?"
"What if he takes the materials and runs?" The speaker was one of the two remaining grand knights under Viscount Silvermoon's command.
Viscount Silvermoon didn't get angry at the question. Instead, he smiled and asked, "Urbano, if you were to face him, what are your chances of winning?"
Urbano hesitated for a moment before answering honestly, "Less than fifty percent. His methods are too strange, and I can't see through them."
While Urbano could also defeat a high-ranking knight in a single move, he couldn't do it with such ease and confidence as Su Nan.
Moreover, Su Nan clearly hadn't used his full strength.
The image of the muscular warrior being manipulated like a puppet, barking like a dog, was still fresh in everyone's mind. Such a feat was almost supernatural!
Viscount Silvermoon chuckled and shook his head, patting Urbano on the shoulder. "You would lose for sure."
Seeing Urbano's dissatisfaction, he smiled but didn't say more, turning to walk through the side door of the hall.
Those who didn't understand the power of wizards couldn't fathom just how bizarre and terrifying their abilities were.
It was a force that transcended the understanding of ordinary people, belonging to another realm entirely!
Viscount Silvermoon was highly efficient.
The next day, a large quantity of Silvermoon flowers was delivered to Su Nan.
After instructing the butler not to disturb him, Su Nan began to prepare the potion.
Using materials worth nearly a thousand gold coins, he ultimately created one hundred and two bottles of secondary hyperactive elixir.
Su Nan then started the synthesis process.
As he had predicted, when he added the twenty-second bottle of secondary hyperactive elixir, the synthesis interface showed that the elixir had become a first-tier superior elixir.
The effects and duration had both increased.
However, the mental energy requirement also rose to 8 points.
Su Nan didn't stop there and continued to add more elixirs to the cube.
When the number reached fifty-eight bottles, the synthesis interface suddenly changed.
Hyperactive Elixir (Second Tier / Inferior): Consuming this elixir will significantly boost mental activity and enhance the absorption efficiency of energy particles, extending meditation time. Duration: 48 days and 4 hours. No stacking effects. The consumer's mental energy must be 13 or higher.
"Excellent!"
Su Nan felt a surge of joy.
This elixir was much more potent than the secondary hyperactive elixir!
Especially the enhanced absorption of energy particles, which, when combined with the Divine Blood Amber, could produce a synergistic effect.
Additionally, the duration had been extended by nearly half.
"I wonder what the effects of the superior and superior grades are?"
Su Nan continued to add more elixirs.
When the number reached eighty-five bottles, the Hyperactive Elixir became a second-tier intermediate elixir.
The effects remained largely the same, but the duration increased to 54 days, and the mental energy requirement rose to 15 points.
When the number reached one hundred and five bottles—Su Nan had added the remaining elixirs he had—the Hyperactive Elixir finally became a second-tier superior elixir.
Hyperactive Elixir (Second Tier / Superior): Consuming this elixir will significantly boost mental activity and greatly enhance the absorption efficiency of energy particles, extending meditation time. Duration: 62 days and 10 hours. No stacking effects. The consumer's mental energy must be 18 or higher.
"18 points mental energy requirement."
Su Nan shook his head with a hint of regret.
His current mental energy was less than 16, so even if he synthesized a second-tier superior elixir, he couldn't use it.
However, he quickly regained his spirits.
Being able to synthesize a second-tier intermediate elixir was already a significant achievement.
It would be sufficient for now.
Once his mental energy broke through to 18, he could synthesize a second-tier superior elixir.
"A second-tier intermediate Hyperactive Elixir costs around 850 gold coins and lasts less than two months. That's about 5,000 to 6,000 gold coins a year."
Su Nan couldn't help but sigh.
Even as a second-tier wizard apprentice, the expenses were already so high. He couldn't imagine how much gold he would need to spend once he became a full wizard.
