Chapter 467: The Treaty
The negotiations were over.
The Fire Giant Empire and the Empire of Ashen had signed the Imperial Friendship and Cooperation Armor Classcord. Under solemn oath before the Essence of the Fire Elemental Plane, representatives of both realms—Fire Titan Great Sultan and Emperor Kai Xiusu of the Ember Empire—sealed the Pact.
1. The Fire Titan Realm would provide the Empire of Ashen with twenty-five Wishes per year, for at least ten years.
2. The Fire Titan Realm would pay five million Golden Nael in the form of Elemental Ore, to purchase vast quantities of Weapons.
3. The Fire Titan Realm would relinquish control of the City of Iron and Black Iron City, and cease all aggression against the Bronze Fortress.
The Great Sultan, furious, unleashed his Projection Explosion upon the ground, carving a hundred-meter-wide Deep Pit into the earth. Yet his True Form remained hidden within his Charcoal Palace, recuperating from wounds.
Pasha Ismael of the Fire Titans stood slumped, his head bowed in defeat. With his soldiers, he retreated back to the City of Brass.
As was tradition after a loss, the Pasha faced the wrath of the Sultan—and the challenges of ambitious Fire Giant warriors eager to claim his position.
Though officials tightly censored the news, the truth of the battle spread like wildfire through the Fire Titan Realm. Fear gripped the empire. Within days, the Battle of the Scorching Wasteland had become legend—rumors reaching even the Holy Flame Uprising.
In these tales, the Red Dragon Emperor from the Material Plane had devoured Pasha Ismael’s head in a single bite. Only when the Great Sultan arrived did Ismael manage to Respawn and escape.
After secret, undisclosed negotiations—after a price too great to name—the two sides finally reached a Truce. Some whispered that the Great Sultan had paid one hundred Wishes per year to rid himself of this cursed presence.
And so, Kai Xiusu’s name now echoed through the Inner Planes.
Residents of the Fire, Wind, Water, Earth, Positive Energy, and Negative Energy planes had heard it—especially those who remembered the dreaded title: The Soul-Eating Dragon.

Outside Black Iron City, in the scorched Wasteland—once a battlefield—the land was shattered. Cracks and craters riddled the earth, molten magma bubbling within, erupting in sudden bursts of fire.
“Roar—!”
The Red Dragon raised his head and let loose a thunderous Long Roar. With a mighty sweep, he unfurled his Wings and extended his left claw.
The Essence of the Fire Elemental Plane surged toward him. Flames spiraled through the air, coalescing into a complex Rune Array upon his palm.
[Summoning Elemental Energy Behemoth]
A Flame Vortex erupted in midair. From its core, a monstrous being—over ten meters tall—clambered forth. It let out a deep growl, then bowed low before Kai Xiusu.
Its body was forged from living fire and molten lava, every fiber pulsing with violent Elemental Energy. One breath from it could reduce a mortal city to Ash Ruins.

“Not bad,” Kai Xiusu murmured, eyeing the beast with approval. He flicked his claw, and the creature vanished into thin air.
He lowered his head, staring at the crimson flame dancing in his palm—the tiniest fragment of the Fire Elemental Plane’s Authority.
After days of trial and error, he had mastered this power—this strength drawn not from Ismael Pasha alone, but from the Fire Titan Great Sultan himself.
He could now feel its Essence—the semi-divine power that shaped the Elemental Plane.
The Elemental Sovereigns did not rule their realms with true Divine Power. Their Authority was limited, a watchful stewardship over their domain. But the gap between that and full divinity? Merely a breath apart.
The Great Sultan’s plan—Kai Xiusu realized—was to claim the entire Fire Elemental Plane under his own rule, elevating his Authority to the level of the plane itself.
It was a vision eerily similar to his own.
And those six Pashas? They were not merely generals. They were vessels—sacrificial offerings, carefully nurtured for godhood.
The Great Sultan hadn’t even had time to use them. Kai Xiusu had already consumed one.
But even if he hadn’t… the Lord of Flame, the true Sovereign of Fire, would never allow another to lay claim to his Authority.
Balance must be maintained. The War of Burning would rage on for centuries.
There would be no true victor—unless, perhaps, someone like Kai Xiusu, a rogue observer who played the game without playing the rules, reaping all the rewards.
Kai Xiusu grinned, feeling the near-essence of Fire pulse through his veins.
What a delightful surprise. With this strength, I can at least call myself an Elemental Energy Noble, can’t I?
“Fascinating,” he murmured.
The flame in his claw shifted—shaping into a bird, then a fish, then a dragon flapping its wings.
After absorbing this power, his control over fire had become terrifyingly precise.
The Red Dragon already possessed a core of Flame Element, often regarded by scholars as a half-elemental being. Now, after consuming the Pasha’s strength, Kai Xiusu had become, in a sense, a Native of the Fire Elemental Plane.
[Elemental Command]
As an Elemental Master, you may attempt to control any being of your same element. The target must succeed on a Will Save or be completely dominated.
Kai Xiusu’s pale golden eyes flared.
Instantly, the orange sky filled with firebirds, now under his command. They formed perfect lines, patterns, obedient as if born to serve.
In the magma rivers, fire children leapt out—standing in rigid, orderly ranks, as though the Red Dragon were their natural king.
“Hmm… such a beautiful place. If I had a Secure Domain here, I’d love to take a deep sleep.”
“But alas… I’ve sworn a Pact with the Sultan. I must leave the Fire Elemental Plane within ten days.”
“So then… why not experience the Holy Flame Prince before I go?”
With that thought, the Red Dragon spread his wings. A hurricane of ash and ember sparks roared across the scorched wasteland, lifting his massive body into the sky.
“Roar—!”
Another long, echoing cry. With a powerful sweep, the dragon’s body blurred into a Crimson Afterimage, slicing through the peach-hued sky, vanishing into the distance.
On the city walls, Imperial soldiers and free citizens watched in awe as the dragon’s form streaked across the heavens like a falling star.
“Look! Quick!”
“It’s King Kai Xiusu!”
“Is it true? Has the Emperor truly left the Fire Elemental Plane?”
“Oh, glorious Red Dragon…”
Grief and longing spread across the walls. Soldiers and citizens alike dropped to their knees, murmuring prayers—pleas to the heavens.
Inside Black Iron City, Selkan paused mid-command, his eyes lifting toward the distant sky. He clenched his fist and struck his chest with a thunderous thud, offering the full, traditional “Loyalty” salute.
His eyes burned with resolve and emotion.
“King Kai Xiusu…”
“I will not betray your trust. I will become a worthy Colonial Governor. I will build a firm stronghold in the Fire Elemental Plane—so that when you return, you may claim mastery over this realm.”
“And then… you will be the Master of the Fire Elemental Plane.”
