Chapter 465: Arrival at Fishman Island
Chapter 465: Arrival at Fishman Island
Standing slightly behind Feng Ye, to his left and right, were Hancock and Robin. At this moment, the atmosphere between them was surprisingly harmonious.
Gazing at the sunlight dancing on the ocean's surface, the mist of the Devil's Triangle seemed to part before them, and bathed in the warm glow, they felt their souls filled with a soft, golden light.
Looking at Feng Ye, standing there with his blue cloak draped casually over his shoulders, slowly lowering his hand, a single thought flowed through the minds of the two women.
Meeting Feng Ye was indeed a stroke of immense fortune.
To have their paths cross with his, from strangers to companions, the distance between them shrinking from far to near and then to none, there could be no greater happiness.
"Is something the matter?"
Feng Ye turned his head, a gentle smile on his face as he looked towards Robin and Hancock, standing just behind him. By now, the two women should no longer be overwhelmed by his power.
Hancock and Robin quickly composed themselves, meeting Feng Ye's gentle gaze, and were about to respond when they saw a sudden realization dawn on his face.
"Ah, that's right, there's one more thing..."
Feng Ye withdrew his gaze from the two women and said, "Wait here for a moment, I'll be right back."
Swoosh!!
With that, his figure flickered and disappeared from the deck.
Moments later, a black rift appeared, and Feng Ye stepped back onto the deck of the Ohara.
Hancock and Robin turned to him in unison, a questioning look in their eyes, curious about where he had just been.
They also noticed immediately that he now held a black sword, one that exuded an air of rarity and value.
"What is that...?"
Robin asked, a hint of hesitation in her voice.
Feng Ye gently drew the sword, glanced at the blade, and then sheathed it, a soft smile on his face. "This is the national treasure of Wano Country, the black blade 'Shuusui'. Before we visited Wano, it was stolen by Gekko Moriah, along with the corpse of the swordsman, Ryuma. I thought I'd bring it back while I was there."
"So this is the famous Shuusui."
Robin looked at the sword in Feng Ye's hand, no stranger to the tale of the swordsman Ryuma and his renowned blade. The story of Ryuma the swordsman was an important part of Wano Country's history.
Ryuma was not only Wano Country's Sword Saint but also a figure renowned throughout the world. In his time, he had not only slain a dragon with a single strike but had also single-handedly kept the World Government from invading Wano Country!
Neither the CP0 nor the Navy of that time could defeat Ryuma, and no one could invade Wano!
"Mmm... It still has a very strong sword intent."
Feng Ye nodded slightly and began walking towards the ship's cabin. "If Ryuma hadn't dedicated his life to guarding Wano and instead sailed the seas, he would have undoubtedly earned the title of the World's Greatest Swordsman during that period. He is somewhat worthy of respect as a swordsman."
Coming from anyone else, the last comment about Ryuma would undoubtedly be considered rude, but when Feng Ye said it, it somehow didn't feel out of place.
Hancock and Robin also felt it was natural, for in this world, very few could earn Feng Ye's acknowledgment.
"I'll go prepare lunch now."
Hancock followed Feng Ye into the ship's cabin.
...
Around the same time, on the other side of the split Devil's Triangle, in a dark courtyard within the massive Thriller Bark.
"What's going on?!?"
Gekko Moriah's figure appeared in the distance, his voice carrying as he shouted even before he arrived.
He had been sleeping soundly and having a pleasant dream when a loud noise startled him awake, leaving him in a foul mood.
Soon enough, he reached the courtyard and took in the chaotic scene—zombies lying scattered across the ground.
Two of the Three Weirdoes, Absalom and Perona, stood at a distance. Absalom was frozen in place like a statue, while Perona seemed to have been frightened, still breathing heavily as if she hadn't recovered from the shock.
Absalom, still rigid from shock, managed to regain his composure and replied stiffly to Moriah, "Moriah... the corpse of the swordsman, Ryuma, has been destroyed, and his weapon has been taken away..."
Moriah's eyes widened, and he bared his fangs in rage, shouting, "Damn it! Who did this? Where are they?! How dare they destroy my powerful zombie soldiers! I'll make them pay!"
A trace of fear flashed in Absalom's eyes, and he hesitated as he said, "If... if I'm not mistaken, that person should be... the Four Emperors of the New World, the Traveler!"
The air suddenly turned quiet.
Moriah's movements froze.
Perona flew over, her eyes still carrying a hint of tremor as she whispered, "It's him... that man..."
After stiffening for a few seconds, Moriah clenched his fists and said, "Damn that Traveler for destroying my zombie soldiers... But since he's gone, let it be. I'll make him pay the next time we meet!"
Perona looked at him and said, "Lord Moriah..."
"Hmm?" Moriah replied.
Perona said softly, "You're actually scared too, aren't you?"
Moriah glared at her and said, "How could I possibly be scared! Now, shut up! Clean this mess up!"
Perona covered her mouth.
She turned her head to look at Absalom, who was standing not far away.
Both of them could clearly see that Moriah was slightly trembling, but they wisely kept quiet. It wasn't until Moriah left that they breathed a sigh of relief.
The two glanced at each other, neither commenting on Moriah's fear, as they both understood. Moriah had once been defeated by Kaido of the Hundred Beasts, and Feng Ye was the man who had killed Kaido!
He was also one of the Four Emperors!
The most terrifying man on these seas!
Perona calmed her racing heart and raised her head to look into the distance, a faint gleam in her eyes as she recalled the man from earlier. "But that man... he's so handsome..."
...
The incident in the Devil's Triangle was but a small interlude.
The Ohara sailed smoothly through the Devil's Triangle and continued its journey towards the islands ahead.
By now, the Navy had long discovered the Ohara but had not initiated a pursuit, acting as if they had never received any intelligence about the ship.
The Ohara sailed without hindrance and completed the last few islands of the first half of the Grand Line, arriving at the endpoint, Shambo Island.
"Should we go and greet Rayleigh and the others?"
Robin stood on the deck and looked at Feng Ye beside her as she asked.
Feng Ye shook his head and smiled, "No need, we'll do it next time. For now, let's head straight to Fishman Island, which we didn't visit before."
"Mmm."
Robin nodded.
Feng Ye took a light step forward, and the entire ship sank beneath the waves under his control. It descended into the sea and began to dive deeper, surrounded by the animated seawater monster that coated the ship in a protective layer. Feng Ye lowered his hand and watched as the ship gradually sank into the depths.
As the surrounding seawater transformed from blue to darkness and finally to pitch-black, the depth increased.
Moments later, light reappeared in the waters below.
A beautiful and fantastical island, like a dream world, came into view. It was encased in a massive bubble, floating in the depths of the ocean.
Fishman Island!
