Chapter 461: God Enel
Chapter 461: God Enel
The Sky Island girls, led by Luo Ya, struggled to catch their breath and calm the unnatural blush on their faces. They gazed at Feng Ye with fearful eyes as he approached.
"We're sorry... We didn't mean to intrude," they stammered.
Although they didn't understand why the ropes on this ship seemed alive and moving, they now realized that they must have trespassed onto someone else's ship, which is why those ropes had restrained them.
Feng Ye offered a casual smile and replied, "It's fine. But be more careful in the future. Not every ship can be boarded safely."
This gentle smile left Luo Ya and the others momentarily stunned.
As they gazed at his gentle countenance and those starry eyes that shimmered with a hint of blue, a flush crept across their cheeks.
Before they could say anything more, Feng Ye waved his right hand, channeling his power to envelop the girls and gently lift them into the air. He arced through the sky and set them down on the shore.
Luo Ya and her companions were still a little dazed as they stood on the beach once more, but they soon regained their composure. Their eyes turned back to the ship that Feng Ye had arrived on.
Their minds replayed the image of his previous smile.
So absorbed were they that they didn't even notice the waves lapping at their feet, soaking their already damp clothes with the mist of White-White Sea.
After seeing Luo Ya and the other Sky Island girls safely back to shore, Feng Ye turned and called out to the cabin, "Han Cook, we've arrived at Sky Island."
"Mhm..."
Hearing Feng Ye's voice, Han Cook replied affirmatively. She stepped out of her bath, quickly changed into some clothes, and left the cabin.
As Han Cook joined Feng Ye on the deck, he had already made his way onto the beach, admiring the view of Sky Island in the distance. Nico Robin was talking to Luo Ya and the other girls, gathering information about the island.
Han Cook casually leaned against Feng Ye, taking his left hand in hers, and gazed at the drifting clouds in the distance. "What a beautiful sight."
"Mhm," Feng Ye nodded. "Sky Island and Fish-Man Island are probably the most dreamlike places. As for Donquixote Doflamingo's Dressrosa and Big Mom's Cake Island, they exude a fairy tale vibe. These islands are definitely worth visiting."
Feng Ye smiled.
Han Cook leaned gently against him, not saying a word.
In truth, she didn't particularly care about the destinations as long as she could be by Feng Ye's side. And it would be even better if Nico Robin wasn't there to get in the way.
"Let's go take a look around the island," Feng Ye suggested, turning away from the view and facing the island behind them. He called out to Robin.
"Yes, sir," Robin replied, producing several strings of jewels and offering them to Luo Ya and the others with a smile. "Thank you for your help. These are for you."
The jewels, precious in the Blue Sea, were even more valuable on Sky Island, where even soil was a precious commodity, let alone jewels born from the earth.
"Th... thank you..." Luo Ya and the others exclaimed, their faces lit up with delight.
In their excitement, Noreti hesitated for a moment before frantically searching her own body. Finally, she produced a shell and handed it to Robin. "Please accept this."
"What is this?" Robin asked, taking the shell and looking at it curiously.
"And here's mine!"
Luo Ya and the others quickly searched for valuable items on their persons and presented them to Robin. In addition to the Vibrating Shell, there were also Impact Shells, Flavor Shells, and Airflow Shells, among others.
Robin accepted these shells curiously and offered another friendly smile to Luo Ya and her companions. "Thank you for your gifts."
Luo Ya hesitated for a moment before cautiously asking, "Um, do you need a guide?"
"We're not very familiar with Sky Island..."
Before Robin could answer, Feng Ye, who had walked over with Han Cook, smiled at Luo Ya and said, "Then we'd be glad to have your help. We'll make sure your compensation is satisfactory."
Luo Ya's cheeks turned a shade of unnatural pink as she looked at Feng Ye, waving her hands in refusal. "No, no, what you gave before is more than enough."
"Please take care of us."
Robin smiled gently at Luo Ya.
Luo Ya politely bowed to Robin before leading Feng Ye and the others toward the island.
...
Not far from the coast, on a watchtower, a Sky Island man in uniform lowered his telescope and picked up a communication shell. He pressed a button and reported, "This is the White Beret unit, West Coast Watchtower 7. We have spotted three Blue Sea people landing. Report complete."
"Received," came a deep voice from the other end.
On the other end of the communication shell was one of the four priests, a man carrying a large sword, who served under Enel.
About a year ago, Enel had arrived on this island and defeated its original ruler, 'God Ganfall,' establishing his rule.
Since then, Enel had modified many of the laws and regulations of Sky Island, making it easy for Blue Sea visitors to inadvertently break the rules. He then imposed various punishments on them to intimidate and control the Sky Island residents.
In the past six months, this strategy had proven highly effective.
After dealing with over a dozen Blue Sea visitors who had arrived during that time, the Sky Island residents now feared Enel's rule and dared not defy him.
After hanging up the communication shell, the priest, Ohm, picked up another shell to notify the others to prepare for the execution.
However, just as he was about to do so, a hand reached out and stopped his action. Surprised, he turned to see who it was.
"Lord Enel?!"
"No need to notify anyone."
Enel was crouching on the armrest of a chair, his left pinky finger in his ear as if sensing something. He then made a peculiar sound, "Hmm," and a curious expression appeared on his face.
He lowered his hand and revealed a bizarre smile. "I sense... an incredibly powerful presence!"
Ohm was taken aback.
He knew that Enel's 'Mind Network' could cover almost the entire Sky Island, allowing him to sense the actions of every resident. But he had never heard Enel mention sensing a powerful presence before.
"Lord Enel..."
"It seems the Blue Sea people who have arrived this time are not ordinary. It's been a while since I've felt this sort of excitement."
Enel's smile grew wider, and then, in an instant, he vanished into thin air, leaving only a faint arc of electricity where he had been standing.
