Chapter 461: Fudge's Concerns
Chapter 461: Fudge's Concerns
In the next half hour, the top box gradually filled with people.
Mr. Weasley continuously shook hands with people, who were obviously high-ranking wizards. Percy repeatedly stood up hurriedly, as if a row of porcupine quills had suddenly sprouted on his stool.
The last person to enter was Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge, and everyone stood up to greet him. However, Fudge made an unexpected move.
He walked towards the front row as if he had seen an old friend, and he reached out from a distance.
Percy was overjoyed.
The adults were on the other side, and there were only a few children here.
Bill and Charlie were abroad, and the others were still studying at Hogwarts, except for him, who was working at the Ministry of Magic.
Could it be...
Percy's heart began to pound, and he instinctively bowed and extended his hand. Because he bent over too low, his glasses fell to the ground.
However, in the next second, Fudge walked past him as if he were an inconspicuous sculpture or a telephone booth on the side of the road, not even glancing at him.
"Oh, Kyle, it's great to see you here."
Fudge naturally placed his hand on Kyle's shoulder and patted it vigorously, showing more enthusiasm than he had with the others.
"How was your holiday?" he asked kindly.
"It was great," Kyle replied, nodding in realization. "The Quidditch World Cup is really exciting."
"Yes, I specifically kept a ticket for you, but Arthur got to it first," he joked, glancing at Mr. Weasley.
Mr. Weasley didn't know what to say and could only stiffly pull at the corners of his mouth.
When he went to ask Ludo Bagman for tickets, he had mentioned Kyle's name, but the other party had never mentioned this.
"But on second thought."
Fudge continued, "I've been waiting for Albus's owl during my holiday, but you didn't write me a single letter.
Do you know what he's been up to lately? And that potion... I think you must know what I'm talking about. It can bring that rat back, right?"
Potion?
Kyle quickly figured it out. The potion Fudge was referring to was probably the Resurrection Potion that could restore Peter Pettigrew's Animagus transformation.
No wonder he was so enthusiastic.
Due to this Quidditch World Cup, Crouch's international reputation had risen significantly, which probably made Fudge feel a sense of crisis.
"Don't worry, Minister," Kyle said with a smile after figuring out these things. "As far as I know, the Resurrection Potion was brewed a month ago, and there's a big pot of it. It's all been used on that rat, so there's no problem."
"Then I'm relieved. Albus has never made a mistake," said Fudge, and then he straightened his face. "You should have contacted me. I think I mentioned it before that in this matter, I personally will represent the Ministry of Magic and do my best to help you."
"Perhaps Professor Dumbledore didn't want to bother you," said Kyle. "Organizing a match with the participation of a hundred thousand wizards is not an easy task."
"Albus is really something," Fudge said, feigning displeasure. "Although there have been quite a few things recently, I've always kept time for him. To wait for his owl, I even turned down several important meetings."
"Meetings? It should be banquets," Kyle thought to himself, but on the surface, he remained as usual, even condemning Dumbledore's inconsiderate behavior with Fudge.
This made Fudge look even happier.
Then he introduced Kyle to the Bulgarian Minister of Magic beside him, who was wearing a gorgeous golden-trimmed swan robe, but he seemed to not understand a word Fudge was saying.
Fudge kept talking and gesturing, but Roberts still didn't understand what he meant by "the youngest member of the Order of Merlin."
However, as he turned to look at this side, his gaze inadvertently fell on Harry's forehead.
He immediately excitedly pointed at the scar with his finger and muttered a string of words.
"Oh, yes, Potter..." Fudge walked over and held Harry's hand like a kind father, "You must know that he's the boy who escaped death from the Dark Lord."
The Bulgarian Minister of Magic said something again.
But not a single person present could understand, and Harry was even more confused. He didn't even know how he had been pulled over.
"I'm not very good with languages," Fudge whispered next to Harry and Kyle. "In situations like this, we usually need Bartemius Crouch. Ah, but he's not here right now. But I saw his house-elf reserve a seat for him, so thoughtful... Ah, Lucius is here."
Three more people entered the box. Lucius Malfoy, Draco, and a woman.
"Ah, Minister Fudge," Lucius walked over and extended his hand, "Hello, this is my wife Narcissa, and our son, Draco."
"Hello, hello," Fudge smiled and nodded to Mrs. Malfoy, while also introducing them to the Bulgarian Minister of Magic.

However, due to the language barrier, the atmosphere was a bit awkward.
But at this moment, Malfoy suddenly noticed Mr. Weasley standing beside them.
"My goodness, Arthur," he said as if he had seen something unbelievable, "What did you sell to get this top box seat? Your possessions certainly aren't worth that much money, right?"
"I almost forgot that we're old acquaintances," Fudge smiled and said, "Lucius recently donated a large sum to St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, Arthur. He's my invited guest."
"Oh... Great," Mr. Weasley forced a smile.
Lucius's gaze shifted to Hermione, and he whispered something to the woman beside him.
Narcissa Malfoy immediately showed a disgusted expression, as if she had smelled something unpleasant.
She had the same reaction when she saw Shiny earlier, as if in her eyes, Muggle-born Hermione held the same status as a house-elf.
However, under the watchful eyes of the Minister of Magic, they didn't dare to say anything out of line, and they walked to their seats without a word.
Draco wanted to come over and greet Kyle, but Narcissa stopped him, and Lucius stood by, not interfering.
"Annoying guy," Ron muttered. He, Harry, and Hermione turned their attention back to the field, using the newly purchased binoculars to observe the crowd on the other side of the stadium.
Then, Ludo Bagman rushed into the box.
"Is everyone ready?" He said, his round face shining like a giant ball of cheese, "Minister... Can we start?"
"You say start, and it starts, Ludo," Fudge said amicably, "I'm already eager to watch an exciting match."
"I won't disappoint you."
Ludo drew his wand and pointed at his throat, saying, "Sonorous." Then his words thundered like a peal of thunder, echoing throughout the packed stadium.
In an instant, only his voice remained.
"Ladies and gentlemen... Welcome to the event!"
