Chapter 46: Who died
The adults in the room looked at each other. "What's the name?"

"Maxwell ".
Tina looked at Alex. " Do you know any Maxwells?"

"Be specific. There are many people bearing that name in the world. And why are you asking me? It's not like I know many people anyway ".

"I don't think the name Maxwell is very common ".

" Do you know you're contradicting yourself? The way you said 'Maxwell ', anyone would think that you meant many people had that name ".

" What I meant and what I said are the same ".

"Just like with Bruce?"

"Don't bring Bruce into this ".

" Um, sorry to interrupt a lovers' spat but is this conversation still about me?", Allison asked, looking at the two of them.
Tina tore her eyes away from Alex's. " Sorry, Allison. It's just that your teacher can rile me up at times. So, this Maxwell guy, what kind of feeling did you get from hearing his name? "

" As in?"

"Familiarity, enemies, siblings, you know, those feelings ".

" It's definitely not boyfriend. That would be so weird because it would be like I cheated on him. But I got this 'friends for a long time ' kind of feeling. Like childhood friends. I heard my own voice call his name. It sounded angry but playful anger. But I'm not sure if this is helpful".

" What do you mean? “, Tina asked. She reached out and grabbed Allison's hands then continued. " It helps a lot. At least now we know you've got a childhood friend. That destroys your theory of you killing everyone from where you came from".

" Let's say I have a childhood friend and we grew up together. What has he been doing all these years? I mean, it's been three years, Tina. If we were that close, he should have been looking for me or maybe I wasn't that important ".

"But doesn't this all sound weird to you Tina? She remembered name after touching a wolf which may or may not be from around these parts ", Alex chipped in.
Tina slapped Alex on the shoulder. "Hey! Don't dampen her hopes. It's certainly weird but that's not our main concern right now. She remembered a name. That should mean something. "
Allison turned to Alex and asked a question that had nothing to do with the situation at hand. "Who died?"

" I'll be down the hall if you need me", Tina said and she quickly kissed Alex goodbye.
