Chapter 46: Alpha Dog, Hail the Lord!
Chapter 46: Alpha Dog, Hail the Lord!
"All below Warrior General level, leave!"
"Don't make me repeat myself!"
Jiang Zhe's cold gaze swept the courtyard. No one dared defy his command as Elder Jiang's entourage of delicate beauties filed out. Only one girl remained, her small fists clenched, lips bitten raw. As her companions departed, she stood alone, trembling yet defiant.
Jiang Zhe's voice cut through the silence. "Who are you? Why stay?"
"I-I'm Lei Lei, fifteen years old. I came to build a foundation at the Jiang Family Martial Gym", the girl declared, meeting his gaze with stubborn courage.
Steward Wu stepped forward, but Jiang Zhe raised a hand to stop him. He needed no reminder - the name alone told him everything.
Lei Shen's daughter.
The poor girl whose boyfriend had been killed for stealing her heart.
She couldn't be dismissed like the rest. But taking on a child wasn't in his plans. "Uncle, take her to Sisi. Let her train under my sister for now."
As Steward Wu led Lei Lei away, Jiang Zhe turned to the remaining martial artists - core members of the HR Union, hardened military officers, scions of Legislators and War God bloodlines, and a few self-taught prodigies approved by Elder Jiang.
"All equal", he announced. "Now, choose - Mentalist techniques to the left, Martial Artist striking arts to the right."
A young man snapped a salute. "Teacher, what if we wish to master both?"
Jiang Zhe's eyes narrowed. "You think I haven't considered that? Follow orders now!"
Katlan, the renowned Stronkaiser-tier Mentalist, surprised everyone by moving right. Some whispered doubts about rejecting Earth's greatest Mentalist, but Jiang Zhe's approving glance at the veteran only deepened the mystery.
No time for speculation. Jiang Zhe activated his Neural Analyzer, causing sweat to bead on brows. "Brain Domain Width: 7!" he read. "Next! 5!... 9!... 13 - impressive, near Katlan's range, but still not suited for Mentalist training."
Earthlings' weak bloodlines struggled with Genetic Primordial Energy. Mental Energy accumulation was even slower. Without nutrient solutions, most would waste decades chasing mediocrity. Better to switch to Martial Arts, gain Stellar-Level longevity first.
Those below 10 Bdw reluctantly joined the Martial Artists. The top three received Neural Link bracelets granting access to Orianna's Virtual Space - and Jiang Zhe's newly compiled Mentalist Foundations: 81 Techniques, far superior to any existing manual.
"Warrior Generals with power below 2, leave! Stronkaisers below 3, go! Mentalists stay regardless!"
Twenty-three remained - four War Gods, nineteen Generals, all under thirty. Earth's true elite.
After distributing basic Neural Links, Jiang Zhe dismissed them. The Virtual Space's AI would guide their studies of Tiger Form 1.0, its 3x power amplification forming the foundation for speed, strength, and defense meeting universal standards. Advanced versions would follow.
Back inside, Orianna absorbed a B-Class metal core into her chest reactor - her unique cultivation method. These stellar metals, stolen from the Mechanical Race Immortal's stores for the Zweika Insect Clan, had barely been touched in millennia.
Jiang Zhe grinned. Selling even common B-Class metals at 1-10 Black Dragon Coins per ton could fund his interstellar ambitions. C-Class Wuyium fetched 3,000 coins per ton, while rare Liquium commanded 160 million!
Orianna's thefts wouldn't go unnoticed forever. The World Bracelet's Sentient AI needed elimination. Good thing she'd finally cracked its security after a month's work.
In his cultivation chamber, Jiang Zhe practiced the Nine Fundamental Techniques - condense, bend, scatter, pierce, flow, forge, dance, illusion, merge.
Meanwhile, the initiates explored their Virtual Halls. Initial scoffs at "only" 3x amplification turned to stunned confusion as they struggled with the dense, intricate manuals. Hours later, they stumbled into training facilities, discovering the manuals' true value.
At dusk, Orianna waited in the living room. A glowing mechanical hound materialized from a palm-sized device on the table.
"Sentient AI, Alpha Dog, hail the Lord!"
Jiang Zhe blinked. "You brought it to play chess with me?"
Orianna linked their consciousnesses to the Virtual Space. A map the size of a city block materialized.
"Bracelet Inner World's diameter?" Jiang Zhe asked.
"Nearly ten billion kilometers", Alpha Dog intoned.
