Chapter 458: Three's Company
Chapter 458: Three's Company
What was the allure of a nineteen-year-old Hancock?
Having only recently become the Empress of Amazon Lily, she carried an air of youthful immaturity beneath her imperial dignity. Coupled with her infatuation with Feng Ye, she exuded a girlish charm that only surfaced when she was in his presence—a charm as delicate as the petals of a blooming flower.
Even Feng Ye couldn't help but marvel at how adorable Hancock remained, almost unchanged from a few years ago, not to mention the captivating allure she now possessed.
Feng Ye had always relished the feeling of being admired, especially by a charming and captivating young woman like Hancock. Otherwise, he wouldn't have allowed the girls around him to get away with their excessive antics.
In a ship's cabin, within a private room...
"So, you came all the way to the East Blue because you heard I was here?" Feng Ye sat beside a small table, listening to Hancock's explanation, a soft laugh escaping his lips. Though he had already guessed as much, hearing it from her still amused him.
The saying that a lovestruck girl's IQ drops to zero seemed to ring true.
The East Blue was far vaster than the Grand Line, with countless islands dotting its expanse. Amazon Lily was also a place where information flowed slowly, so trying to find him here was akin to searching for a needle in a haystack—a typically 'reckless' move for Hancock.
"Was it a bit too impulsive...?" Hancock asked, her gaze slightly evasive.
If Feng Ye hadn't shown up when he did, her impulsive actions might have led to unpleasant consequences, like being arrested and imprisoned by the Navy.
Feng Ye chuckled. "Indeed, a little bit."
Hancock, who had never shown a hint of timidity even in front of the giant rabbit, now averted her eyes from Feng Ye. "Um..." she murmured.
Before Hancock could voice her question, Feng Ye smiled and preempted her, "I find it adorable. If humans were overly rational, we'd be no different from machines."
"Mmhmm," Hancock agreed, her eyes sparkling as she nodded obediently, gazing at Feng Ye.
Feng Ye sat up straighter, picking up a peach from the table and taking a bite. "So... what are your plans now? I'll be leaving soon."
"Are you continuing your journey?" Hancock asked.
"Yes," Feng Ye nodded calmly.
After a brief hesitation, Hancock looked at him with a hint of hope in her eyes. "Can I come with you on your journey?"
Sanda Sonia and Marygold, who were not far away, were both taken aback, unable to hold back their surprise. "Big sister, what about Amazon Lily...?" they asked.
Hancock didn't even glance at her two younger sisters. Her eyes, sparkling with anticipation, remained fixed on Feng Ye as she replied without turning her head, "Those things aren't important. You two can just choose another Emperor."
Sanda Sonia and Marygold's mouths twitched. Was the position of Emperor of Amazon Lily something that could be chosen so casually?!
Feng Ye pondered for a few seconds. Images of Hancock and Robin getting along 'harmoniously' flashed through his mind, and he took another bite of the peach before speaking. "My journey ahead might take several years. Are you sure you want to come along?"
"Yes!" Hancock replied without the slightest hesitation.
Then, after a moment's pause, she lowered her voice and asked, "Are there... any other people on your ship?"
"Robin is on board," Feng Ye replied with a soft laugh.
Hancock's expression stiffened slightly, but then her eyes lit up with realization, and her gaze turned even more determined. "If it's just the two of you, you'll definitely encounter a lot of inconveniences during your voyage. I can help out a lot," she said softly.
Inconveniences weren't really an issue, but if there was one thing that could be considered inappropriate, it was the calm and uneventful voyage with just him and Robin.
"Since that's what you desire, come and travel with me."
Feng Ye set down the peach in his hand, flashed a smile at Hancock, then stood up and turned to Sanda Sonia and the others. "Take care of the matters on Kuja Island; just maintain the status quo... As for other issues, you can display my emblem above your flag; that should spare you most troubles."
"Thank you, savior."
Sanda Sonia and Marygold understood the significance of Feng Ye's emblem and immediately bowed to express their gratitude.
As for Hancock, seeing her current state, Sanda Sonia and Marygold couldn't help but sigh inwardly.
Feng Ye thought for a moment, then reached out with his hand.
A surge of chakra gathered in his palm, forming a glass ball. He casually tossed it to Sanda Sonia. "If you encounter any troubles you can't handle, break this."
Since he possessed spatial abilities and could travel to any place he had marked, Feng Ye never bothered with communication devices like Den Den Mushi. His method was much more convenient.
"Yes." Sanda Sonia caught the glass ball, her expression turning serious as she held it tightly and acknowledged Feng Ye's instruction.
Feng Ye turned to Hancock and said, "You should also go and bid farewell to your subordinates..."
He paused for a moment, then an idea came to mind, and he asked Sanda Sonia and the others, "By the way, what do you think about moving Kuja Island to the vicinity of Wano Country in the New World?"
Sanda Sonia briefly considered it. "Leaving their homeland might be hard for many to accept."
Feng Ye shook his head. "No, it's not about leaving their homeland. I mean moving the entire island there."
A brief silence filled the air.
Sanda Sonia: "...Then that's fine."
Half a day later.
Feng Ye first returned the Kuja Island ship to Kuja Island, then lifted the entire island and transported it to the edge of the Calm Belt, very close to Wano Country.
For the residents of Kuja Island, they barely felt any significant changes, except for the initial shock of the island being moved. They now held a sense of awe for the immense power Feng Ye had displayed.
Also, due to the display of his overwhelming power, when they learned that Hancock liked Feng Ye and intended to travel with him, many people weren't surprised at all.
Only a man as powerful as Feng Ye could be worthy of their empress, and all the female warriors shared this belief.
...
East Blue.
On the Ohara.
Robin was quietly reading a book in the living room, wearing only a purple shirt. She lay sideways on the sofa, her long, slender legs crossed and her pale ankles extending beyond the edge of the sofa.
At that moment, she stopped reading and turned her head to look at the left side of the living room, where a pitch-black rift had appeared. Feng Ye stepped out from within.
"...'"
Upon seeing Feng Ye's return, Robin didn't avert her gaze but narrowed her eyes slightly, looking past Feng Ye at the rift that hadn't disappeared yet.
Hancock followed Feng Ye out of the rift and immediately spotted Robin lying on the sofa.
Nothing happened.
"Long time no see."
Robin sat up, closed her book, and offered a kind smile as she greeted Hancock.
