Chapter 458: Let's Cut Them Down Together! (10k) (Part 2)
Chapter 458: Let's Cut Them Down Together! (10k) (Part 2)
In the underworld, Governor Sag's rules were the rules.
The Fanco Brothers were among the most ruthless, often beating people to a pulp or even to death, resulting in the highest debt collection rate, as Urki often mentioned.
"Leave it to us!"
Kelly boasted, "If we stand out at this grand event, Governor Sag will notice us and promote us to executive positions, just like you, Stanson!"
If they could get their hands on the Burn Burn Fruit, they might even make it to the Seven Stars or higher, to the Triphaze position!
...
One hour later.
Dressrosa's Royal Palace.
"Hmm? No orders, so we're temporarily closed? Who told you that? Keep manufacturing, and let Donquixote Doflamingo foot the bill. We'll deal with it later."
"Crocodile? Doflamingo stopped him? Give him a portion; I've already said we shouldn't rely on any single channel. Let Link handle the rest."
"Has Partina started moving? Why are they only acting now, after all this time? Send Ganbaru to help, and give Leonardo a lesson while you're there. He's been too negligent!"
Snap.
After speaking, Lily hung up the small talking cricket and continued walking with Monet, who was guiding her.
"Vice-Captain Lily, even on vacation, you're still working. It's admirable," Monet smiled.
"As the secretary, you should know that the boss doesn't handle many things; they're left to the subordinates. Also, I'm not the Vice-Captain. Lord Sag doesn't share power with others; I'm merely acting on his behalf. If you join us in the future, remember that." Lily said calmly.
Monet paused, then turned back, "You still think the Young Master will lose?"
"Win or lose, it's his choice, but there's always a price to pay. We're short-staffed, especially in administration. Monet, Lord Sag likes you very much. Don't disappoint him."
As Lily spoke, she walked forward a distance and suddenly stopped, looking towards the depths of the side corridor.
Monet also looked over, saying, "Vice-Captain Lily, that's our family's secret area."
A red dot flashed in Lily's eyes, and she said, "The Little People? Our factory has the scent of the Little People, but you're also holding one here, Mansherry?"
"Vice-Captain Lily..."
Monet broke into a sweat and bowed, "Please don't make it difficult for us."
Lily glanced at her, "You're not yet qualified to make me choose. Let her out. We also have Little People loyal to us, and Lord Sag is very interested in her abilities."
The Little People also served on the sub-island of the main city, and from them, Lily had long known about Mansherry's existence.
The power of the Healing Fruit was incredibly useful.
"The Young Master..."
"He disrupted our deal. Do you know how many things I had to rearrange because of the delay?"
Lily pointed at the talking cricket still in her hand, "The first day or two were fine, but it's been several days, and Doflamingo hasn't resolved this yet. Our factory's production can't just cater to the next half-month."
"Other things can be discussed, but now we can't sell weapons and warships. Production without trade for a few days isn't something that can be compensated with just a little bit. Releasing Mansherry as compensation is something Doflamingo should do."
"Vice-Captain Lily, shouldn't we consult Governor Sag and the Young Master about this? After all, they're partners."
"Lord Sag isn't here, so I have the authority to make any decision."
Lily's subordinate pressed down on the sword hilt, her sapphire eyes narrowing slightly, "Or is it that Doflamingo doesn't want to deal with the Straw Hats and wants to face me directly?"
Just pressing down on the sword hilt made Monet subconsciously lower her head, her body trembling uncontrollably.
There was no choice; that killing intent was terrifying!
"Vice-Captain Lily, I don't have the key."
Lily glared at her, not saying a word, and turned towards the corridor, walking straight to the large iron gate of the chapel deep inside. As soon as she stopped, the iron gate burst into several rays of light and crumbled into pieces.
In the dimly lit small room, a Little Person the size of a palm, wearing a white dress, was leaning against the wall by the window, crying with her face covered.
The Little Person had golden curly hair, and her hair and tail, which were the same color as the back, seemed to merge together, looking like her long hair reached down to her legs.
"I want to go back to Green Bit, Leo..."
Mansherry was crying softly, and suddenly, a flash of light appeared, and she instinctively looked up to see a Grand Line Human with even more dazzling golden hair striding in.
"Mansherry?"
"Yes, it's me."
Lily glanced at the Little Person with twinkling big eyes, a smile tugging at her lips, and extended her hand to place Mansherry in her palm, "You're quite cute. Flapper wasn't lying about you."
"Flap, Flapper? Is he here?" Mansherry asked nervously, looking around.
"No, he's in Ohara, a new place different from Green Bit. You'll go there, too, in the future."
Lily laughed, not bothering to see Mansherry's reaction, and kept her in her palm as she walked out.
"Then, then..."
Mansherry, right in the palm of her hand and able to escape at any moment, sat up straight and said timidly, "Aren't you here to save me?"
"Not exactly. You have a fellow Little Person working for us, so we consider you one of us. My Captain is very interested in you, or your abilities."
Lily explained, "But compared to this terrible environment, when you get to Ohara, you'll understand what freedom is. We won't stop you from returning to Green Bit in the future, but Ohara will also be your home."
"But..."
Mansherry wanted to say something, but looking at Lily's beautiful yet cold face, she couldn't bring herself to speak.
Rumble!
Just as she stepped out of the chapel, the surrounding corridors shook.
Lily stopped, furrowing her brows as she looked around, the red dot in her eyes flashing again. She glanced downward in a certain direction but didn't pay it any mind, continuing forward.
"That vibration... it's Pica."
"Is someone invading?" Monet exclaimed in surprise.
"It's already out of control."
Lily looked out the corridor window, where a clear riot was taking place outside.
"So this was Doflamingo's plan? How boring. Let's go, I want to ask Doflamingo about this."
"Yes, please follow me."
Mone noticeably quickened her pace, leading Lily directly to the top level of the palace, where they witnessed Doflamingo being beheaded by a one-legged swordsman.
"Young Master!" Mone exclaimed, and with a flap of her wings, a snowstorm erupted.
The one-legged swordsman endured the harsh cold and struck down Buffalo with a single sword, then knocked down Baby-5, who had transformed her arms into two scythes. He then kicked off his one leg, sliced through the snowstorm, and charged towards Lily, who had just arrived.
"Die!!"
Clang!!
A sudden flash of light appeared at the one-legged swordsman's throat, causing his pupils to constrict. The sword he swung out suddenly bent, blocking his throat and emitting a burst of friction sparks. The impact sent him flying backward, and he fell to the ground.
He quickly raised his upper body, staring in shock at the woman who seemed to have made no movement at all.
Lily glanced around and spotted Rob, sitting on a nearby seat with a horrified expression, and Doflamingo, whose head was now separated from his body, lying motionless. Lily said coldly, "So this was your plan?"
"Rob!"
Just as she finished speaking, a vigorous voice echoed from outside, and Straw Hat Kid, carrying Viola, rushed towards them.
"I'm here to save you!"
"Hey! Don't come over here, run! That's..."
Before Rob could finish, Viola, held by Straw Hat Kid, opened her eyes wide and looked at Lily in the arena with a terrified expression. "Bendata Lily?!"
"Viola!"
Leaning against a wall nearby, an old man dressed as a gladiator exclaimed in surprise.
"Father!" Viola cried out.
Whoosh!
A shadow flashed over, and Lily looked down at the old man. Mansherry was already on her shoulder, and one of her hands had reached for the sword hilt. She said, "So you're King Riku? Doflamingo, this is one of the reasons I don't like you. If you want to rule, whether it's for justice or evil, the most important thing is to eliminate those who claim to have the right to rule."
"Whether they are kings or nobles!"
Swish!
A cold light flashed, slicing towards King Riku III, who was leaning against the wall.
Clang!!
Just as the cold light was activated, a figure rushed in, blocking the descending light with two cold lights.
Two intersecting swords revealed a two-finger-wide blade, almost as bright as white light, to the onlookers.
"It's you!"
Zoro, with his single eye, grinned maliciously. "It's been a while, swordswoman! What are you doing!"
"Roronoa."
Lily pressed her sword blade down, her tone cold. "Lord Sag's deal cannot be disrupted. It's right to eliminate those who bring chaos, like this claimant, beforehand."
"Hey, what are you doing!"
Luffy's voice also sounded from the side, followed by a series of rubber fists.
Lily didn't even look, turning her body and swinging her White Lightning Blade. She added a layer of Haki to it and slashed towards the rubber fists.
"Cyclone Strike."
Ssss!
Several Cyclone Strikes hit Luffy's abdomen, cutting open several wounds. At this moment, Luffy reacted and quickly covered his body with Haki to defend.
"Dual Sword Style - Seventy-Two Worries Gale!"
A spiral-like slash suddenly flew towards Lily, causing her to frown. White Lightning Blade transformed into a vertical flash of light, shattering the incoming slashes. But at this moment, Luffy retracted his arm.
"Dual Sword Style - Second Strike!"
Zoro rushed forward, holding Sandai Kitetsu in one hand and Wado Ichimonji in the other, unleashing high-speed slashes.
"Swordswoman, your opponent is me!"
Zoro's eyes were filled with fighting spirit. "I've always wanted to fight you again!"
Lily, expressionless, drew her sword and advanced. Her blade was as fast as a shadow, clashing with Zoro's two high-speed slashes, creating a series of clanging sounds.
Haki against Haki, speed against speed, and Zoro's unique strength seemed less effective in this high-speed battle.
"Compared to two years ago, you've grown a lot, but..."
The chaotic sword lights suddenly converged and transformed into a high-speed thrust, breaking through the fierce attacks and piercing through.
Clang!
Zoro instinctively tilted his head, raising his dual swords to barely block the thrusting sword tip.
"I've grown even faster!"
Bang!
Lily's sword missed, and she swiftly kicked, her leg lashing like a whip and hitting Zoro's waist, sending him flying into the wall next to King Riku III.
At the same time, her figure vanished, leaving an empty spot where a punch landed.
"Zoro!"
Luffy retracted his fist and rushed over, raising his fists to protect King Riku and Zoro, guarding against Lily.
"I'm not interested in you. Viola already taught you a lesson, but if you insist on coming..."
Lily took a long step forward, crouching down. She assumed a drawing stance, and her White Lightning Blade, now sheathed at her waist, emitted a faint, fleeting blue lightning.
Huff.
A gust of wind, from an unknown source, blew through Lily's dazzling blonde hair. Lily raised her head, and a flash of crimson light passed through her pupils.
"Then let's cut them down together!"
Sizzle!
A bolt of lightning flashed, its thunderous crackle reverberating in an instant.
The lightning strike was so sudden that it didn't allow for any reaction, and it had already reached Luffy's eyes, getting closer and closer.
"Luffy, be careful!"
Zoro suddenly appeared in front of Luffy, not even having the time to draw out Wado Ichimonji. Both of his swords unleashed a spiral of swirling Haki, crossing each other to form a cross and blocking the attack.
At that moment, Luffy's eyes finally glowed with red dots. As the lightning was about to strike, his arms suddenly stretched out. One arm wrapped around Zoro and Riku King, while the other smashed the chair that Law was sitting on, grabbing him by the back of his collar. Simultaneously, he encircled Viola and Cyrus, and his legs expanded, kicking down the wall behind them as he retreated, taking them along.
Hiss!
At the top of the palace, with the flash of lightning, half of the upper structure was smoothly sliced open and flung outside.
One of the two swords that were supposed to block the lightning was also shattered, cleanly broken into two pieces. The other sword, a black blade, fell to the ground.
The white lightning dissipated, and Lily appeared where Luffy had been, coldly watching as they quickly escaped, descending towards the lower levels of the palace.
She glanced at the two swords and said coldly, "Did you buy some time?"
If it weren't for those two swords and the Haki blocking, she could have chopped off their heads in that instant.
"Young Master!"
A stone statue rose from the ground, and Pica appeared in the room, his voice piercing and completely unlike his physical appearance, as he spoke to the beheaded Doflamingo.
"How long do you plan to hide? I didn't bring you here to watch a show, Doflamingo," Lily said coldly.
"Hahahahaha!"
The severed head on the ground laughed, "I didn't expect you to interfere either."
The headless body stood up, its head covered in transparent threads.
Doflamingo appeared on the other side of the headless body, grinning maliciously, "It's just a minor mishap. I can handle it, it's just a little cruel. They've escaped, huh? Well, let's play a game then!"
The headless body suddenly spewed out a large amount of silk threads from its neck, reaching the sky and then scattering around.
Doflamingo revealed an extremely sinister smile, "Sugar fainted, but it doesn't matter. As long as we deal with them, I can rule this country again!"
"Young Master."
Gladius and Pica, who had just arrived, broke out in a cold sweat. They hadn't seen this move in a long time.
Monet, on the other hand, had never seen it before. She and Sugar were adopted after Corazon's death, but that didn't stop her from feeling that the situation was becoming terrifying.
"Cage Threads?"
Lily furrowed her brows, "It's because of your poor rule that things have come to this. Usurping and ruling are two different things."
They wouldn't have this problem. Even if Sage failed, the entire Ohara populace still recognized them.
The Cataclysm Pirates would have to kill everyone in Ohara to eliminate them. Otherwise, they would always have the confidence to try again.
The more Lily witnessed this scene, the more she felt that only Sage was right.
Doflamingo's forehead veins bulged with anger, but he could only suppress his rage and laughed, "Hahahaha, I don't want to argue with you, Lily. This is my business, and I assure you it will be resolved quickly. Just sit back and watch the show."
If anyone else had spoken to him like this, he would have flown into a rage.
But this person was different. Aside from being Sage's most cherished person, her own strength was enough to make others wary.
He had witnessed that sword strike and didn't have the confidence to block it.
This woman's growth was so rapid that it was frightening.
As he spoke, he threw a heart to Monet, "Here's yours."
"Young Master?"
Monet took the heart and looked at him questioningly.
"Green Bit, that brat Law tricked me. He took your heart, thinking it was Caesar's. Never mind, we got it back."
"Just make sure you handle it. You only have one day."
Lily extended a finger, "My tolerance for you only lasts for this day. If you can't get it under control, I'll take over. We've wasted enough time already."
Doflamingo looked up at the expanding Cage Threads and grinned menacingly, "One hour is enough. They can't escape!"
"Buru Buru Buru."
Suddenly, the small Den Den Mushi in Lily's arms rang. She took it out, pressed the button to answer, and the Den Den Mushi immediately formed the image of a solemn man with two black rings around his eyes.
"Lady Lily!"
"Akin? What's wrong?"
"I'm sorry, Sabo from the Revolutionary Army broke through my defenses. Palu couldn't hold him back and has been defeated!"
Huff!
The air currents ruffled Lily's golden hair, and the crimson glow in her eyes intensified, releasing a crimson aura of Haoshoku Haki that enveloped her body and soared into the sky, darkening the heavens.
Even Doflamingo, who had been confident a moment ago, now had a grave expression, with sweat beading on his forehead.
Sugar had fainted, which was annoying, but it could still be remedied.
But the cargo on this side was personally escorted by Lily. If something went wrong, that guy Sage wouldn't blame Lily, he could only blame himself!
"Revolutionary Army..."
Lily clenched the hilt of her White Lightning Blade, and the crimson glow flashed with light. As she turned her eyes, she locked onto a direction.
"Is he there?"
Hiss!!!
The upper palace was suddenly sliced open, and the entire towering stone pillar was cut at an angle. A bolt of lightning struck from above, like a galaxy, and struck straight down towards the underground factory.
Teng Hu, standing on the ground, opened his white eyes and turned towards that direction, sighing, "Such a fierce aura. Is it a swordsman? As expected, this place is in chaos."
