"Have you had breakfast?"
Su Heyuan smiled and said, "Not yet. Eating breakfast alone is boring, so I thought I'd join you."
He knew that Lu Jiaxin always prepared a variety of dishes for breakfast and made more than enough to share with the helpers, never wasting any food.
As they sat down to eat, Su Heyuan asked, "Who else is coming today?"
Lu Jiaxin asked Zong Shimen and replied with a smile, "Hu Zhifeng and his wife, myself and Nie Zhan, and their mutual friend Tao Yong."
They had also invited Fu Ye, but he declined due to other plans. Lu Jiaxin suspected that perhaps since everyone else was in a couple, he felt it wouldn't be as enjoyable to come alone.
"What about Hu Huihui?"
Rolling her eyes at such a silly question, Lu Jiaxin retorted, "Miss Hu is the guest of honor today. Do you think she wouldn't attend her own party?"
A smile spread across Su Heyuan's face.
Seeing his obvious interest, Lu Jiaxin asked curiously, "I heard that Miss Hu is only average-looking. What is it that you find so captivating about her?"
Although she hadn't met Miss Hu, Shi Xinyu had described her as having a delicate and refined appearance. Such a description usually implied that the person was quite ordinary-looking. Su Heyuan's previous girlfriends had been either strikingly alluring or dignified and elegant. Lu Jiaxin wondered what made this young lady so special that she had captured Su Heyuan's heart at first sight.
Shaking his head, Su Heyuan replied, "There's no particular reason. I just liked her the moment I saw her."
"So, it was love at first sight?"
"You could say that."
After breakfast, Lu Jiaxin went upstairs to change her clothes, freshen up, and apply sunscreen. At nineteen, she was in the bloom of youth, and even without makeup, she could rival anyone's beauty. So, she focused on skincare and sun protection.
As she came downstairs, she saw Nie Zhan talking to Su Heyuan. She walked over and linked her arm through Nie Zhan's, asking, "How long have you been here?"
Nie Zhan bent down to kiss her forehead gently and smiled, "Just now. Zhifeng called and said they're on their way, so let's get going too!"
Su Heyuan, who had just been force-fed a mouthful of dog food, silently prayed for a smooth meeting. Perhaps then he wouldn't have to endure this kind of torture every day.
Hu Zhifeng had chosen the Discovery Bay Golf Course for the day. He was an avid golfer and frequently visited the Shek O Golf Course and the Discovery Bay Golf Course.
When Lu Jiaxin saw the words "Lantau Island," she suddenly asked Nie Zhan, "I remember that Wan Sheng Real Estate also participated in the investment for the second phase of the Discovery Bay development. What was the investment ratio?"
"Not much, only 5%. Why do you suddenly ask about this?" Nie Zhan replied.
Lu Jiaxin posed another question: "Do you think the Kai Tak Airport can handle the ever-increasing passenger traffic?"
Kai Tak Airport had become one of the busiest international airports in the world, ranking among the top three in international passenger volume and boasting the highest cargo volume globally. Yet, it was nestled in the heart of the city with only one runway and surrounded by densely packed high-rise buildings, leaving very limited space.
Nie Zhan immediately understood her concern and replied, "There have been talks about building a new airport for years, but no concrete plans have been presented yet. I also speculate that the new airport will be built on Lantau Island, which is why I partnered with Xingye International."
The 5% investment in the second phase had been due to a lack of funds at the time. Now that Wan Sheng Real Estate was thriving, he had established a good relationship, and they could increase their investment ratio in the next phase of development.
Lu Jiaxin wasn't surprised by his accurate prediction and merely smiled, "Yes, the new airport should be built on Lantau Island. It's the most suitable location in terms of area and size."
"It's a pity that all this land is in the hands of Xingye International, and they're not likely to sell it. We can only collaborate. Ordinary real estate businessmen won't give it a second glance; only the big players like Cheung Kong, Sun Hung Kai, and Wan Sheng would be interested in a partnership."
Su Heyuan regretted that his company was still too small to compete with these established giants. But he wasn't in a rush; he was still young and had plenty of opportunities ahead of him.
Upon arriving at Discovery Bay Golf, Lu Jiaxin met Hu Huihui. The girl had a round face that exuded an air of good fortune, and her skin was delicate, translucent, and naturally radiant.
When Hu Huihui caught sight of Lu Jiaxin, she couldn't help but size her up as well. Today, Lu Jiaxin wore a white t-shirt paired with jeans and white sneakers.
Hu Huihui smiled and said, "Jiaxin, I've often heard my sister-in-law mention you, and now I finally get to meet you in person. You're even more beautiful than in the magazines."
The girl's smile was pure, and two dimples appeared when she grinned. At that moment, she suddenly understood why Su Heyuan had been so eager. Hu Huihui was sweet and adorable, came from a good family background, and was the kind of girl one would rarely come across again if they missed the chance.
Lu Jiaxin smiled and exchanged a few words with her before introducing Su Heyuan, "Miss Hui, this is my older brother, Su Heyuan. He's a good person, but he has a bit of a temper, hence the nickname 'Fiery Brother'."
Su Hemu had come up with this nickname, and although it had been meant as a joke at the time, it now served as a playful tease.
Upon hearing this nickname, Hu Huihui couldn't help but laugh out loud.
Su Heyuan looked at Lu Jiaxin helplessly. Why was she ruining his image in front of this young lady? Before he could stop Lu Jiaxin from continuing, he took the initiative and introduced himself, "Miss Hu, it's nice to meet you. I'm Su Heyuan."
Hu Huihui greeted him with a cheerful smile.
Nie Zhan suggested, "Huihui, why don't you play a round with Mr. Su?"
Hu Huihui looked surprised and glanced at Hu Zhifeng, who nodded in agreement.
Just from that glance, Lu Jiaxin knew that Hu Huihui was a well-behaved daughter at home. Perhaps it was this very nature of hers that had caught Su Heyuan's attention, leading to his ardent pursuit.
As she watched the two of them head to the golf course, Lu Jiaxin felt that her role as a matchmaker was complete. She walked over to join Zong Shimen for some drinks. As for Nie Zhan, he joined Hu Zhifeng and Tao Yong for a game of golf. Nie Zhan was also a golf enthusiast, but he had been too busy lately to play as often as he would have liked.
Lu Jiaxin sat down and smiled as she said, "Sis-in-law, I must say, Huihui doesn't really resemble her brother, does she?"
One was tall and robust, while the other was petite and adorable, and their facial features bore no resemblance to each other. If it weren't for their introduction as siblings, no one would believe they were related.
Zong Shimen laughed, "Huihui takes after my mother-in-law, while my husband resembles his grandfather. It's strange, though. Our firstborn and third child look like their father, but our second child takes after me."
She and Hu Zhifeng had two sons and a daughter. The eldest and youngest sons had inherited the Hu family's looks, while the daughter, the second child, resembled Zong Shimen. It seemed like the Hu family genes were particularly strong when it came to male offspring.
Lu Jiaxin and Zong Shimen had known each other for a long time, but Lu Jiaxin had never met her three children. "It's the summer vacation now, so you can take the kids out more often!"
Zong Shimen smiled and said, "Next time we gather, I'll bring our second child along."
Although it was the summer break, the eldest son had a tight schedule with his classes. As for the youngest, he was too mischievous to bring to gatherings; he would talk nonstop and leave no room for the adults to converse.

Lu Jiaxin turned her head and saw Hu Huihui laughing so hard that she was bent over. She sensed that something interesting was about to unfold.
