Chapter 455: Rabbit's Ferocity
Chapter 455: Rabbit’s Ferocity
[Xiao Se’s streetscape, a life-or-death combat.]
[Battle auras shimmer in dazzling hues, lightning flashes and thunder roars.]
Under the narration’s commentary, Feng Bu Jue’s clash with the Juror raged on furiously.
Guided by Feng Bu Jue’s deliberate tactics, the two combatants fought while gradually moving away from Hong Hu and Zhao Ying Wang’s battlefield.
Undeniably, this Sawakani-lookalike opponent possessed formidable capabilities. Whether in speed or strength, neither paled in comparison to Feng Bu Jue. Their techniques were diverse, unpredictable, and packed devastating power.
Thankfully, Feng Bu Jue had Masun’s Warrior Spirit overseeing the battle. Thanks to this summoned entity floating midair, Feng Bu Jue temporarily held the opponent at bay.
However… Masun’s existence was time-limited. Even with the [implanted alchemy amplifier] boosting the duration, the spirit couldn’t last beyond seven minutes.
[A golden glow dissipated—Masun’s time in the mortal realm expired. The Warrior Spirit returned to the Spirit World. Feng Bu Jue, once again, faced peril!]
“This prolonged battle works against me,” Feng Bu Jue mused. “The vitality value consumption is unsustainable, and the longer this drags, the more variables emerge… Looks like I’ll have to use it now… Ki Cannon.”
[Another move unfolded—bodies lunged, legs struck like thunder, yet suddenly…]
As the Juror soared midair for a sidekick, a sinister black vortex abruptly materialized between them.
[A Space Rift tore open the air.]
“Wadaaaa!” A piercing roar echoed.
From the rift burst a kangaroo-like anthropomorphic cartoon rabbit, delivering a flawless roundhouse kick to intercept the Juror’s flying leg.
“Ugh… More bizarre characters keep showing up…” Feng Bu Jue muttered internally.
La Bit’s appearance remained unchanged—white shirt, black suit vest, a tiny mustache, and glasses perched on his nose.
He forced his opponent backward with a single kick, landed gracefully, and flicked his rabbit ears upward. “Shagula, long time no see!”
“So that’s Shagula’s name…” Feng Bu Jue pondered. “Come to think of it, La Bit used to be a Juror before becoming a fugitive. Looks like these two have plenty of old grudges and new hatreds to settle…”
Two seconds later, another anthropomorphic cartoon rabbit leaped from the rift. This one had gray fur, with white on his belly, paws, lower face, and half his tail. His hands wore white gloves, but his body remained bare. His most striking features? A pair of oversized buckteeth and scissor-shaped ears that perked high. His posture radiated elegance and swagger… for a rabbit, at least.
“Hi, staff,” he said, pulling out a carrot from nowhere and munching it like a snack while extending his paw. “Bunny, Bugs_Bunny.” He delivered the line mimicking a certain MI6 agent’s iconic introduction—Bond, James Bond.
Feng Bu Jue’s lips twitched. Hesitantly shaking the offered paw, he awkwardly replied, “Pleasure to—ah!” A hidden electric handshake device zapped him, sending him leaping upward.
“Haha~ Staff, just a little joke. Don’t get worked up,” Bugs_Bunny chuckled.
Feng Bu Jue forced a dry laugh. He couldn’t tell if this counted as a skills activation, but the handshake left his hair messier than ever, his head smoking, and his face blackened with soot. Yet his vitality value barely dropped—only 1%. Truly, a harmless prank.
“Need to stay calm… Can’t afford to provoke this guy,” Feng Bu Jue thought. “He might pull out explosives, detonators, even chainsaws next. I’m no cartoon character—I can’t survive those kind of gags…”
Meanwhile, the mall audience erupted in laughter.
Especially Xu Huai Shang’s fanbase, who reveled in Feng Bu Jue’s misfortune.
“Haha! Serves you right!”
“Way to go, rabbit people!”
“You don’t even know Bugs Bunny? What a loser!”
“La Bit… as a wanted criminal, how dare you appear before me?” Shagula growled. Notably, Sawakani-elf lacked mouths—their voice boomed directly from their chest cavity.
“Pfft! You’ve got no right to call me ‘La Bit’ like that!” La Bit snapped. “I’m punctual, wise, elegant, handsome, and feared by evildoers… I’m La Bitlord!”
“Hmph… Long ago, you had the right to claim justice…” Shagula’s gaze shifted to Bugs_Bunny. The latter waved cheerfully at the Juror. “But after you and your madman cousin stormed the court, there was no turning back.”
Before Shagula finished, Bugs_Bunny materialized beside them at an impossible speed. “Hey, staff! You like cake?” He brandished a cream cake from nowhere, its lit candle flickering.
“I know there’s a bomb inside… The candle’s the fuse…” Shagula’s sweat dripped. “I won’t fall for it!”
“Oh, staff! How could you misinterpret my kindness?” Bugs_Bunny gasped, his rabbit eyes widening in fake innocence. “Look—the cake even has your name written on it! The candle’s meant to be blown out, not used as a fuse. Here…”
“Erm…” Shagula reluctantly accepted the cake. “Thanks… Wait. I don’t have a mouth…”
Boom!
The cake exploded, sending Shagula crashing down, three tiny birds circling its head.
Leaning lazily against a utility pole, Bugs_Bunny chewed his carrot nonchalantly. “A madman beats a fool any day.”
“Hmm… No wonder he’s one of the smartest cartoon characters, crushing opponents with intellect and supernatural abilities…” Feng Bu Jue mused. “Arrogant, aloof, bottomless cunning, and overflowing superiority… What an enviable realm…”
“Cursed rabbit!” Shagula roared, climbing back up.
With the two rabbit newcomers shaking up the battle, the combat participants changed. Without Feng Bu Jue’s involvement, the narration fell silent.
“Feng Bu Jue, you leave. I’ll handle this one,” La Bit said without turning. “Call it repaying a favor.”
Bugs_Bunny snickered, making a “whispering” gesture to Feng Bu Jue. “Actually, these two’ve got personal beef.”
“Got it! Later!” Feng Bu Jue, eager to avoid further combat, seized the chance to vanish. The system, recognizing his withdrawal, shifted the broadcast elsewhere.
“Now…” Once Feng Bu Jue departed, La Bit cracked his knuckles, eyes blazing at Shagula. “Time we settled the score…”
