Xie had learned about Lu Jiaxin's encounter with the kidnappers the previous afternoon. He had called Su Heming to inquire about her condition and was relieved to find out that she was hospitalized due to a fever from catching a cold, not because of any injuries sustained during the kidnapping.
"No, she's a brave woman, and this incident hasn't affected her much. She only stayed in the hospital for three days, mainly to wait for Gu Wenfeng to regain consciousness," Su Heyuan explained.
Xie Kaixiao was aware that Gu Wenfeng had been in a coma after surgery and was pleased to hear that he had finally woken up.
