Chapter 448: The Dog with a Human Head
Chapter 448: The Dog with a Human Head
Albert had guessed correctly.
Montague had indeed passed on the "accidentally" overheard information to Captain Flint.
He thought it was a good opportunity. Since Ron Weasley was planning an ambush, why couldn't they turn the tables and ambush the Weasley clan instead?
Flint listened quietly to Montague's story, his eyes narrowing as he tapped his fingers lightly on the table, deep in thought.
After a moment, Flint looked up and asked for Montague's opinion.
"I can't be sure if they intended for me to hear that. After all, everyone knows that Anderson is a clever one, and this could very well be one of his schemes." Montague shared his thoughts with Flint, admitting that while he wasn't adept at such strategizing, it didn't mean he wouldn't try. He wasn't a fool.
"What do you think is their plan?" Flint himself disliked such mental exercises, but when it came to dealing with Albert, he had to be cautious lest he fell into another of his ploys.
"Umm...I think it's to...lure us into a trap?" Montague scratched his head, deciding to be frank with Flint. "I feel that regardless of their intentions, this is a good opportunity for us."
Yes, it was a golden opportunity! Whether it was a trap or not, they were unfazed.
The night before, when Flint had decided to cause trouble for Anderson's group, he had discussed the matter with several Slytherin students.
Over the past two years, quite a few Slytherins had suffered at the hands of Anderson's clique, and these students were more than willing to lend a hand to Flint.
With their numbers on their side, even if it was a trap, Flint didn't believe he would lose.
"Go and tell Poll and the others about this. Have him gather the rest, it's time we settled the score with them." Flint's eyes turned cold, a sneer playing at the corners of his mouth.
It was time to settle the score, and even if they were geniuses, they would be brought down this time.
Unbeknownst to them, a storm was brewing in the shadows.
Seemingly oblivious to this, Fred and George left the Great Hall after dinner. They had arranged to meet Albert at the library and were now on their way there alone.
Soon, Flint received a message through his enchanted bookmark—Fred and George had turned into the boys' bathroom on the third floor, Lee Jordan was nowhere to be seen, and Albert Anderson had just sat down to eat, currently discussing the day's Transfiguration lesson with Susan.
Flint glanced at Albert and followed the Weasley twins to the bathroom.
"The Weasley twins haven't left yet."
Montague, invisible due to a Disillusionment Charm, reported to Flint, "Our people will be here soon."
"Let's go in, just the two of us first." Flint indicated himself and Montague, noticing the expressions on the others' faces. "Whether it's a trap or not, it won't hurt to be cautious."
As soon as Flint and Montague entered the bathroom, before they could even spot Fred and George, multiple Stunning Spells came flying at them.
"Damn, we fell for it."
Flint's mind raced, but before he could react, he was knocked unconscious by the spells.
Montague managed to dodge the initial wave of spells thanks to Flint's intervention, but just as he was about to get up from the ground, another Stunning Spell took him down.
How do they know where I am! Even as he lost consciousness, Montague couldn't fathom how their positions had been given away, especially when he and Flint had used Disillusionment Charms.
"What an idiot, knowing it's a trap and still walking right into it." Fred shook his head, chuckling as he lifted the Disillusionment Charm from Flint, looking at the two unfortunate souls he had taken down.
While he might not possess Albert's ability to see through such charms, the wet footprints on the ground had given away their positions.
"I reckon that's how the idiot Kenneth Tolin got caught too." George muttered, "But didn't Albert say they'd have a lot of people?"
Just then, hurried footsteps approached, and several Slytherin students rushed into the bathroom, sending Stunning Spells at the Weasley twins.
Perry Derrick glanced at the unconscious Flint and Montague on the floor, then looked up at the Weasley twins who were blocking their spells. He breathed a sigh of relief.
Fortunately, Flint had called for enough backup; otherwise, this could've been troublesome.
"Looks like they brought quite a few people." Fred and George raised their wands, facing off against the group. They were waiting for Lee Jordan to make his move and strike from the shadows, dividing their opponents' attention.
Just as a clash was about to break out, two spells shot out from behind Fred and George, taking them down.
"What just happened?"
Even as they fell, the twins couldn't understand who had ambushed them.
Is that it? The Slytherins who had been ready to face off against the twins were bewildered, unsure how the twins had been felled so quickly.
"They like their schemes, but why can't we?" Flint was roused by a spell, and he walked over to the Weasley twins, squatting down and lightly slapping their faces. "Don't think I don't know about your other partner hiding here, ready to ambush us."
"I think the Weasley brothers are eager for an intimate encounter with the toilet."
Montague grinned maliciously at the twins and pulled one of them by the hair, intending to shove his head into the toilet.
"Hold on, Montague. I think Anderson will be here soon. Let's get ready to greet him properly. It'll be quite a sight to see their heads neatly stuffed into the toilets."
Flint began instructing the others to repair the bathroom, which had been damaged by the spells, using this opportunity to set up an ambush for Albert.
Suddenly, they heard something drop, and their gazes turned towards the source of the sound. A strange little ball had been thrown into the bathroom.
The next moment, the ball exploded, filling the room with a blinding white light.
"What the hell is that?"
"My eyes!"
"Damn, I'm blind!"
Everyone was temporarily blinded, their hands covering their eyes as they cursed in pain.
Before Flint could react, he vaguely saw a figure rush into the bathroom, and then he felt himself being hit by a spell, falling powerless to the ground and losing consciousness.
Vile trickster! That was the last thought in the minds of the Slytherins taken down by Albert. They didn't even have time to react as he suddenly burst into the bathroom and took them all out with Stunning Spells, one after the other, with such efficiency that no one in the bathroom had a chance to resist.
