After making these arrangements, Su Heyuan rushed to Deep Water Bay, only to discover that Lu Jiaxin wasn't there. Mr. Meng informed him that she had a high fever and had been taken to the hospital, specifically the Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital.
Without a moment's rest, Su Heyuan rushed to the hospital. After the kidnapping incident, security had been tightened at the hospital.
Su Heyuan was stopped from going upstairs and had no choice but to call Nie Zhan, who then accompanied him up to the ward. Upon entering the room, he saw Lu Jiaxin's face flushed, and she was muttering incoherently.
Su Heyuan's heart clenched, and he asked quietly, "Nie Zhan, what did the doctor say?"
Holding Lu Jiaxin's hand, Nie Zhan replied softly, "Her high fever is due to the shock she experienced. She was worried about Gu Wenfeng last night and was tense the whole time. This morning, when she finally relaxed, she collapsed."
"What about Gu Wenfeng?" Su Heyuan asked.
