"Report!"
As Olga stood frozen, a Dougleg Navy officer jogged over, saluted sharply, and announced, "Big Mom Pirate Ship approaching."
"They're here!"
Olga's face paled as his shoulders slumped. "So they finally caught up... After all this running, we were still found."
"No need to panic!" Kas declared firmly. "Leave it to me!"
He turned to the navy officer. "Evacuate the islanders immediately. Mobilize all forces—we're taking the fight to the pirates!"
"Understood!" The Dougleg Navy snapped a salute and sprinted away.
"Master Olga", Kas said gravely, "I'll prove to you that pirates can't break the Navy. In the name of 'Persistent Justice,' I swear to protect you!"
With that, he strode forward. His hooded cloak billowed in the wind, the word 'Justice' embroidered behind the hood sending Olga into a daze.
He'd sought help from the Navy before.
But the responses were always the same—helpless silence.
After all, this was one of the Four Emperors, a Grand Line emperor whose power and influence even the World Government approached with caution. Ordinary navies had no chance against such forces. The best response he'd ever received was a promise to notify headquarters—then nothing.
Eventually, Olga stopped asking. Like a refugee, he'd settle on an island for a while before fleeing to another.
Until now. For the first time, a Navy officer stood before him, making such a solemn vow.
"Why?" Olga opened his mouth, then suddenly shouted, "Why protect me—a mere burden?!"
Kas paused briefly but kept walking.
"The Navy's duty is to protect civilians. That's our mission."

He inhaled deeply, staring at Kas's retreating figure before bowing deeply. "Please... do your best."

On the horizon, a warship's silhouette emerged, racing toward them.
"Telescope."
Kas extended his hand. A navy officer handed him the device. Through it, he confirmed the Big Mom emblem.
It was definitely one of Big Mom's flagship vessels!
Onboard, countless soldiers wore chess-piece-like armor—Totto Land's military force, the Chess Soldiers, stood ready.
No doubt. This was the force of Four Emperors Big Mom.

"Charlotte Snug and Charlotte Rezan—Big Mom's sons. Especially Snug, with a six hundred million bounty. I heard he was defeated by last year's Super Novas in the New World."
Kas lowered the telescope. "This is a formidable enemy. I may not win, but for Justice, I won't retreat!"
"Comrades!" he roared. "My family!"
"The enemy is Big Mom's flagship officer—Charlotte Snug, former Yonko! Their target is Pegasus Island, the civilians behind us! As Navy, as defenders of Justice, what do we do?!"
"Protect!"
The navy shouted in unison.
"What if we can't win?!"
"Never surrender!" the Dougleg Navy thundered.
"Good!" Kas nodded. "In the name of 'Persistent Justice,' we shall never yield!"
"Prepare..."
As the warship closed in, he raised his arm for the command.
"Hey, Snug big brother! The Navy spotted us. We can only charge straight here—other areas are hills and slopes, hard to land."
From the ship's bow, Rezan held a telescope. "Leave it to me, Snug big brother."
Snug growled, "I'm Mother's son! Just charge through! A few cannons won't stop us!"
"Fire!!"
Boom! Boom! Boom!!
As the ship neared, Kas slashed his arm down. Shore batteries roared, cannonballs screaming toward the vessel.
Rezan lowered his telescope, watching the incoming barrage. He leapt, unsheathing his blade mid-air. A continuous white line slashed through the air—cannonballs near the ship neatly sliced apart.
Boom!!
Cannonballs exploded mid-air, water geysering from misses.
Not a single hit landed.
"Here comes another wave."
No sooner had he finished the first barrage than a second iron-curtain salvo approached. Landing on the bow, Rezan leapt again, cleaving the new volley before the ship reached shore.
"Think you can stop us with mere cannonballs?!"
Snug stormed forward, Katana drawn. He lunged, slashing at the bearded man ahead.
"Dougleg Kas! Die!"
Cold light flashed as the blade descended.
Clang!!
Kas blocked the strike overhead, a white aura erupting from his body. The aura swirled around nearby navy soldiers, converging above his head to form a barrier against Snug's Katana.
"What the hell is this?!"
Snug's strike failed. He landed, slashing sideways. Another clang rang out—the Katana deflected again by the white aura.
"Justice will not yield!" Kas glared. "I'm arresting you, Charlotte Snug!"
White energy enveloped Kas and his navy, forming a massive shield before Snug.
"The Shield of Justice!"
Kas roared, drawing his saber with one hand, punching his chest with the other. "Triple!"
Whoosh!
A storm erupted.
Behind him, navy soldiers gathered, their white auras merging into a denser mass—a colossal white entity, like a beast.
"Follow me—Charge!!!"
Saber screeches echoed from the white aura, as if the White Colossus gained fangs. It lunged, claws bared, at Snug.
"What the hell is this thing?!"
Snug instinctively stepped back, astonished.
He'd never seen such power. Was this some ability?
