Chapter 444: Crimson Witch Makes an Appearance (First Update)
On the coast of Africa, in the woods near the massive Salva dock.
Dr. Banner stood inside the Quinjet's cockpit, listening to the intense fighting sounds coming from the radio, and asked hesitantly:
"How's it going? Do you need me to turn green and come help?"
"Wait a bit longer. I'm afraid... Oh, fuck!"
The radio crackled with Tony's angry curse, followed by static as the signal cut out.
Clearly, Tony and the others who entered the dock had encountered some danger.
Pacing back and forth inside the Quinjet, Banner finally opened the aircraft's hatch and stepped out.
He planned to transform into Hulk and rush to their aid if Tony and the others were in danger.
However, he hadn't even had time to assess the situation when he saw a pair of superpowered siblings not far ahead, eyeing him with malicious intent.
Immediately, he understood why Tony had asked him to wait.
But now, it was too late. The brother could move at high speed, and the sister had mind control. They had appeared here for a specific purpose.
Banner knew without a doubt that they were after Hulk, the ultimate weapon.
"What do I do? What do I do?"
Seeing the superpowered siblings approaching, Banner quickly retreated into the Quinjet and closed the hatch.
The communication system in the cockpit seemed to have been jammed by Ultron, making it impossible to contact Tony and the others for rescue. Even if he could reach them, it would be too late by the time they arrived.
"Crack!"
The metal hatch of the Quinjet suddenly buckled, as if being twisted by an incredible force. It wouldn't hold for more than a few seconds.
In this critical moment, Dr. Banner suddenly remembered something. He leaped toward his nylon bag next to the pilot's seat, frantically searching and pulling out the Magic Mirror that Jerry had given him after the battle with the Aliens in New York.
Although, since the end of the battle at S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, Witch had disappeared due to the "Witch threat theory." Nick Fury, Tony, and Thor had all tried to contact Witch using the Magic Mirror, but to no avail.
But in this situation, he had to try anything.
"Witch!"
Banner shouted the activation spell at the mirror.
After a tense five seconds, with the Quinjet's hatch door about to be completely crushed, the Magic Mirror finally lit up.
"Hi, Dr. Banner, long time no see!"
Jerry's familiar face appeared in the mirror.
"Oh, God, everyone said they couldn't reach you. I didn't think it would actually work!"
Seeing that he had successfully contacted Witch, Banner was overjoyed.
At that moment, the Quinjet's hatch door was finally opened by the sister's superpower, and the two siblings charged in.
"Jerry, I need your help, I... roar... Hulk..."
Banner tried to explain the situation to Jerry, but before he could finish, the sister appeared behind him and began to use her mind control.
Immediately, he involuntarily dropped the Magic Mirror, clutched his head in pain, and rapidly transformed into the green Hulk.
"Go, wreak havoc!"
A seductive voice echoed in Hulk's mind, and with a roar, Hulk was about to run toward the nearby city of Sokovia.
"Looks like we have a situation!"
Jerry watched the image in the mirror disappear and heard Hulk's roar, knowing that Dr. Banner must have encountered some danger.
Recalling the plot he had seen and comparing the timing, he had a rough idea of what was happening.
"Come on, let me introduce you to a few Earth friends!"
He waved his hand, and a portal leading to the Magic Mirror appeared before the group.
Stepping through the portal, Jerry and the five members of the Guardians of the Galaxy appeared inside the Quinjet's cabin.
Outside the cabin, the superpowered siblings and the raging Hulk were standing.
"Sure enough, it's the Crimson Witch and Quicksilver!"
Sensing the chaos magic power emanating from the scene, Jerry immediately identified the beautifully built woman as the Crimson Witch, who possessed chaos magic.
"Jerry, your friends don't seem like they're from Earth. They look more like Gamora's species!"
Star-Lord, looking at the green Hulk in the distance, showed a surprised expression.
"We don't have anyone that big in our Zehouberry Clan!"
Gamora kicked Star-Lord from behind.
Jerry shrugged:
"He's purely human, but due to a biological experiment, he turned out this way. You'll see when he returns to normal."
At that moment, the Crimson Witch and Quicksilver noticed Jerry and the others' arrival.
The Crimson Witch immediately changed her command, instructing Hulk to protect the two of them instead of causing destruction in Sokovia.
It was impossible not to be wary with seven people suddenly appearing, only two of whom looked normal, while the other four were more bizarre.
"Who are you?"
"Who we are isn't important. Could you please remove the magic you've placed on my friend?"
Jerry led the way out of the Quinjet, smiling at the Crimson Witch.
Upon hearing Jerry refer to Hulk as a friend, the Crimson Witch immediately realized these strange-looking people were likely with Tony.
"Take them out!"
The Crimson Witch's voice echoed in Hulk's mind again, and Hulk roared, charging toward Jerry and the others.
"Jerry, your friend doesn't seem to welcome us!"
Star-Lord immediately drew his element gun, and Rocket and Gamora also readied their weapons.
Jerry stopped and explained:
"He's not unwelcoming; he's just being mind-controlled by that lady over there."
"What do we do now?"
Star-Lord, watching Hulk get closer, raised his element gun.
Hulk was Jerry's friend, but he was being controlled to attack them. Should they fight back?
Jerry smiled and took a few steps back:
"Don't worry, my friend is tough. Feel free to go at it. This is the Guardians of the Galaxy's first battle, and we can't lose!"
None of the Guardians, except for Groot, were known for their patience. Jerry thought it would be good for them to experience Earth's strength if they were to stay for a few years.
The Crimson Witch, Quicksilver, and Hulk should give the Guardians a clear understanding of their own capabilities.
