Chapter 43: High-Concentration Energy Zone
Chapter 43: High-Concentration Energy Zone
Swish!
The sword blade, imbued with martial energy, tore through the air, creating a deafening sonic boom!
In the blink of an eye, Su Nan found himself in a life-threatening predicament, surrounded by enemies.
But there was not a hint of panic on his face. His right hand shot out like lightning, grabbing the sword blade that was about to strike him.
Thud! The sword blade seemed to hit a tough, resilient leather, the martial energy and the yellow aura clashing intensely, but it couldn't break through.
On the other side, the longsword from the left was deflected by an invisible shield, making no progress.
The two Grand Knights, who had been building up their momentum for a fierce attack, were effortlessly neutralized.
"Are the other two priests here as well? Perfect, I'll take care of all of you at once."
Su Nan stood up straight, his gaze cold as he scanned the two priests.
The priests, still in shock, were enraged by the enemy's apparent disregard for them. They let out a fierce roar and charged at him again.
Without hesitation, Su Nan threw two rune gems. Blazing flames and blinding lightning erupted, surging forward like dragons, instantly engulfing the two priests.
After the deafening explosion, two more bodies lay on the ground.
"Meow, Su Nan is amazing!" Amy shouted, cheering him on.
The little cat, though innocent, seemed unfazed by the bloody scene, a sign that her previous owner had no shortage of blood on his hands.
After dealing with the two priests, the remaining Starfire cultists seemed to be cowed. No one dared to stand in Su Nan's way again.
With the wind element particles boosting his speed, he and Amy reached the main building of the estate in just a few breaths.
"The thing is on the second floor!" Amy's chubby paw pointed to a room in the middle of the second floor.
Su Nan leaped up from where he stood, breaking through the window and entering the room. Following Amy's guidance, he shattered a wall and found a hidden chamber.
Inside, the room was empty except for a stone pedestal and three chests.
On the pedestal lay the Divine Blood Amber he was looking for.
Twenty-four pieces in total! Su Nan didn't hesitate to take them all.
Including the ones he already had, he now possessed twenty-six Divine Blood Ambers.
When Su Nan opened the other three chests, his eyes lit up.
Golden coins!
All three chests were filled with gold coins, at least two thousand of them!
"Didn't expect these guys to be so wealthy."
Su Nan sighed, then scooped all the gold coins into the synthesis cube.
After doing this, he quickly left the main building and sprinted out of the estate.
Not long ago, Hidden Dragon had relayed a message that the three pursuers seemed to have noticed something was amiss and were heading back to the estate.
But they were too late.
Rushing out of the estate, Su Nan didn't stop, vanishing into the night.
Soon, three figures burst into the estate, heading straight for the main building.
When they saw the empty hidden chamber, Casper nearly fainted.
"Damn thief! Bastard!"
Regaining his composure, the enraged Casper slashed the nearby desk to pieces with his sword.
The two priests behind him lowered their heads, silent and afraid to speak, fearing they might be blamed.
At that moment, a Starfire cultist rushed in, panic-stricken. "High Priest, this is bad. We found the bodies of Priest Braun and Priest Lori in the warehouse."
Before he could finish, Casper was already in front of him, grabbing his collar, his face pale with anger. "The underground warehouse, has it been compromised?"
The cultist, frightened, stammered, "T-the bodies of the two priests were found in front of the underground warehouse. Everything inside has been taken."
"A bunch of useless scum!"
Before the cultist could finish, the furious Casper slapped him across the face.
The unfortunate soul didn't even have time to make a sound before meeting a gruesome end.
"Damn you, I will find you!"
Casper's furious roar echoed through the night.
While Casper raged impotently, Su Nan had already silently returned to his room at the tavern. Meanwhile, Hidden Dragon had also found a hiding spot nearby.
After checking the room to ensure no one had entered since he left, Su Nan sat down and laid out all the loot he had acquired that night.
Looking at the more than twenty Divine Blood Ambers on the table, Su Nan felt a surge of joy.
He opened the synthesis cube and began placing the Divine Blood Ambers inside, his eyes fixed on the synthesis interface.
After placing six Divine Blood Ambers, the interface finally showed a significant change.
[Divine Blood Amber, Divine Blood Content: 0.4 milliliters. Carrying it greatly enhances the attraction of energy particles. It has a low level of mental contamination, and prolonged close contact can alter thoughts and perceptions, leading to faith in the source of the divine blood.]
Compared to before, the Divine Blood Amber now had a "greatly" enhanced attraction to energy particles, and the mental contamination had noticeably weakened.
Elated, Su Nan placed the remaining Divine Blood Ambers into the cube, causing the synthesis interface to change again.
[Divine Blood Amber, Divine Blood Content: 1.3 milliliters. When exposed to air, it attracts free-floating energy particles, creating a high-concentration energy zone. Being in this zone can cause mild auditory and visual hallucinations, which can be resisted with a mental strength of 18 or higher.]
"Success!"
Su Nan's heart leaped with joy.
The mental contamination side effect of the synthesized Divine Blood Amber had completely disappeared, leaving only a mild hallucination effect.
He guessed this was the source of the prayers and grand halls he had heard and seen before.
However, as long as there was no mental contamination, a mild hallucination effect was entirely acceptable. Besides, once his mental strength reached 18, he would be immune to it.
Compared to the initial Divine Blood Ambers, the final synthesized product was undoubtedly much better.
Without hesitation, Su Nan chose to synthesize it.
The moment he took the synthesized Divine Blood Amber out of the cube, he felt the free-floating energy particles in the air rapidly gather around it, forming a dense energy particle zone with a radius of about two meters.
Bathed in the dense energy particles, Su Nan felt an unprecedented clarity and vitality in his mind.
Even without actively absorbing them, numerous energy particles were already seeping into his body and consciousness, strengthening his physique and filling his Star Ring.
"Meditating in this environment will at least triple, if not quadruple, the efficiency!"
A strong sense of joy surged within Su Nan.
The effects of the synthesized product were even better than he had expected!
With the Divine Blood Amber, he could cut the time needed to advance to the Third-Class Wizard Apprentice in half!
Just for the Divine Blood Ambers, his trip to Stone Bell City had been worth it!
"Meow, what's going on? Why are all the energy particles gathering around you?"
Amy quickly noticed the strange phenomenon and jumped up from the table, staring dumbfounded at the Divine Blood Amber in Su Nan's hand.
"That Divine Blood Amber looks different. It seems to have changed somehow."
"I made a few modifications to it."
Not wanting to reveal too much about his secrets, Su Nan gave a vague answer and put away the Divine Blood Amber, then turned his attention to the items on the table.
Most of the items left by Amy's mysterious owner were books or magic items. He had already skimmed through the books, but the magic items, due to the urgency of the situation earlier, had not been thoroughly examined. Now, with some free time, he picked them up one by one, carefully inspecting them.
