"I'll pay for it", Qiao Sang insisted again.
"No need", the female doctor waved her hand. "It's my fault for not reminding you about the Compact Shrinking Bracelet. It's not a big deal; the Beastmaster Center has more examination beds in the supply room."
She doesn't want me to pay, what a good person... Qiao Sang thought.
At that moment, the female doctor turned to Qiao Sang and said, "You have two more familiars, right? Should we check them together?"
Qiao Sang hesitated for a moment. "No, they're in good condition."

The long legs retracted, but then extended again, blocking her path.
"Dr. Li, wasn't your husband hit by a car and taken to the hospital?"
The woman was taken aback, turned her head, and saw the owner of the long legs. She forced a smile and said, "Oh, isn't that Dr. Wang? Weren't you supposed to meet your girlfriend's parents? Why are you here?"
They exchanged a glance, then turned away in unison.
One retracted their legs, the other continued forward, pretending nothing had happened.
