Chapter 429: Compared to Pirates, You're the Real Despicable Ones!
As Sazil surged forward, the surroundings fell into stillness. The crowd stared at him in shock.
After a long pause, the enemy finally reacted.
"The boss is down!"
"Unforgivable! You bastard!"
Burly men rushed to draw Pistols from their waists, aiming at Sazil.
Clang!
At the same time, Navy reinforcements stormed through the gates, forming battle lines with long spears leveled at the gangsters.
"So you're not working together after all."
Sazil twisted his wrists, glaring at them. "Daring to deceive me? Did you think about the consequences?"
"You're just Navy! Why are you pushing us like this? Aren't you supposed to be fighting pirates?!" a muscular man trembled, his pistol wavering at the Navy's gun barrels.
"Why?"
Sazil clenched his Fist. "Nailsfist Technique: Straight Nail!" He thrust his fist forward, unleashing a vacuum punch.
Bang!
The man arched backward, blood spraying from his stomach as he collapsed.
"I'll tell you why." He reared back his Fist. "Exploding Nail!"
Puh-puh-puh!!
Multiple gangsters staggered back, their chests pierced through from front to back, blood spraying as they fell with white eyes.
"This is Justice's Navy!" He spat out a cigarette, mimicking Kuro's style with a smoke ring. "Mr. Kuro gave us authority to make independent judgments. And my judgment right now? You're not good people."
He approached Jeno, who had shielded his siblings. "Little brat, your shout woke me up. Good job."
He hadn't noticed earlier - this was a situation he'd never encountered before.
Back when he trained under his master, then sailed solo, the pirates he joined were all strong, albeit idiotic. But this? This was different.
The boy's scream had sent chills down his spine. Something was seriously wrong here.
Though he couldn't pinpoint what, his instincts never lied. When in doubt, fight first.
The gangsters' sudden counterattack only confirmed his suspicions.
"Watch out!" Jeno shouted as a disguised Civilian lunged from Sazil's blind spot, dagger aimed at his back.
"Die, Navy scum!"
"Surface Scan!" Without turning, Sazil twisted his body like paper in wind, dodging the dagger.
"I'll say", he snarled, driving his elbow into the attacker's face. Blood and teeth flew as the man screamed and collapsed.
He tilted his head at the fallen thug. "If my hooded cloak gets torn, Mr. Klah will punish me. Think I'll let you damage my gear?"
"Th-that's amazing!" Jeno stammered.
"Everyone, hold position!" Sazil bellowed. "Bullets have no eyes! Anyone who moves gets shot!"
The Navy advanced, guns trained on the crowd, fingers on triggers.
Bang-bang-bang!
A burly man tried to flee. Before he could turn, bullets tore through him, blood pooling as he fell.
The crowd froze. This was real death.
"Hey, little brat. What's your name?" Sazil approached Jeno.
"J-Jeno." The boy swallowed hard.
"Jeno, huh? Tell me what's going on here. I need to make decisions." Sazil said.
Jeno bit his lip. "Can you really save us, Navy officer?"
"We came to solve problems", Sazil pointed at the sky. "If I can't handle it, I've got superiors above me."
Above him stood Klah, the Commander - Kuro's right-hand man, strategist, and aide. If even Klah couldn't resolve it, there was always Mr. Kuro himself.
To Sazil, Kuro was like the ultimate boss - nothing was beyond his capability.
"Really?" Jeno hesitated.
"You little brat", Sazil growled. "Spit it out! You were loud and brave earlier, why the fear now?"
Jeno lowered his head. "They're not local residents."
These weren't just outsiders - they were a black gang. One day they arrived, seized control through military force, forcing children to steal and beg, adults to serve them. Resistance fighters were beaten into submission or killed.
If the people had even moderate living conditions, they might have endured. But the gang's demands were endless - each household must provide ten thousand Beri daily. Failure meant brutal beatings.
They controlled parents while supervising children, creating dual oppression. Children worried about parents, parents about children - trapped in this cycle for half a year.
Jeno's tears fell. "My parents were killed for resisting fiercely."
"Brother..."
Seeing Jeno cry, his siblings wept too.
"It's okay, I'm fine." He wiped tears with his sleeve. "I'm the older brother, I can't cry."
Watching him suppress his sorrow, Sazil fell silent.
"You're amazing", he finally said. "At your age, I was still crying every day under my master's training. You're a real man."
Jeno managed a smile. "My father used to say the same."
"Is that so?" Sazil grinned. "Then keep being a man."
He turned, shouting, "I'm Navy! You have nothing to fear! I'm here to help! From now on, point out anyone who bullied or controlled you! We Navy will deal with them all!"
The crowd stirred, but no one moved.
Sazil's expression darkened. He approached a burly man.
"I'm a good person, Navy officer!" the man grinned nervously.
"Who is he?" Sazil ignored him, pointing at the crowd.
"Tell me!" He glared at a couple.
"T-they're black gang", the woman trembled.
"Iron Body!" Sazil roared, his Fist smashing down on the man's head.
Crash!!!
The man's skull flattened like a pancake. He collapsed, mouth agape, lifeless.
"Start identifying!" Sazil pointed at the corpse. "We'll resolve all your troubles!"
He glared at the corpse, coldly stating, "Bullying weaklings this severely? Compared to pirates, you're the real despicable ones!"
