Annie aimed her pistol directly at Kuro in the sky, shouting, "Do you really think wiping out one old man means you can eliminate all of us?!"

Roberts looked down at Annie, "Don’t make me laugh. Who exactly is ‘us’? That Navy officer is mine. Leave this to Admiral Roberts. You lot can just watch. Bow in reverence to my might! You’ll all answer for your crimes with your lives!"
"Yohohoho! Blood!"
Briar clenched both fists toward Kuro, cackling wildly, "Twist Spiral Jet!"
The air twisted and spiraled from his fists, forming two small tornadoes that shot toward Kuro.
"This…"
Kuro’s eyes widened slightly as he sidestepped, easily dodging the ambush.
"A Devil Fruit user, huh? How terrifying", he said, glancing at Briar. "Is that twisted posture a result of your ability?"
"Yohohoho, you bet!" Briar grinned. "I’m the Twist Human who ate the ‘Twist Twist Devil Fruit’! I can twist the air I touch—including this body! Ah! Twisting is the best! Blood is the best!"
"I see. So there are even such strange Devil Fruit users… Though on the Grand Line, nothing’s too strange."
Kuro scratched his head again, "Looks like none of you want to commit suicide. Honestly, suicide’s not so bad. See, you could save me the trouble, die painlessly, and avoid suffering."
Most importantly, if they killed themselves, he’d face zero risk of punishment for promotion. After all, it wouldn’t be his fault.

Kuro pulled a cigar from his coat pocket, lit it with a lighter, and took a slow puff. Smoke curled from his lips.

His right hand rested on the hilt of his sword, his hooded cloak billowing in the wind. Crimson liquid intertwined with his figure, making him stand out starkly.

Annie finally noticed the substance. Briar and his twisted subordinates had their heads severed, blood geysering from their necks. The headless bodies twitched briefly before collapsing with their skulls, thudding to the ground.
The spiraling ground beneath them stilled, settling into vortex-like patterns.
With the Devil Fruit user’s death, their abilities vanished.
"Phew."
Kuro exhaled a stream of smoke, glancing at the headless corpses. "Ah, sorry about that. Didn’t mean to pick you first. Maybe you were just too ugly."
"Hey, you’ve gotta be kidding me with that speed!"
Annie broke out in a cold sweat, her grip trembling on the pistol.
She was known as "Quick Draw", her pistol skills unmatched on the Grand Line. No one could ever see her draw—until now.
She hadn’t seen a thing!
Neither his movement nor his sword strike! Not even a flicker!
Kuro stroked his chin, watching Annie tremble. "Should I let a few escape? If I do, maybe they’ll distract the others when they arrive…"
The thought eased Annie’s tension.
This Navy officer wasn’t planning to kill them all?
"Just kidding."

Annie’s vision blurred as she glimpsed a familiar body—her own—headless, a black blade slicing through its neck.
"That’s… my body", her final thought flickered.
Kuro flicked Autumn Water, scattering blood from the blade as he turned his back to Annie’s falling corpse. "Pirates are better off dead. Dead men tell no tales."
He turned to Bellamy, "Hyena? I know you."
He definitely recognized the man. He’d appeared in the original story—memorable for stealing gold and insulting the "One Piece" treasure. Watching him back then had been amusing.
"Don’t think I’m easy prey!"
Bellamy crouched, his legs and arms transforming into springs. As his legs launched him forward, his entire body rocketed toward Kuro, his fist crackling with Armament Haki.

Kuro simply sidestepped, slipping into Bellamy’s open space. Autumn Water slashed upward.

Bellamy’s body arched backward mid-air, a massive gash tearing from his chest to his shoulder and waist. The blade widened the scar on his chest’s smiley tattoo.
"Almost split him in two", Kuro muttered.
"Oh? That Flamingo’s mark, huh?" He twisted the blade, repelling blood under the sunlight.
He glanced at Bellamy’s motionless body, raising an eyebrow. "Sorry about that, Donquixote Doflamingo’s subordinate. Slicing a Seven Warlords member… Well, no one will know once Aokiji’s Ice Age hits."
"Now then—"
Kuro turned toward the faction of knights, eyes widening slightly. "Huh. Wearing armor that thick? Impressive. That must’ve cost a fortune. With that kind of money, why become a pirate?"

As he spoke, a sound erupted behind him. Kuro’s ears twitched, his body dissolving into a wispy afterimage.

The ground where he’d stood erupted with countless weapons, leaving craters.
Above the rooftop, Roberts stood with arms spread wide, his golden hooded cloak billowing. The interior of the cloak and his torso had become a chaotic void.
"Who gave you the right to look down on this Admiral earlier? And now you dare ignore me? Your crime deserves death", Roberts declared coldly, his expression as frigid as his words.
Kuro reappeared at a distance, eyeing the weapons on the ground and Roberts. "What the hell is this?"
Roberts smirked, "I’m the Storage Human who ate the ‘Store Store Devil Fruit.’ I can store anything except life within my body. What you saw was just the tip of the iceberg. Now, kneel and witness my strength!"
Whoosh!
As he spoke, a barrage of weapons erupted from his body and cloak—long spears, blades, muskets, bullets—forming an iron curtain that darkened the sky as it descended on Kuro.
"Tch, this ability…"
Kuro’s expression turned odd. There was something oddly familiar about how this Devil Fruit was used.
