Chapter 416: A Thorough Dominance
Chapter 416: A Thorough Dominance
The surrounding Fur Tribe members seemed frozen in place, all of them staring intently at Sage in the center, their weapons tightly gripped, some trembling slightly due to the strain.
The young ones of the Fur Tribe possessed impressive self-defense skills, let alone these warriors in their prime. With their animal-like keen senses, even those without the Observation Color could sense the incredibly formidable aura emanating from the human at the center.
"What Pirate King nonsense!"
A black-furred chimpanzee from the Fur Tribe couldn't bear the increasingly oppressive atmosphere and slammed his large fists onto the ground, rushing forward.
"Blackback!"
A water buffalo-furred tribe member beside him let out a startled cry, charging forward with his hooves, his pair of horns coated in black.
"Oh, Haki."
Sage chuckled, shifting his body to the side, allowing the chimpanzee's fists to slam into the ground. He then reached out and grabbed the charging buffalo's horns.
Bang! Without exerting much force, Sage didn't use brute strength to restrain them. Instead, he smoothly guided the buffalo to the side, causing him to collide with the chimpanzee, and both flew away.
At that moment, Sage's open hand glowed with a Haki aura, and he threw a Haki blast, creating an explosion of smoke between the two.
As the smoke cleared, two more figures lay on the ground.
"Not bad," Sage nodded. "They are indeed much stronger than ordinary pirates. Their physique gives them a significant advantage, making them quite exceptional. They resemble my demon-race retainers, but they are not of the same type."
His demon-race retainers possessed giant bloodlines, and their abilities showcased not only their physique but also an extremely high adaptability to any environment, a race naturally suited to thrive anywhere.
These Fur Tribe members, regardless of their size, relied on their keen senses and agility. Even the chimpanzees were no exception.
Whoosh!
As Sage finished speaking, a golden big cat swiftly approached him, its double-headed trident spinning rapidly above its head, coated in Haki, and it fiercely swept towards Sage.
"Don't underestimate us!"
As the trident swung, Doglan rushed from Sage's side, blocking his retreat. Drawing his longsword from his waist, he displayed a Haki aura unlike any ordinary one.
"We!" Doglan continued Viper's words, thrusting his sword forward like lightning.
"Cat Slash!"
"Dog Thrust!"
"It's just a powerful sweep and a swift thrust."
Sage smiled faintly in his eyes, shifting his body to the side and leaning back, avoiding the thrust and sweep.
Clang!
Doglan's sword clashed with Viper's trident, sparking a shower of sparks. Just as they made contact, both the cat and the dog reacted swiftly, quickly crossing their weapons and swinging them again.
Bang!
But just as they exerted force, Sage, still leaning back, suddenly spun, kicking Viper in the stomach while punching Doglan, creating a wave of force that sent them both staggering backward.
"Tsk!"
Viper covered his abdomen and clicked his tongue, exchanging a glance with Doglan, who had retreated. Both were momentarily stunned.
Too fast.
No, that's not right.
It wasn't a quick reaction but more like a premonition.
"Future Sight?" Doglan whispered.
"Wrong!"
Whoosh!
Before Doglan could react, Sage appeared in front of him, spinning in mid-air, his legs and feet resembling a spinning battle axe, and kicked him in the head."
Bang!
Doglan was knocked to the ground, and as the dust cleared, Sage's figure swiftly appeared before Viper. The latter attempted to attack, but Sage kicked him in the lower body, causing him to stumble to the side. Sage then followed up with an upward kick to the waist, sending Viper flying high into the air.
"It's pure reflexes!"
Sage grinned menacingly, "You haven't reached the level where I need to use Future Sight."
"Boss!"
"Duke!"
The remaining members of the Fur Tribe exclaimed, and they all launched their attacks.
"Doglan Musketeers, follow me!"
The Lion-Furred Sicilian drew his longsword and charged forward with a Zebra and a Fox wielding rapiers.
"Samurai Guild!"
Pedro drew his longsword from his back and pounced like a cheetah, while the White Rabbit beside him slashed with sharp claws, and all the attacking Fur Tribe members were imbued with electricity.
"Musketeers? Then why aren't they using muskets?"
Sage drew his flintlock pistol from his waist, took a half-step back, aimed at the three incoming sword-wielding musketeers, and pulled the trigger, "Momo."
Bang, bang, bang! Three consecutive shots, the bullets fired faster than they could react, piercing their bodies with Overwhelming Aura and knocking them to the ground.
Then, Sage spun on his heels, raised his pistol, and fired at Pedro's slashing blade. The bullet's momentum collided with the sword, creating sparks and causing Pedro's arm to go numb.
Bang! Before Pedro could react, another bullet was fired, piercing his abdomen and sending him flying.
Seizing the opportunity, Galot finally dove towards Sage's side, ready to strike with her electrified claws. But Sage didn't even glance at her; he swung the pistol in his hand, hitting Galot's head with the barrel, sending her flying.
"Oh, I forgot to mention, it's better to fight me head-on. Ambushes won't work on me."
Sage glanced at the White Rabbit, "You're weak. Compared to the Samurai Guild, you're lacking."
"I... I'm a musketeer," Galot cried out in pain.
The battle ended swiftly, even before Doglan and Viper could stand up. The dog and cat roared and charged forward again.
"You two are somewhat interesting, but your speed is still lacking."
Sage dodged Viper's trident thrust, then leaped backward, kicking Doglan's lunging sword with his Overwhelming Aura-covered leg. Using the sword's force, he jumped upwards, almost forming a split with his legs, and kicked the dog and cat's heads simultaneously. With a swift spin, he fired the remaining two bullets at their heads.
In the face of life-threatening danger, both the cat and dog narrowed their pupils, forcing themselves to withstand the impact and retreat. Viper flipped to the side, narrowly avoiding the fatal strike, as the bullet hit his ribs. He quickly dodged the bullet aimed at his head but was grazed by the shoulder.
Just as they managed to dodge, Sage, still in mid-air, reached Viper, who was still flipping. Sage had already holstered his flintlock, and with a swift punch, he sent Viper flying.
As soon as the punch was thrown, Sage vanished, and in the brief moment Doglan turned to face him, a heart-stopping stomp was delivered, almost piercing Doglan's heart and sending him flying as well.
"Can't you show me something more interesting?"
Sage shook his hand and looked at the surrounding Fur Tribe members, bursting into laughter, "Show me what you've got! Wahahaha!"
Who could fight Jack for five days and nights?
What strength could they possibly possess? The Ivory King's power, though unseen, was certainly not stronger than Wibbur's in Sage's eyes. Moreover, those Beastmen, with their lack of speed, were no match for a cat fighting a heavy, cumbersome opponent for five days and nights.
But Sage's goal was not to defeat just one or two.
He wanted...
Whoosh!
"If you won't come to me, I'll come to you!"
Sage leaped into the air, soaring above the Fur Tribe. Like a tiger pouncing on a flock of sheep, he descended upon them.
Furs, regardless of the species, were all prey waiting to be slaughtered.
