Chapter 412: Stirring Up the Town
Chapter 412: Stirring Up the Town
In the Land of Fire, there lies a bustling floral capital, the heart of the country and its most prosperous region. The nobility of the Land of Fire congregates in this vibrant city, drawn by its allure.
Ever since the rise of Danzo Shimura, who relied on the power of the Hundred Beasts and Kaido to rule, the environment has suffered. His influence has spread pollution across the land, and those with ambition or seeking refuge have flocked to the floral capital.
Other towns are slowly declining.
At this moment, in a noodle shop within the floral capital, a ruckus is unfolding.
A group of young girls and mature women gather outside the shop, their eyes glued to the interior through the windows.
"What are you all doing here?" asks a curious sixteen-year-old girl, emerging from a nearby store and eyeing the crowd strangely.
Receiving no answer to her question, she joins them, peering into the noodle shop through the window. With a quick glance, her gaze fixes on a man sitting at a square table in the corner.
Accompanying him is a young girl, around twelve years old, who doesn't stand out much. But the man beside her is captivating, with silver-white hair and a delicate, almost otherworldly, beauty. He is dressed in light-colored kimono, adorned with cherry blossom petals, and has a hand casually resting on his cheek as he observes the scene outside.
"He's... he's... so handsome!" the girl by the window exclaims, her eyes sparkling with stars as she, like the others, becomes transfixed.
Who is that man?! I've never seen him before.
Thoughts swirl in the minds of the captivated onlookers, wondering about his identity. Is he a noble from the capital? They had never heard of him, and their imaginations run wild with possibilities.
The man in question is none other than Feng Ye, who has just arrived in the floral capital, and sitting beside him is Robin.
"Are you full?" Feng Ye asks, turning from the window and addressing Robin, who has just put down her chopsticks and is wiping her mouth with a handkerchief.
Robin takes a sip from her water cup and remarks, "The noodles here are delicious."
"Yes, they're pretty good," Feng Ye agrees with a slight smile, his eyes briefly scanning the direction of the entrance.
This simple smile and glance are enough to make the heart of a young girl, peeking in from the doorway with half her head exposed, skip a beat.
He looked over here!!
"(...)
Feng Ye shakes his head inwardly, amused by the situation. It has been a while since he last experienced this. Back in the world of Naruto, he had often felt that just stepping out could lead to being swarmed by adoring girls.
In this world, although he hasn't altered his appearance, his reputation as a "traveler" precedes him, commanding a different kind of respect that prevents such scenes from unfolding too often in the towns he visits.
Robin, too, glances outside with the corner of her eye. She is well aware of Feng Ye's charm, but she can't help but feel a bit exasperated at the reactions of these girls, who have never met Feng Ye before and know nothing of his identity.
"What is this, the custom of the Land of Fire?" she thinks, slightly closing her eyes in mild irritation.
Robin followed close behind.
"He's coming out!"
The women gathered outside exclaimed, their eyes sparkling with excitement as they watched Feng Ye approach.
A sixteen-year-old girl, her cheeks flushed, asked, "C-Can you tell me your name?"
"Young man, come and sit in my shop," a mature and alluring woman in her twenties cooed, her eyes filled with springtime warmth.
A cacophony of voices filled the air as more people took notice of the situation.
"Please do not disturb this gentleman," Robin said calmly to the crowd, her hands clasped in front of her.
Arms reached out from the crowd, pushing aside those clustered at the entrance to make way for Feng Ye.
"Hey! Don't push me!"
"You pushed me first!"
The arms that Robin had created with her Devil Fruit ability vanished into petals after pushing the crowd aside. Soon, those who had been pushed started arguing among themselves.
Feng Ye chuckled lightly, unbothered by the commotion, and continued walking forward.
It wasn't until Feng Ye had made his way through the crowd and was walking along the side of the street that the arguing girls finally snapped out of their daze.
"Oh no... I didn't even get his name!"
"And I don't even know where he lives..."
Several people began following Feng Ye from behind.
As time passed, Feng Ye strolled down one street after another, and the crowd trailing him grew larger, causing quite a stir in the town.
Robin glanced back at the group, which had now swelled to several dozen people, and a hint of exasperation flashed in her eyes. "This is quite a ruckus, Captain."
She had no doubt that someone would have pounced on them by now if she hadn't been using her Devil Fruit ability to hold them back.
What's more, some of the women in the crowd were married, with buns in their hair, and she even spotted what appeared to be mothers and daughters, similar in appearance but with an age gap of over a decade.
What kind of customs does this country have?! Robin thought in dismay.
Just then, the men of the Flower Capital, who had noticed the commotion, began to show signs of distress.
"Oh no... This is terrible..."
Such a scene hadn't been witnessed in many years.
The last man to elicit this kind of reaction from the women of the Flower Capital, causing them to lose their senses one after another, was Kozuki Sukiyaki, the rightful heir to the position of the country's shogun. After Sukiyaki, no man had appeared in the Flower Capital who could match his immense popularity.
"Where did that man come from...?"
"Oh no, I need to stop my wife and daughter..."
The men joined in the efforts to hold back the crowd, adding to the chaos on the street.
Robin breathed a slight sigh of relief, as the chaos also deterred some of the women from getting too close.
Noticing the scene behind him, Feng Ye smiled softly. He had intentionally not tried to conceal his aura or diminish his presence; his purpose was simple—to see if he could replicate the effect that Kozuki Sukiyaki had on the women of the Flower Capital.
"Robin, come over here," Feng Ye said as he stopped in front of a clothing store. He peered into the shop, waved at Robin, and said, "Look, that dress would suit you perfectly."
Robin paid no more attention to the chaos behind her. She glanced in the direction Feng Ye was indicating and then turned to him with a charming smile. "Do you want to see me in that dress, sir?"
