Chapter 405: All Heavens as Enemies, Beyond the Thirty-Three Heavens (Part 2)
Chapter 405: All Heavens as Enemies, Beyond the Thirty-Three Heavens (120,000 Words for Monthly Votes) (Part 2)
After a long silence, the Primordial Ancestor sighed and said to Li Hao, "Name your condition. The Saints of the Thirty-Three Heavens are all here, and we will do our best to meet any condition!"
Hearing this, the saints all fixed their gazes on Li Hao, pondering what outrageous demands he might make.
Seeing their expressions and the earnest look in the Primordial Ancestor's eyes, Li Hao found it ironic.
He had initially wanted to toy with them, to make an exaggerated demand and watch them scramble, but now it seemed rather pointless.
He shook his head slightly, his interest waning, and said:
"My condition is simple: don't disturb me. Let me rest for a hundred years."
"After a hundred years, we'll see how I feel."
The saints were taken aback, looking at each other in surprise, not expecting Li Hao to have such a minimal demand.
However, Li Hao hadn't agreed to let them pass, which left them somewhat baffled.
"Heavenly Venerated Hao, we are serious."
The Primordial Ancestor said.
Li Hao raised his eyelids and stared at him, "I am serious too."
The Primordial Ancestor seemed to understand Li Hao's intentions and, after a moment of silence, sighed, "Alright, we'll table this for now. You've just returned, and I know you're not in the best mood. Take some time to calm down."
With that, he waved his hand at the saints, signaling them not to provoke Li Hao further.
In fact, without his signal, the saints would not have dared to provoke Li Hao again, given how he had effortlessly slain a Three Calamities Sage with a single move, displaying terrifying power.
"Everyone, leave the Ancient Hall. This place will be sealed off, and no one is to approach without my permission."
Li Hao said.
Upon hearing this, the Primordial Ancestor and the other Holy Capital members hesitated.
"Heavenly Venerated Hao, this is going too far. You won't let us through, and you won't even let us study on our own?"
A sage couldn't help but murmur, but he remained on high alert, fearing Li Hao might strike again.
Li Hao was already tired of explaining and simply said coldly, "So what if I don't?"
The sage was momentarily speechless, unable to respond.
"Must there be bloodshed here to teach you all a lesson?"
Li Hao repeated, his eyes now filled with a murderous intent.
The saints' expressions changed, and if it were just a matter of dealing with Li Hao, they might have been willing to band together. But as Li Hao had pointed out, if he were a disciple of the Immortal Sect and they failed to kill him, allowing him to escape back to the Immortal God Realm, it would only make things worse.
The Primordial Ancestor waved his hand, "Let's follow Heavenly Venerated Hao's words, everyone, leave."
As he spoke, he used telepathy, and the saints, after a moment of hesitation, silently agreed.
Under the lead of the god king and the Primordial Ancestor, the saints exited the star rift.
Li Hao was the last to leave. He didn't know how to cast arrays and couldn't seal the rift himself. He telepathically contacted the Medicine Sage and the Sword Master, asking if any of them knew about arrays.
The Medicine Sage indicated that he had some knowledge of arrays and could seal the area.
The Sword Master, like Li Hao, was not proficient in arrays.
Li Hao entrusted the sealing task to the Medicine Sage and then drove the saints out of the Ancient Hall.
"Within the next hundred years, if anyone comes here without my permission and I find out, don't blame me for coming to exterminate you!"
Li Hao warned the saints, finding that threats were more effective than reason.
The saints, though angry, remained silent, not daring to voice their discontent.
Li Hao didn't care what they thought. He had initially planned to get along with them, but now that he saw they weren't as he had imagined, he no longer bothered.
"Sword Master, how are Old Feng and the others?"
After the saints left, Li Hao invited the Sword Master to return with him and inquired about Old Feng.
Hearing Li Hao's question, the Sword Master had initially wanted to ask more about the ancient demons, but his expression suddenly turned grim as he said:
"Brother Feng and Brother Lie had an incident not long after you entered the Ancient Hall."
"Something happened?"
Li Hao was momentarily taken aback.
He had planned to return and catch up with Old Feng, have a drink, and meet up with the friends from the Flower Touring Society. Then, he intended to visit the Mortal World to see Qianqian, Emperor Yu, and others, to check if they wanted to come to the Land of Sages.
With Li Hao's current strength, he could freely travel between the Mortal World and the Land of Sages.
Moreover, as a Sacrificial Dao to Sagehood practitioner, visiting the Mortal World wouldn't have a significant impact on him. The only downside was that the Incense Power within him would slowly diminish.
However, compared to catching up with friends, this minor loss of Incense Power didn't bother Li Hao at all.
He wasn't primarily reliant on Incense Power.
"Indeed, Feng Brother and Lying Heaven Sage are from the same sect. Did you know that?"
Sword Master asked.
Li Hao was taken aback, somewhat confused. This was something Old Feng had never mentioned to him.
However, he had noticed that Old Feng and Lying Heaven Sage were quite familiar with each other, contrary to the hostile relationship the outside world assumed.
He had thought they had become acquainted over time while living in the Little Thousand World.
Seeing Li Hao's expression, Sword Master seemed to understand something. He sighed and said:
"It looks like Feng Brother didn't want to involve you, so he didn't tell you that they are from the same sect. I only found out about it after the incident."
He continued, "Feng Brother and Lying Heaven Sage were originally attendants in Mivu Heaven. Later, they were involved in an incident where a top-tier Dao Armament embryo went missing. They were suspected of being involved in the theft, but no evidence was found on them. As a result, they were expelled.
"This time, they took advantage of the Saints of the Thirty-Three Heavens visiting here. A few Sages from Mivu Heaven also came, leaving the place unguarded. They went to Mivu Heaven, caused a commotion, and confronted their former Master, but they were suppressed and are now imprisoned there."
Hearing this, Li Hao was stunned and immediately said, "Mivu Heaven? I don't recall there being a place like that in the Thirty-Three Heavens."
"That's not part of the Thirty-Three Heavens", Sword Master explained. "The ruler of Mivu Heaven is also a Supreme Sage and holds a significant position among the Supreme Sages. They operate independently from the Thirty-Three Heavens, having created a Holy Land in the Void, isolated from the world. You've only been in the Land of Sages for a short time, so you haven't heard of them. They only emerge once every few hundred years."
"Besides Mivu Heaven, there are other places like Qianluo Holy Land and the Nine Heavens Immortal Continent, all located in the Void, outside the Thirty-Three Heavens. They don't get involved in the affairs of the Thirty-Three Heavens, but their power is not to be underestimated, as they are all governed by Supreme Sages."
Li Hao nodded, somewhat enlightened, and said, "It seems there are more Supreme Sages in the Land of Sages than I imagined."
"They are from ancient times, tired of the conflicts, or perhaps they are reclusive by nature", Sword Master said, shaking his head. He looked at Li Hao and continued, "Now that you're back, with your strength, you can take charge of Feng Brother's situation."
Li Hao nodded and immediately said, "Let's go now."
At that moment, Li Hao recalled why Old Feng and Lying Heaven Sage hadn't participated in the Ancient Hall. They must have been involved in something important of their own.
Even the Immortal God Path couldn't lure them away, indicating how significant this matter was to them.
"Should we go directly?"
Sword Master pondered for a moment. He had initially planned to return with Li Hao and discuss the matter in detail, but considering Li Hao's recent display of strength, he felt no further planning was necessary. He promptly changed direction.
As Li Hao followed Sword Master to Mivu Heaven, on the other side, the Primordial Ancestor and the god king, along with others, left the Ancient Hall and did not part ways. Instead, they rallied the other Sages and gathered in a nearby Minor World.
They didn't go to Tianyuan Minor World to avoid drawing too much attention and being noticed by Li Hao.
"Primordial Ancestor, we should have combined our powers earlier to capture that boy directly. We could have interrogated him about his Cultivation Immortal Art. If he refused to cooperate, we could have killed him and taken control of his reincarnation body. We would have found out eventually", a Sage said, clearly dissatisfied, as the barrier sealed off the area, isolating it from the outside world.
"That might have worked, but it was too impulsive and risky. If we couldn't prevent him from returning to the Immortal God World, we would be completely finished", another Sage, more cautious, replied with a shake of his head.
"Ultimately, that boy is too strong, and his progress has been terrifying!"
"Yes, in just twelve short years, the time it takes to snap your fingers, he managed to become a top Supreme Sage. This is truly terrifying."
"There's no helping it. He wields an Immortal Art, which is on a different level from us."
"So what should we do now? He refuses to agree, so are we really going to wait for a hundred years? I suspect he has other motives and is deliberately delaying. Perhaps he wants to wait a hundred years until he cultivates to a true Immortal Deity before letting us go."
"That's right. Maybe the Immortal God World is severely short on people, and once we arrive, we'll be highly valued, dividing his cultivation resources. I can't think of any other reason."
The various Sages spoke up one after another.
The Primordial Ancestor and the God King remained silent. Once the Sages' arguments quieted down, the Primordial Ancestor said:
"The reason we didn't act earlier is that we didn't have the confidence."
Hearing the Primordial Ancestor's words, the Sages were stunned and looked at the God King, who had a cold expression, seemingly acknowledging the Primordial Ancestor's statement. This realization sent a shock through their hearts.
They had only guessed, but the Primordial Ancestor's confirmation was enough to show that the Venerated Hao was even more terrifying than they had sensed!
"This can't be. Back then, even the God King was sealed. Now, with all our power combined, we still can't do anything to him?"
Someone couldn't help but say, glancing at the God King.
The God King snorted coldly and said, "That boy didn't even use his full strength when he faced my attack. He is far more formidable than I was back then."
Hearing the God King's admission, the Sages fell silent.
"So, are we really just going to wait for a hundred years?"
"What if he still refuses after a hundred years? Another hundred years after that?"
"He said it depends on his mood. We, the Sages of the Thirty-Three Heavens, have to rely on his goodwill. This is too humiliating!"
The Sages muttered among themselves.
Ying Xiaoxiao, sitting among them, secretly sighed with relief. She couldn't help but feel happy for Li Hao. She never imagined that the young man she first met at the tea stall would, in just a few years, become someone the Sages of the Thirty-Three Heavens couldn't handle. It was truly unbelievable.
The God King noticed Ying Xiaoxiao's smile and snorted coldly, saying to her:
"Go out first and settle your clan members!"
Ying Xiaoxiao was taken aback, her face changing slightly as she sensed that the Ancestor seemed to be deliberately sending her away.
"I can arrange the clan members using my Incarnation. I will stay here to accompany the Ancestor."
Ying Xiaoxiao quickly said, trying to appear obedient.
The God King, however, sneered inwardly. He had long lost hope in this descendant of his bloodline. If not for her exceptional talent and the mysterious power within her that even he couldn't fully understand, he would have already refined her and integrated her into his bloodline divine art.
"How can such an important matter be handled by an Incarnation? Don't forget that besides the Sages here, our Divine Race's enemies also include the Qian Luo Palace outside the Thirty-Three Heavens. If they launch a surprise attack, can you take responsibility?"
The God King said coldly.
Ying Xiaoxiao's face changed slightly. Two Sages from the Qian Luo Palace were nearby, and they exchanged glances. One of them said:
"God King, those were old grudges. As long as you don't hold a grudge, our Palace Master won't bring up the past either."
The God King sneered inwardly. Not hold a grudge? If not for the current situation, he would have spared none of those who sealed him!
But he only snorted coldly and said to Ying Xiaoxiao, "Are you still standing there? Do I need to ask you again?"
Ying Xiaoxiao's face changed, and she quickly stood up, saying, "I dare not, Ancestor. I will go right away."
With that, she turned and left the Holy Land.
Once Ying Xiaoxiao was gone, the God King glanced at the two Sages from the Qian Luo Palace, ignoring them, and said to the Primordial Ancestor:
"You must have some thoughts. Speak your mind."
The Primordial Ancestor knew he couldn't hide anything from this old adversary. He looked around at the Sages and said:
"Have any of you ever considered why he would return with such strength?"
The Sages were taken aback; they hadn't thought about it in detail.
"You may not know, but from the Force Mastery to the Enlightened Realm, there is an Ultimate Realm. Why not for Sages? It's not that it doesn't exist; it's just that no one has ever cultivated to that level."
The Primordial Ancestor said solemnly, "But from the messages left in some relics from the Primordial Era, I know that the Sage Ultimate Realm requires the Unity of three powers: Incense, Sacrificial Dao, and Extreme Dao, all cultivated to their peak limits!"
Though he had become a disciple of an Immortal Deity and his strength had soared, the Incense of the Immortal God Realm would be even harder to seize, as it was controlled by other Immortal Deities. Given the vastness of this place, only by returning here could he swiftly accumulate Incense!
Hearing this, the Saints finally understood.
"So he came here for the Incense."
"I had my suspicions earlier, but I didn't realize it was related to the Sage Ultimate Realm."
The Saints exchanged glances.
The Primordial Ancestor said, "He needs Incense. He believes that with his current strength, which rivals that of a Supreme Sage, he can accumulate enough Incense in a hundred years. But he vastly underestimates the amount required to Cultivate to the Ultimate Realm."
"The hundred years he mentioned is just an excuse. If my predictions are correct, it will take at least a thousand years!"
"A thousand years..."
The Saints looked at each other, but they weren't too surprised; they even thought the Primordial Ancestor might be underestimating the time needed.
After all, the Supreme Sages present had Cultivated for more than a thousand years and hadn't even reached the Incense Ultimate Realm.
"What does the Primordial Ancestor suggest?"
"Since he needs Incense, let's make it impossible for him to obtain it!"
The Primordial Ancestor calmly said, "He claims to be doing this for the common people, so let the common people speak. If we cut off his Incense, he will naturally come to the table to negotiate with us!"
"I see."
"The Primordial Ancestor is indeed thorough. He pretends to be virtuous, but once the common people cut off his Incense, we'll see how desperate he becomes!"
The Saints chatted among themselves.
The Primordial Ancestor glanced at the god king and then addressed the other Saints, "Additionally, don't forget about the Holy Infant. I just probed the Mortal World, and the second Holy Infant is currently traveling and sightseeing, seemingly gaining insight into the Heavenly Human Peak, though he hasn't yet truly grasped it."
Hearing this good news, the Holy Capitals' eyes lit up with delight.
"If the second Holy Infant comprehends the Sixth Extreme Realm, we won't need Hao Tian's help to enter the Immortal God Path!"
"That's right. His arrogance stems from the fact that no Sixth Extreme Realm has appeared in All Heavens."
"We must keep this a secret. By the way, the Holy Infant plan involves the Sword Master and Wen Sheng. Will they inform the Heavenly Venerated Hao?"
"Simple. We will work together to conceal the second Holy Infant's progress."
The Saints immediately began to discuss the details closely.
...
In the Void beyond the Thirty-Three Heavens, within Mivu Heaven.
A towering Holy Land stood.
Li Hao and the Sword Master hurried there. They saw an array surrounding the Holy Land, isolating it from the outside world. If not for the Sword Master's knowledge of the route, even Enlightened Realm practitioners passing by would be deceived by the surrounding mists and fly elsewhere.
"This is the Holy Land of Mivu Heaven's ruler, the Sage Mivu. Besides his formidable combat prowess, he also masters the art of forging and has extensive connections among the Heavenly Beings. However, he later retreated and lost contact with the outside world", the Sword Master explained to Li Hao.
Li Hao nodded and approached the Holy Land, his Soul Spirit vibrating as he sent a telepathic message: "I am Hao Tian, and I have come to pay a visit. Please open the gate and meet me!"
After a moment, a figure flew out from the Holy Land, a Sage who approached the array. He sized up Li Hao and then glanced at the Sword Master, clearly recognizing him. He nodded slightly and then asked curiously, "Why have you two come here?"
"Is Feng Boping and the Lying Heaven Sage here?" Li Hao asked coldly.
The Sage understood Li Hao's intentions immediately. "Yes."
"Release them."
The Sage raised an eyebrow and laughed lightly, "Young man, you are quite presumptuous. I've never heard of you, and even the Sword Master beside you wouldn't dare speak such grand words in Mivu Heaven."
"I'll say it again. Release them."
As Li Hao spoke, he suddenly raised his hand, and the broken blade slashed out, cutting through the array. A cold, menacing aura surged toward the Sage, pressing against his neck.
The Sage froze, clearly surprised that the array, which he had set up, was so easily breached by Li Hao. He recovered and his expression changed, asking, "What kind of Imperial Weapon is this? How many tribulations has it endured?"
“What’s it got to do with you?”
Li Hao said coldly, “Do I need to destroy your Holy Land to get them to let go?”
Recognizing Li Hao’s formidable aura, the Sage quickly said, “Don’t be hasty. Senior Brother Feng and Senior Sister Bai are in seclusion. The Master hasn’t mistreated them.”
“Hmm?”
Li Hao was taken aback, and Sword Master was also stunned, exclaiming, “In seclusion?”
“Yes.”
The Sage gave a bitter smile. “I’m sure you’re aware of their relationship with my master. It was once a misunderstanding, but now all grudges have been cleared. The Master has missed them a lot over the years and has been worried they might still hold a grudge. For other reasons, he hasn’t sought them out. I didn’t expect them to come to the Master this time.”
He sighed, “The mistakes of the past have left the Master remorseful. Now, he is making amends by gifting them Dao Armaments and Immortal Herbs. They have been in seclusion for over a decade, still in the process of refining them.”
Li Hao and Sword Master exchanged a glance. Li Hao asked, “You said Immortal Herbs?”
“Yes,” the Sage nodded. “The Master found an ancient Immortal Herb in a relic Cave Mansion many years ago. He spent countless efforts to nurture it back to life. Now, he has refined it into a pill and given it to Senior Brother Feng and Senior Sister Bai.”
Li Hao knew that the Senior Sister Bai he mentioned was likely the Lying Heaven Sage. He pondered for a moment and said, “Take me to see them. I need to see for myself.”
The Sage, seeing Li Hao’s determination, replied, “Then I’ll take you to meet my Master first. We need his permission.”
Li Hao nodded in agreement.
They then followed the Sage to the Holy Land. On the peak of the Holy Land, in a grand hall, the Sage settled Li Hao and Sword Master. Soon after, an elderly Sage Incarnation with flowing white hair appeared. His eyes narrowed slightly when he saw Li Hao, then scanned Sword Master with a gentle smile.
“That young man from Sword Capital who couldn’t decide, has now become a Sword Saint.”
“Sword Saint is my junior brother. I don’t handle matters,” Sword Master quickly stood up and said.
The elderly man before them was older and more powerful than his own Master.
Mitian Supreme Sage smiled and then turned to Li Hao, “You are the young man that Little Feng mentioned, the one he asked me to look after. It seems Little Feng was mistaken. Your cultivation is so advanced, you’re almost a Supreme Sage. You don’t need anyone to look after you.”
Li Hao, seeing his kind and benevolent appearance, thought, This is Old Feng’s Master?
He stood up and said, “Senior, can I see Old Feng to confirm his safety?”
Mitian Supreme Sage chuckled, “Of course, go ahead and see him.”
With that, he led Li Hao to the back mountain of the Holy Land, to a Cave Mansion.
As the array and restrictions were deactivated, Li Hao saw a hidden paradise within the Cave Mansion, complete with a medicinal garden and a small courtyard. In the center of the garden was a stone platform where Old Feng and Lying Heaven Sage were seated, with an Imperial Weapon glowing before them. Their auras were restrained yet powerful, far stronger than before.
"Unfortunately, the Immortal Herb in my hands could only be refined into an ordinary pill, at best helping them reach the Heavenly Dao and barely attain the level of a Supreme Sage."
Mitian Supreme Sage sighed.
Seeing that Old Feng and the others were unharmed, Li Hao felt a sense of relief. However, he was also startled by the Sage’s words, realizing that this Mitian Supreme Sage might be on par with the Primordial Ancestor.
“Since Old Feng and the others are safe, I’m relieved.”
Li Hao said, then noticed the regret on Mitian Supreme Sage’s face. He glanced at the medicinal garden, where three Immortal Herbs were surrounded by misty light, with many other spirit herbs around them, seemingly providing nutrients to the Immortal Herbs.
Refining these Immortal Herbs requires Immortal Power to guide the process. Li Hao asked, “Senior, do you have access to the Sixth Extreme Realm?”
Mitian Supreme Sage shook his head slightly, “If I had access to the Sixth Extreme Realm, I could guide the medicinal power of the Immortal Herb, perhaps refining it into an Immortal Pill.”
Li Hao nodded and then said, “If it’s possible, I can try to help.”
Mitian Supreme Sage looked at Li Hao in surprise, then seemed to recall something and narrowed his eyes, “You are the new saint in All Heavens, the one who reached the Sixth Extreme Realm, right?”
