Chapter 4: The Divine Martial Emperor
Chapter 4: The Divine Martial Emperor
Kankuro remained silent for a long time before furrowing his brows and speaking up, "If what you're saying is true, then you might indeed be from another dimensional world. I've heard from Scorpion before that the people in the imperial capital started researching this a long time ago, but they haven't made much progress..."
"Another dimensional world? What's that?" Naruto asked, intrigued.
"Legend has it that every world has countless facets, and within each facet are countless versions of yourself, but each self may be slightly different. I never thought it would actually be true..." Kankuro explained.
"Although I don't fully understand, do you believe us, Kankuro? I knew it, you're a weird guy, but I knew you were a good person!" Naruto exclaimed joyfully.
"Don't act like you know me so well," Kankuro said coldly. "No matter what you say, the Naruto you know is not me."
"But I believe that no matter which world you're from, you're a good person!" Naruto said with a goofy smile.
"You..." Kankuro covered his face, but a slight smile tugged at the corners of his mouth. "You're a bit dumb, but you're not that annoying. I'll tentatively believe what you're saying."
Kankuro raised his right arm and fiddled with a watch-like device on his wrist.
Soon, a beam of light shot out from the watch.
A young man with smoky eyes, red hair, and a red outfit appeared. Behind him were towering skyscrapers and a vast green plain where people were frolicking freely.
"Big brother Kankuro, what's the matter?" The young man, Gaara, asked calmly.
"Gaara! It's really you, Gaara! What is this? Is it something like a television?" Naruto exclaimed in surprise.
Gaara was taken aback by Naruto's sudden exclamation and shifted his gaze to him, looking bewildered. "This is... Naruto? No, he's completely different from the Naruto I know. He's not this skinny, his fashion sense isn't this bad, and he doesn't have that strange beard. But he looks so much like Naruto. Could he be Naruto's brother? Did Minato and Kushina have another child in secret? This..." Gaara's thoughts trailed off as he tried to make sense of the situation.
"Hey! Who are you calling a bad fashion sense?! This is my best outfit!" Naruto retorted indignantly before his eyes widened as if he had just realized something. "And who are Minato and Kushina? How am I related to you in this world?"
Yamato, standing beside Naruto, felt his heart skip a beat. Are these two still alive in this world? What will Naruto think of Konoha when he learns about his parents? Yamato couldn't help but worry about the potential impact on Naruto's perception of the village. To be honest, he had never quite understood why the higher-ups had treated Naruto so harshly since childhood...
But he didn't have much time to dwell on these thoughts as Kankuro interrupted Naruto's train of thought.
"Gaara, don't mind him. I have an important matter to report to His Majesty, the Divine Martial Emperor, but I don't have the authority to communicate with him directly," Kankuro said gravely.
"I understand. I'll connect you to His Majesty right away," Gaara replied, immediately shifting his attention away from Naruto and operating the device on his own wrist.
Soon, the scene before them distorted and then reformed.
Everything changed.
A man with an incredibly muscular build, his bare upper body resembling solid rock, came into view. His long hair was wild, and he exuded a primal, untamed aura. Enormous chains bound his limbs, and behind him was a plain littered with massive iron blocks, each as big as a mountain. There were at least a dozen of these blocks, each one causing the ground to sink and crack under their immense weight.
The man dragged these colossal blocks as he took slow, heavy steps forward, the ground shaking and cracking with each movement.
The entire scene was awe-inspiring and utterly breathtaking.
The man before them exuded an aura that gave one the illusion that he was not human, but a divine being.
"It's Kankuro. It's been two years since you graduated from Imperial Capital University, and you've been with the Mobile Warrior Group in the Oasis for two years now. How are things?" The man asked, his gaze sharp as he slowly came to a stop.
"Thanks to Your Majesty's blessing, I'm doing well! You seem to be getting stronger and stronger! It's truly a blessing for the Empire!" Kankuro replied, his voice filled with emotion.
The guards standing nearby and the crowd of onlookers couldn't help but exclaim in awe:
"It's the Divine Martial Emperor! It's really him!"
"Ah! The Divine Martial Emperor is so handsome! His muscles are so sexy!"
"Is this the power of the Divine Martial Emperor? It's enough to destroy everything and create everything anew! He's so powerful!"
"Divine Martial Emperor! I want to have your children!"
"We love you, Divine Martial Emperor!"
The onlookers and guards seemed to have gone crazy.
Naruto, Sakura, Yamato, and Sai's faces turned pale as they witnessed this scene. Sakura, being the academic genius of the group, quickly calculated the weight of the objects being dragged by the emperor in front of them.
It was at least several dozen to a hundred billion tons!
Was this even humanly possible?
Yamato, Sai, and Naruto may not have been academic geniuses like Sakura, but they knew how absurd this display of strength was.
Even the Nine-Tails, a powerful beast, might not be able to match the person in front of them. Yamato thought uncertainly.
In his limited understanding, the Nine-Tails was the strongest existence he knew.
After all, even a Kage-level powerhouse would struggle to deal with it.
It was a monster capable of razing villages and destroying countries!
"Hmm... So, what brings you to me this time? Speak, Kankuro."
The Divine Martial Emperor smiled and nodded gently to those around him, his expression calm.
"Your Majesty, look over here!"
Kankuro slightly adjusted his wrist device and stepped aside, directing it toward Naruto and the others.
The Divine Martial Emperor's brows furrowed slightly as he noticed this, and he asked with a hint of suspicion:
"Who are these four?"
"Your Majesty, these four claim to be Uzumaki Naruto, Haruno Sakura, Yamato, and Sai from another world. It is a world very similar to ours, yet vastly different," Kankuro explained respectfully. "In their world, the age of the ninja villages, filled with ignorance, stupidity, and backwardness, has not yet ended, and it persists. They were sent by Hokage Tsunade on a mission to capture a man named Centipede, and they ended up here in our world due to the power of the Dragon Vein."
"What do you mean by the age of ninja villages being filled with ignorance, stupidity, and backwardness? The villages aren't as bad as you make them sound!" Naruto protested loudly.
This caused the trio beside him to have their hearts leap into their mouths.
Naruto, why are you so fearless and outspoken? The man before you is no ordinary person! He's the emperor of a powerful empire. Are you truly unafraid of death? How dare you shout like that in front of such a person?
The guards and villagers around them glared at Naruto, furious at his audacity.
"Shut up, you remnant of the ninja villages!"
"How dare you be so rude in front of the great Divine Martial Emperor! Who do you think you are?"
"You despicable scum! I'll make you pay!"
"Lock him up and let him taste the Empire's harshest torture!"
"Uzumaki Naruto! You've gone too far! Don't think that just because you know me from your world, you can be so disrespectful to the great Divine Martial Emperor! Apologize to His Majesty at once, or I'll make you regret ever being born into this world!"
Even Kankuro, who had maintained a calm demeanor, now wore a stern expression.
His sharp tone startled Sakura, Sai, and Yamato.
